Tania, I love your aesthetic. Your top 5 shadows are great suggestions, as they have versatility that easily goes from day to night. I find the top x products in each category more useful than considering only the last year. I always want to know what is the best of the best regardless of the year. ❤
One question: do we need to set the cream shadow from DM palette ? It will crease? For example can I put the cream shadow all over the lid + a sparkling topper on top? Or even nothing on top...?
I don’t set the creams. They’re not super wet so I don’t find them creasing

I have a number of these and also love them. I’ve been really enjoying the Huda Pretty Grunge. I also have tropical dusk and you’re right, they are just such wearable and easy shadows. I really like the I need a nude but haven’t reached for it too much yet! I have no good reason for that. My top palette of the year? I think I have to give it to Byredo! The Remembrance Palette is just stunning. It’s got some versatility, all the textures are done beautifully and although it was expensive it’s kind of like having several Tom Ford Quads. It’s very new but the Chanel Holiday Palette is 👌Two oldies but goodies I picked up this year and have absolutely loved is a custom Surratt palate with some shadows from beyond beige and TF Suspicion. In the budget category-Julia’s Place the Taupes is amazing. The performance is fabulous. My most used palette that was still love in 2023 but I picked up in 2022 was the ABH Nouveau palette.
My favorites are all old palettes. Tarte clay play volume 1 (everyday mattes and I love the scent!). ND glam for smoky dramatic looks. ND brown green because it is just amazing with cool tones, warm tones and gorgeous green shades. Pat McGrath divine rose for intense glittery fancy looks. ND retro is an honorable mention.
I agree with you on the I need a nude palette!! That is also my fave. I actually really like the xenon palette because I don’t have anything like that in my collection. I need to try to ysl palettes! ❤

I hope that DM makes a Groundwork 2 with more color because I love the texture so very much and would love blush and lip shades! I love the YSL but my number one is the Cle de Peau and I highly recommend you make the plunge (with 15% off). Also, I would add you as my top new-to-me influencer! You are a joy to watch!
That Nars palette was released in spring 2023. It’s definitely in the top 5 of the year for me but I do love tropical and forbidden pink from Tom Ford as well :)

Great pics! I caved Black Friday and bought the Cle de Peau quad in Seagrass. I have to admit I absolutely love it and want to try other shades now 😬 It’s pricy but I feel it’s worth it for my slightly mature lids,…this is the first time a shimmer actually looks smooth on my eyelids! The colors are probably more subtle than the YSL, but the formula is so beautiful, and the primer really makes it last all day and also acts as a topper. Just throwing it out there 😉

I like neutral "boring" shadows most of the time too. I splurged on my birthday this year and bought a Chanel quad Tisse Rivoli 226. It's not a new release but the colors were what sold me. The texture is so light and it can go from subtle to dramatic depending on how you apply it. I'm not sorry I got it. The YSL Clutch palettes are very intriguing as well.
Have to agree, my number 1 is Groundwork and the ND I need a nude number 2! If all my palettes vanished one day (I have around 40) I would repurchase those 2 and wouldn`t need anything else lol.

I love the ysl and Tom Ford as well. I also picked up the My Dream palette this year and a couple e Tom Ford palettes (hazy sensuality and forbidden pink) and I’m really enjoying those too. 😊
The end of year releases came in strong for me as well. Pretty Grunge, Groundwork, I need a Nude & Mini Starlette.
I’ve got to get my hands on the YSL quads, I forgot about them until recently when everyone’s best of videos. I just like my neutrals, maybe I’m just boring as well. Peachy, or burgundy/maroons is about as colorful as I get these days.
My skin tone is medium slightly tan and the Natasha Denona I need a nude doesn't show up on my skin tone at all, its extremely ashy and dusty. I consider myself on the lighter side so the fact that it doesn't show up on me is really sad......

I really am interested in that Danessa Myricks palette but I’m afraid I would only use 2 colors. I’m totally on the fence.
My top two are the YSL in 200 (I’m a sucker for a terracotta) and ND I Need a Nude. I’m tempted by the Danessa Myricks and/or Patrick Ta, but I feel like my viseart palettes cover those bases ,so I am trying to resist… at least for the time being. Would love to see a top three in every category!

I have two of your favorites. I definitely want the groundwork. I’ll wait for another sale. Danessa Myricks is a innovative genius. I love more neutral shades as well. I have to be honest with myself. The only colorful palette I have is the nomads ghost town (muted cool tone colors) and the mini viseart brights palettes just in case I’m feeling a certain way(rare) thank you. Looking forward to your top foundations and singles.

Nars eyeshadow palettes are all the same. They are not just boring but repetitive.
I only have one, so I’m enjoying it a lot! But I saw this last release and it looked similar.
