This has to be a re-pop of the old ESCI Starfighter kit, the cockpit gives it away! It builds up fairly well and Italeri has much nicer decals then the original boxing.
Who doesn't love the starfighter? A beautiful model produced using some very imaginative airbrushing. But, no filler for the wing roots, canopy and intakes? C'mon...
TONERO Tonero you can never build too many Starfighters. I still have the Hasegawa and Kinetic in my stash. The new 1/32 from Italeri does look tempting. 🤔
Thank you for the video, this kit by Italeri is the next in my list, and I was asking myself what quality it could be. It seems good, but not excellent. Your job is excellent instead. The proposed bare metal version is intriguing, but the SEA camo is spectacular. I have a question: was the sandpaper and putty phase heavy? I see some large gaps during assembly.
Thank you for your kind words. I do agree the bare metal version is intriguing. I chose the SEA camp over the bare metal simply because you don’t always see the Starfighter in the camo since they only did limited action in Vietnam. The fit was okay I guess. Not that much putty and sanding was needed. Happy modelling!
I’d say 3:1 ratio is a good place to start. 3 parts base + 1 part white. Then you sort of adjust from there depending on how weathered you want your model to look.
Nice build, but the main landing gear as represented by Italeri is highly inacurate. and on the ground without someoe in the cockpit the F104 brakes are always closed , Hasegawa representation of the F104G are more accurate in general specialy in regard of the main landing gear.

Great result from a pretty iffy kit. The forward fuselage and tanks are much too slender. Your beautiful camo hides the defects very well.
Excelente trabajo, tengo un f104 guardado desde hace años, después de ver el resultado, ahora tengo el ánimo de armarlo
Awesome 104, great job..
Thanks buddy 🤙🏻
amazing look ... amazing repaint
Very nice Zipper!
Very nice work, happy to be your 100th sub 👍
Thanks buddy. More videos coming soon. 🤘🏻
That's a really nice F-104. Nice job on the camo. Subscribed!

Thank you for your kind words
Great build mate love the Nam cammo on it!
Thanks buddy 🤙🏻
Very nice build 👍 Subscribed.
Thanks buddy. Likewise. 👍🏻
Well done, finish build is very nice!
Thank you!
今まさに、これを組み立て終わってます。ちなみに、塗装は西ドイツ空軍Ver.にしようかな、と思っています。なお、先端部のピトー管は、真鍮線に置き換えました。
This one looks pretty much like the one I built from ESCII back in the 80's.
Thats because it is the esci kit hehe. Just build an old esci kit a few months back.
@@SuperBommer1 I dug it out of the attic 3 months ago !!!
Old but gold!
@@Boxplanes i am drooling in front of the new 1/32 kit from italeri. I still have the Hasegawa one to complete though.

Great build! What's the model of the small brush used to pain the seat and cockpit elements?

Looks fantastic mate! Subbed!👍
Jan Timmer thanks buddy!
@@Boxplanes just wondering: are you Dutch?
No sir. I’m Malaysian.
Great build mate, just wondering when you say add white color to base color , what sort of ratio you use? Cheers

@@Boxplanes thanks bud... will give it a go...absolutely loved the final look and nam camo...
