Okay that OST's really convincing me to get this game. I tried the first Redout a while back and while I enjoyed it I was kinda put off by the handling model of "bump into walls at the correct angle to win on higher difficulties", if you've played both how would you say the handling compares?
@@rapidemboar4625 Redout 2 has much more responsive handling than Redout 1 but that comes at the cost of really janky wall collision. You can't really scrape a wall in Redout 2, it feels more like og WipEout where one bump nearly stops you entirely. Also, Redout 1 has much better handling when you aren't on the track (like when jumping or during spaceflight segments on the moon and Neptune tracks)
@@northieee I can see it being considered too easy by people who are experienced in this genre of racing. They had to tune the difficulty because it was considered too hard which is why the early game can feel easy nowadays. However, the difficulty will ramp up midway through A league as you get faster & tracks become more complex. There's always competitive TA and MP too.

Ya still wiped the floor with them, and you got close to exploding due to overheating like 6 times XD
Seems like a normal race to me.
I have a setting enabled that keeps the game from letting me blow myself up. It's not a full invulnerability, it just doesn't let me overheat my ship.

@@northieee it has a high bar of entry, that may be why. Start with Redout 1 to get used to braking, strafing, and drifting. From there, get into ro2

You got anymore AG racing games like this where it's just raw speed? Really not into the gimmicks of the others
yeah today i posted a short of the fastest possible speed in redout 2. if you want fast games in general look for Redout 2, BallisticNG, and Aero GPX
