Katt is rare amongst comedians in that he likes to get around and get to know every city he plays, and gets to know some of the people as well. It helps him relate to the audience and makes for some great comedic takes.
How is that rare? Have you tracked the movement patterns of other comedians or are you just posting something to look like you have some insider information on Mr Williams? I think the latter you liar.
@@bollockjohnson3706 Well, when have you seen this kind of detailed commentary from any other comedian? I think he knows what he's talking about.
@@dadestarmysteries255 yeah dude. Comedians riff on every town if they're worth anything. Andrew Schultz does it by ethnicity, stavi does it by childhood trauma. Ain't shit new here, ding dongs.
So many of you are missing the point.
Every comedian makes a moronic surface level comment about the city they're in.
To the point of where it's a meme.
"How's that weather in [insert location], huh?
What OP is saying Katt does is get to know the city, get to know the people, on a personal level beyond sports teams and local attractions that can be Googled.
He literally spoke of the place like he's lived there his entire life.
I've seen no other comedian do that for MULTIPLE locations frequently.
Give the man his props, and stop taking compliments to one comedian as an insult to whoever the last person name dropped.
If you know a comedian that does exactly what we're describing here (not something you think is like it, the exact thing) then name the comedians, and name the set.
Otherwise you're just being contrarian.
He does his homework.
I’ve never been to Jacksonville, FL but based on the audiences reaction it sounds like he had a super accurate description of each area.

As someone who still lives in Jacksonville, it's scary how accurate this is. He isn't wrong about the The Town Center, it's probably the whitest part of Jacksonville
And ?
As someone who still lives in Jacksonville, it's scary how the safest place to shop in Jacksonville is The Town Center. Maybe don't call it out as being "white" like you're some kind of raci$t moron. I would encourage you to engage in society in whatever way will make all of our communities safer, regardless of whatever local demographic constitutes the majority. I don't go to Town Center thinking it's white. I go thinking it's safe (to whatever degree it most currently is). And if it attains more of a "black" or other minority profile over time and is still safe, I'll still be shopping and dining there. Safe isn't a color, and...despite Leftists' attempts to make it so..."white" is not a pejorative. Since your original post is a couple years old, I sincerely hope you've ditched that leftist-pandering, raci$t mindset.

As a former Emerald Coast resident, I can confirm ALL this is true. Jacksonville actually is largest city in the US in terms of area, because the city claims all of Duval county and parts of others. Usually cities are WITHIN counties, not J-ville, the county is WITHIN the city..lol.
Only slightly inaccurate. Jville is the largest city in the lower 48. There are two cities in Alaska (Anchorage and Sitka) which have larger areas. Also Jacksonville has a consolidated city-county government. It doesn't claim areas outside Duval or even all of Duval as there are carve outs for Baldwin, and the three beach cities which have their own separate governments.
Jacksonville isn't the entire county of Duval County. Just about 95% of it. Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach are not part of the city of Jacksonville and neither is Baldwin. But all four are part of Duval County
@stgrsa yeah altho the small beach communities often rely on Jacksonville services when they get overwhelmed either for police or fire or administrative stuff and so on bc they are very very small places. Neptune Beach is like a few blocks
As a Jacksonville native I must say...it’s all true. ESPECIALLY Moncrief.
Washington heights 😭 Eureka Gardens too
Seems pretty stupid to film a special that goes out all over the country and the world and do so much content specific to that one location. I’m sure the people in the room had fun.
I tried watching the special. I turned it off after 15 minutes because it was all stuff about a place I’ve never been to and will never go to. None of it was relatable.
It wouldn’t have been hard to shift the jokes to be more general and include a point here or there to pay homage to the filming location.
@@zero11010 Uh no. This is how black comedians make money by appealing to the areas that host their shows at. Go take your wonderbread bs to Whole Foods.
@@umitencho you think that no other races of comedians pander to local audiences? You should watch more comedy.
This was a poor performance. It’s like doing a bunch of pop culture jokes that are immediately dated. It works at that moment with that crowd. It doesn’t work after. This reduces the rewatch value. Or, in this case it reduces the ability for this show to be enjoyed by people who aren’t in that room.
It shows a lack of foresight and a poor understanding of the medium that Netflix offers.
