    I use my front rack on my atv all the time. Holds my rotopax spare fuel containers when we are on longer trail rides. I can mount two 2 gallon ones across it and they are low enough to not interfer with my center mounted light on my honda rubicon 520. I have a case on the rear rack for jackets, recovery equipment, food, etc. Also by having the fuel up front I can keep an eye on it for leaks and such.

    I went with black 12 inch OEM Yamaha wheels from the EPS with Kenda Bearclaw HTR's, 26-9x12 and 26-11x12. Had them on my 18 Brute and they were awsome. Now having a set on my 22 Grizzly SE makes it ride like a dream. Just did 55 mph on the highway and smooth as glass. PSA tho, if your going to a 12 inch wheel, you have to change out the rock/brake disc guards, which is a PIA.

    • @OdysseyOffroad
      @OdysseyOffroad  Год назад

      Yup I know about the rock guards in the wheels. I would just trim the current ones. A lot of people like those tires but I found more than just a couple people who complain about balancing issues with them seems to be pretty hit or miss. I just don't want to chance it.

    I like the look with the front rack off! Tire choice is definitely a tuff one with the 14" wheels. Unfortunately those wheels look great, so I'd hate to see you have to switch them out..

    • @OdysseyOffroad
      @OdysseyOffroad  Год назад

      Thanks man, yeah I like the look without the rack. If you're not going to use it just makes sense to remove it. The width of the wheels is really what makes it difficult because you don't really want to put a 9-in wide tire on a 8-in wide rim because it leaves little rim protection. The rims are nice so I hate to get rid of them. Also was talking to Brian I may go with the terra cross in 26x10

    Couple of considerations. The Rox Risers are definitely very nice and allows for choosing your own MX handlebars. Like you, I didn't care for the included bars that came with the Rox kit and I ended up sourcing bars that have a greater sweep and are also a bit wider. That ended up working out really well and I wish Rox would allow for more handlebar options in their kits. However, if I were doing it over, I would just buy the risers and source my own handlebars to suit my needs. Secondly, you could just grind down those OEM handlebar tabs to allow you to space out things better on those bars.

    • @OdysseyOffroad
      @OdysseyOffroad  Год назад

      Yeah that's a great idea to get different handlebars which ones did you go with? I like the sweep of the factory ones how they come back to you a little bit.

    • @RedRocket204
      @RedRocket204 Год назад

      @@OdysseyOffroad I tried a couple different ones to get some sweep into MX style handlebars to fit on the Rox risers but was looking for something with the sweep not quite as pronounced as the OEM bar sweep. I ultimately settled on RENTHAL Yamaha YFZ 450 07+ Fatbar Handlebars. There is one Renthal version that has a bit more sweep but was unable to source it during the shutdown. I was very patient and methodical looking through all the available aftermarket MX bars that would fit and that had more sweep than what Rox sells in their kit. You will actually find that the Yamaha OEM bars, at least to me, have excessive sweep on their bars and they are also going to be narrower. I'm assuming your Raptor has more of a MX feel to the bars?

    • @OdysseyOffroad
      @OdysseyOffroad  Год назад

      @@RedRocket204 yeah my Raptor I have pro taper wrapped or bend bars they have a bit of sweet to them but not as pronounced I don't think as the grizzly. But I like the big sweep on the 4x4s bringing the bars closer to me.

    i have the roxs bar riser and handle bars and it gave me about a inch and a half lift on the bars and 3 inches wider ish? i like them alot better because i found the stock bars would flex alot when turning and also i have the grizzly model that dase not come with powerstearing and my arms would get tired after a couple hours with the stock bars, after i put on the roxs risers and bar combo on that completely fixed thos issues, i found it much eazyer to turn, it puts the pivete point much higher so its lvl with your hands instead of it being so low compared to the bars where your hands are and they dont flex at all

      An LED light is not going to be a brighter light in the high beam. It's going to be wider but it won't give you as far of a throw down the trail as the halogen. It will look better and look brighter to look at it, but usable light is actually less. That third light is pointless. Anyway, if you use your front rack like it's intended. Light shines back in your eyes off of anything. You mail on the rack. Also, you usually traveling faster on the bike then the amount of trail that is actually illuminated by that upper light. It's just pointless and it's better off to be disabled and just use your lower lights for your high and low beam. If you really want extra light you get a light bar or pods
