Yay! Pretty Grunge is one of my top two palettes of the year! I accidentally dropped it and immediately ordered a replacement because this is the palette I reach for the most, I just love it so much. I feel like it didn't get enough love this year because of the timing of when it was released.

I absolutely loved watching this video. This was the highlight of my day. Thank you! And I would love to see another tutorial with Natasha Denona's Yucca palette. I don't have that one, but I think it's gorgeous. Like you, I LOVE the color story. That might be my next palette purchase. And it's different from my other palettes, which are all basically neutral palettes. I'm a neutral girlie! But I love them all!❤😊

Angela, given your love of pukey greens, would you consider a round up of palettes that feature these sorts of colours? I watch Jen Phelps and she compared Stone and Rocks with Yucca. Almost the same! I'd love to see more palettes, as it is my jam too.

Pretty Grunge was my first Huda Beauty purchase this year. Seems I waited for the best from the brand. I truly have nothing like a number of the shades in the palette. I wore a look with that unique purple shimmer on NY eve -- you know the one. No regrets that I sprung for this one.

Great video Happy New Year! Regarding Haus Labs, I have a copper highlighter I love, so I tried a couple of other items in the line. The quality was so horrible, I threw them in the garbage (I should’ve returned them). I expect more consistent quality for their brand and price. I need eyeshadow palettes like I need a hole in my head, but bought a few Sigma palettes. I’m using and enjoying them (especially Beauty and the Beast and your palette.) 👍🏻
I feel like Haus Labs is a bit hit and miss for me! Still haven't tried their foundation or concealer that everyone was talking about

Ok, I have been wanting the Huda Pretty Grunge pallette and now I have to get it ASAP! The What’s Up Beauty and Patrick Ta palettes are on my list now too. Can you do a tutorial with the Danessa Myrick’s Lightwork 5 palette? That palette looks so pretty, but I need ideas on looks to do with it. I’m sure you would create so many beautiful looks with it. ❤️

I bought the Natasha Dream and Retro palette after seeing the amazing looks you did with them! Then in November came Hudas Pretty Grunge palette and that was totally just crazy good! I loved that you ranked these palettes. Of course your palette comes in number one! I got the Danessa Myricks Lighthouseworks V palette for Christmas. Have you ever tried these gorgeous duo and multi chrome shades? They’re fabulous but you need to use another palette if you want mattes. (I do, and blended it with a couple of the neutral mattes from your palette for a NYE look). I’d love to see a video by you with one of DM’s palettes blended with your matte shades. Happy New Year!
I saw that Lightwork palette but something about the layout I hate lol. But I have heard great things about the formula! Happy New Year :)
I used the Pretty Grunge Palette once and I returned it. It looked like dirt on my eyes and I’m good at blending eyeshadow. I just love color and inde brands. But those dark dirt colors are me look sick.💜🌈💜
I had no idea Pretty Grunge was your favorite. I was disappointed I really wanted to love it. I think I just got so used brighter colors that’s why I didn’t like it.
My top 3 this year are your Sigma collab, the Oden’s Eye Jewels & Gem, and the ND Yucca. My eye color is brown, almost black 😃

I have to say that your palette HAS to be my most used one of 2023. I would use multiple ones like the My Dream Palette and Sigma Ritzy, but yours is all inclusive and I take it whenever I travel. I have to say that you're the push I need to buy the Pretty Grunge. I"ve been on the fence between that and the I Need a Nude ND one, but I've never used a Huda formula, so this video sealed it. I absolutely love watching your tutorials and no bullshit reviews. Love from Renton, WA!

I love Huda’s Pretty Grunge, such good quality, fun colors and textures.
My two are morphe smoke and roses, don’t think it’s 23 palette but im in love with it and the trick or treat from Odens eye, ohh I have paired this with the S&R and my fave all time palette this year which is of course……….sigma & Angela Bright palette! Dah dum it’s ma go to everyday ❤

I just got Pretty Grunge as a Christmas surprise from my husband. I haven't had a chance to use it yet (we only did Christmas on Thursday due to waiting for family to arrive,) and now I'm sooo excited!

I'm so glad you did this video! I have been wondering what your rankings are! I think that Anastasia Fall Romance would be great on dark skin. Yay! Pretty Grunge is the last palette I bought! I so wanted to try the look you did for New Years, but I was too chicken! I did a “lite” version using Stoned Cold Fox and I was really happy with the look.
These ranking videos are pretty fun! I agree Fall Romance would definitely work better on deeper skin tones. Love that you kinda lightened up the look and made it your own :)
Hi Angela, I loved this video. I also watched your top palettes from last year and surprised not to see any Jeffree Star in either! I’d love to see a video on your ranking of favorite formulas, and curious to see where you rate Jeffree Star formula. I’m newer to makeup and am looking for good formulas to try. I have a few JSC palettes and love his formula, but would love some ideas of other good ones to try!
Your so right about how pricey the higher end palettes are I had bought the harmony palette by alter ego because it was a dupe of Natasha demona one brand I’ve always wanted to try And recently u sent me the Christmas odens eye palette that I had won I absolutely love it now I wish I could afford another one 💚💚❤️❤️
This was so much fun to watch! I love the Sydney Grace Blessed palette, I tried Adept for the first time with the Heather Austin palette, I got the ND My Dream and JP Coffee Shop palettes😍 I love them all! I just ordered the Odens Eye Stone & Rock and the Flora Story palettes after Christmas. So I can’t wait to try out their formula. 😊❤️💄

I haven’t tried a ton of new palettes but my top two are Pretty Grunge and I Need a Nude. I love I Need a Nude so much I went back and forth on Pretty Grunge but your videos inspired me so I got it and I am so happy I did. Love your videos!!!
The farther in I got the more I wondered where Pretty Grunge was! I will have to get that palette, you've made so many gorgeous looks with it.
I only bought one palette in 2023, the Sigma New Mod (which came out in 2022). I love it and it's probably my most used!

I love I Need a Nude Palette. I haven’t tried Pretty Grunge yet but I love Huda Beauty eyeshadow. Rose Quartz is one of my all time favorite palettes.
Honestly, you won’t get good duo and multichromes unless you get them from indie brands. Devinah is having a sale if anyone’s curious.

I love this video, so much fun! Everyone else's year end rankings are at least an hour 😂 I can't choose a fav! My top three are all special for different reasons. They're the ones I use the most. Huda's Pretty Grunge, Sigma's Blueberry Parfait and the Angela Bright palette! I purchased ALL my palettes this year! Too many! 🥴 But not all them came out in 2023. I want that Dragon one! I need Beauty and the Beast too! I didn't think I did, but it's done so good in the rankings.

I almost didn’t put that your palette was my favorite this year, just because I didn’t want to be “that” person 😂, BUT I have reached for it sooo many times since I got it. Honestly, it’s just big time user friendly & wearable. Beauty & The Beast is great too! I just added Alice in Wonderland to my collection a couple of months ago & am pleasantly surprised at how often I’ve used it. (Yours & Enchanted are my all time Sigma favs!)

In the UK if we have even opened a product we are not entitled to return it. Personally I’ve ended up buying multiple foundations off the back of the advice from the staff. Come to trying it on and I m either orange, pale or super pink.
if you want a good duo and multichrome heavy palette take a gander at the What's up Dragon's eye palette it is beyond stunning

I dont have the pretty grunge one yet. I'm trying not to buy more pallets since I have sooo many sigma and ABH ones that need to be used. But by far right now my favorite pallet is yours. I use it all the time. It's so easy to use for me, and the colors compliment my skin tone. I love how your foundation came out today! Very pretty 😍. I would love to wear foundation but I don't want to use those shavers on my face to remove the slight fuzz by my ear/cheek area. Any ideas on if foundation can be worn regardless? I don't see many videos on this on RUclips that are good.

Second I have the electronic pink palette, I bought it when I had my Ipsy glam bag sub for $20 (a lot of money for a little palette in my opinion) so I'm kind of sad you didn't like it better, but I've been watching you for a while and I know pink isn't a color you tend to reach for a lot 🤷♀️

please don't judge Viseart by that "duochrome" palette!!! their mattes are truly where they are astounding. their shimmers can be quite beautiful as well. i use them in my pro kit and personally and will sing their praises any day!! hahahaha

@@angelaabrightthe Sigma palette range, even the quads are kind of the same idea as Viseart. The entendu Viseart palettes are pretty neutral and have more of a shimmer than metallic sheen to them. They don’t swatch well but they go on beautifully. The mattes are exceptionally fine.

I made the same mistake with the Glossier palette.
Your palette of course #1, Natasha Deonna I need a nude#2 not sure of #3 .To tired from my trip to Vegas. I don't gamble but waiting for our dinner reservations I put a dollar in a machine I never saw before played 50 cents a win $93.50 cents. I am still in shock. I cashed immediately and ran to my hubby he was in disbelief but I won.❤ Will send a pic of the ticket. Wow. Goodnight 🎉
Your experience with Viseart is similar to mine. People rave about their formula so I understand the appeal of their little palettes, they’re perfectly curated so they’re easy to reach for. I get it.
But I was so disappointed, especially considering their price. Mattes are okay but the shimmers are offensive if you like impactful metallics. They’re satins at best. Still, I gave it a try for a more subtle, classic look BUT the shadows creased less than 3 hours later and that has never happened to me before. I tried it two more times on different days with different eye primers and it creased again. I prefer Pat McGrath, Kaleidos, Oden’s Eye or Glaminatrix over Viseart any day and it’s a shame, because their palettes were so attractive to me.
I still need to try their matte formula! But yeah these shimmers/duochromes didn't wow me at all
I was disappointed by Jewel from Sigma. I expected to love it but the undertones were just all wrong. I love Earthy, Beachy and Electric Pink though.
The Beauty and the Beast palette is beautiful.
I decided to try the Sultry 9 pan that released and I've really enjoyed it. I regretted passing on the original so I went for it this time around after swatching it at Ulta. The shimmers are beautiful. I struggle a bit with the mattes though.
I also decided to try Juvias Place Nubian Earth palette after seeing it in store and swatching. The mattes really require building but once on... it's the 1st cool toned palette I've enjoyed. Particularly the mattes. The shimmers are gorgeous but require a little work too.
I really like the Huda Empowered palette but I am having an issue with it and really need some help.
I keep hoping someone will compare the Xenon palette shades to the Jeffree Star Cremated Palette shades but so far I haven't seen anyone do it.

I was hoping Haus improved the eyeshadow formula when they rebranded, but it sounds like it’s as bad as the first one was. The first one was so bad I gave it away to a friend’s son because he loves Lady Gaga. Based on how awful that formula was, I skipped these and I’m glad I did. They need to get it together if they want to compete with the amazing formulas other brands are putting out.

Honestly I like to buy most of my makeup at Sephora. I’m just not one of those drugstore influencers. I don’t keep up with new drugstore launches but I do buy a few things if they catch my eye

THIS was a great video! It was so fun watching you rank these. I cringed when your very worst palette was the Glossier 3 pan - I literally just bought that. It hasn't even arrived yet. I don't own any Glossier makeup and was like $10 away from getting something free, so I got this eyeshadow...pretty sure in Jute. Now I'm all bummed and not waiting for the package with anticipation. What a let down! I love that you chose Huda's Grunge palette - I got that and LOVE it. I don't have nearly the palettes or experience you have, but I have to disagree with the Altered Ego palettes. I really liked those. I got the Sakura based on your recommendation when you.made a video with it and it hasn't disappointed me. I'm glad to gave this list - now I know what to get and what to pass on. I just wish I had seen this 2 days earlier so I didn't get the Glossier one. Oh well. Oh - and if this had been my ranking I would have added those palettes I sent you over on IG. They have been gorgeous to work with! Some of the glitter has been challenging to work with, but I've learned a lot from it. This was still totally fun to watch - thanks for doing this. BTW, your makeup looks impeccable in this video.
