Great video. It demonstrates the importance of going prepared.

Yes, I always think a little bit of knowledge and kit often turn what could be a serious incident into something relatively trivial.

And somewhere Jeff is having a good laugh at all of this. Great Job.

The only bit I remember from Longmoor area is Kyles Corner, coming back and seeing that on the way back into camp knackered and thinking shower, food, bar, bed!

You seemed very happy in this video. At least when the sun was out. :) Being "lost" makes for great stories. And, when people as why you carry a headlamp during the day you can explain why.

@dogdadoutdoors Would be great to hear more of your stories. I love listening to stuff like that.
Could I make a suggestion? A huge rise in e coli is making me worried about wild camping, and I am a bit naive when it comes to safety like that. I'm sure you would have some great advice as usual in how to prevent becoming infected. Seems to be a big issue right now. I did notice you talk about infections like ecoli and that other gastrointestinal disease in another video but might be worth making an update considering the worrying rise in cases.
A fisherman near me forgot to wash his hands, ate his sandwich, and was hospitalised almost near death.
      Thanks for your reply :)

@@dogdadoutdoors I was a bit hairy as I got disoriented in the woods at night on my own. Actually bumped into people in the woods who gave me a pointer back! weird seeing people out there at night.

Hehe, I must remember that - I'm not lost, I just don't know where [my destination] is, so technically, it's my destination that's lost. Not just a good joke, it could be vital in helping us stay calm and focusing on the environment, whether that's to find clues about the way or assess decisions like an emergency overnighter.

A place where a boy becomes a man. A lot of memories. Confused, I thought you lived on the Wirrel?

No, from Skelmersdale originally, but moved down this way years ago, just never lost the accent.

@@dogdadoutdoors Nor should you. I have lots of mates from Merseyside area and full on Scousers, you know where you are with right folk. I was born a Southerner but I've been a Northerner for over 35 years now. Loving life in the Forest of Bowland.
