A Gray as much as I really would like to the car is used regularly on track and I would struggle with noise regs

Alfrodoo S the manifold and downpipe can be bought from a couple of company’s. I would say Engine Dynamics and Ktec racing are the main two here in the UK.

Alex Rogowski Me and Nick went to school together and both have always been into cars. I use to help him with his videos and when I decided to turbo mine I thought I’d have a go at doing my own. Sadly the engine I bought seized in a couple weeks so I ended up rebuilding it. Should have built fresh to start 😂

Anything over 220bhp doesn’t work on a fwd on the track especially.
Well its been at 330+ for a few years, tbf it took some time and fettling but she handles it well now. Lots of suspension tweets was needed. On a tight short circuit she isn't to good, it's either all wheel spin or lack 😂 but most proper tracks it's all good

Hey, alot was memory but theres also AutoData for information and the forums are a great help. Most things can be found with a little help from google too! Tho I'm sure a Haynes Manual would help, tho k dont have one sadly .

So what exactly happened , it spun the crank bearing and cracked it? What was the cause? Were they non-genuine bearings or?
BIAWolf I couldn’t find a cause/issue with the engine. The Renaults don’t run tabbed bearings so a spun bearing can happen (tabbed now fitted) either the bearing compacted alittle allowing movement, bolt stretch? Oil starved? Either way the bearing spun, heated up and welded the engine soild. The cap had to be broke loose and the remains of the bearing cranked to free the Conrod.
Steffrallye that's interesting, I currently run a low boost 182 and I plan on building a forged engine to run 280ish but I want it bulletproof for track, are the king bearings you got tabbed then? Do you know if the ACL race bearings are tabbed ? Cheers
Steffrallye nevermind! I just realised it was your Conrod bearing not the crank bearing (big end bearing?) or whatever you call it, I saw you got it tabbed in your other video, that's interesting I'll look into the same thing!
BIAWolf yes the Conrod bearings are the ones I got tabbed, there the ones that suffer the most. I couldn’t say if the ACL Conrod bearings are tabbed best to speak to the supplier to find out. Just take your time, check and recheck measurements and try not skimp out on cheap parts (ignore my Chinese rod 😂) it’s all up a running now I’ll have to get another video together

Definitely, was the first video I did and was more just playing with the camera. But a removal video would have been great
