I’ve been playing a lot of Palkia/kyurem lately. It’s been a nice brute force option against a lot of decks. Plus the battle deck mentions it in the build tips.
Great video man, I may grab one or two of these decks to mess around with. I have never played Palkia before so this seems like the absolute best way to get my hands on the cards. Keep up the outstanding work man, this was a really informative video.
Hey there. Thanks for tuning in. Palkia V counts as a basic pokemon. You need to wait until the card has been in play for at least one turn before you get to evolve it and play the VSTAR. There's some cards that break that rule (Wally, Boost Shake, Thorton, etc) but generally that's the rule for anything with a small evolution box in the top left corner. Hope this helped
The meta today play a lot of single prize pokemon and I think put too many two prizes pokemon is not worth it... I take this deck and added 2 dondozo and 4 tatsugiri insted of 1 bidoof 1 bibarel, suicune V, skwowet, 1 melany and heavy ball. At least you can knock down any single prize with dondozo even without having all of the tatsugiri in the discard pile...This way you may have only one V (palkia) in the bench and the opponents shall use a boss to make a ko for 2 prizes
Relatively new to pokemone tcg, and I'm curious why you'd want to run switch over escape rope at all. Why not just run 3 rope instead of splitting them?
Of course. It's a good question. In this build, I opted for more switch because I have to promote something after a knockout. What I want to KO is still in front of me most times, but my lead is not so certain. If i had to play escape rope, id also need a boss to get it back into the active. I would definitely consider going to a second rope and only one switch for goodra match ups. Rolling iron looks to be on the upswing. Going all in with your attacker could definitely eliminate my reasoning. I just hate committing to something early, missing entirely, and having no back up. I at one point had starmie V in the deck over Suicune to more easily use escape ropes
Garnet. Yup yugioh term. Great list thanks!

Definitely would love to revisit palkia/kyurem. It's such a powerhouse, but the loss of oranguru hurt the deck
@@goonsquadtcg that’s what switch cups and that back pack card is for 👍👍

Glad you enjoyed it. Palkia was by far my favourite deck of 2022. If you get to mess with it, please let me know how it fairs for you
hi i have a question which is should i add goodra vstar to my origin forme palkia deck?
I wouldn't. I'd look at Vulpix VSTAR before Goodra. It's really tough to accelerate to non-water pokemon
Hi! Thanks for the video. I am a newbie. Do i have to evolve palkia Vstar or can i play like a basic pokemon?
