@@Boros777 it all depends on who you speak to, at which dealership. The salesman are human beings, they all have their own personality, preferences, skills, etc. You can walk into one dealership, talk to 3 different salespeople, and get 3 different experiences.
This is why treating the customer/client the way you'd wanna be treated is very important. The salesman that fails to do his job can destroy that brand loyalty that the client has, or stop it from happening in the first place. Very important to treat people with love and respect.
MaxSpeed Very true, just from my personal experience it seems like BMW has a higher standing in the US and the salespeople seem arrogant a bit more often...
@@Boros777 not sure if you are from the us, but you can walts into a chevy dealer and still be treated as less. On the flip side you can walk in to Rolls Royce with 0 intention of buying a car and they will still treat you nicely. Just depends on the individual you speak to :)

I got a ticket for 155 in a 55 in 2004. When I went to court the judge asked me how I got out of being deployed with everyone else. I told him I didn't, I just got back last week and was on my way home for leave. He told me to leave the courtroom and never come back, so I did.

If he got arrested he would loose any clearance he had and possibly dishonorable discharge. I know a few people who were kicked out for DUI and reckless operation.

@Onion Head Yes you will had a friend of mine on AD who was doing 40 over the speed limit. He got arrested and convicted of reckless operation third-degree misdemeanor as well as he was charged with vehicular assault which is a fourth degree felony. Spent 18 months in jail and was dishonorably discharged after his release. Know plenty who were kicked out after they go their DUIs, they lost their clearances and were dishonorably discharged. All depends really on JAG.

You know I love that BMW treated you like this and you speak about it. Maybe it convinces people to walk away from that brand as much as possible. The Dealerships are SO arrogant and useless that they ruin BMWs reputation and it SHOULD affect their sales figures.

Same thing happened to me when I first bought my last car, a 2014 Audi s6. I literally got pulled over on the way home from the dealership doing 140 in a 70. I explained how I literally owned the car for like a half hour so he was cool and lowered the ticket to 90.
What is up with terrible customer service in our country? No car is worth the wait if the dealer is treating you like crap. Plus BMW is the ultimate break down machine, haven’t seen any good bmws since the 90’s.

Oh man, as an El Pasoan, these issues with the dealers sounds pretty spot on, I knew those first photos looked like our Trans Mountain drive. The BMW dealership here makes a killing on all the guys trying to be real estate agents Cheers man!

Was window shopping at some vehicles at the Poe Toyota (I'm from El Paso too) and clearly stated I was not buying but looking. The salesmen there were so adamant on making me buy a car and offered to trade in my old Mazda, I straight up declined everything and drove away as fast as I could.
He obviously doesn’t belong to “Ticket Clinic”.
I can sort of relate. I had a run of bad luck and grabbed three speeding tickets in about 2 weeks. Put me at 6 points total over the last 2 years, but I traffic schooled one away, so only 5 on my record. 6th point here is a suspension, so I uninsured all the fun cars and relegated myself to a beater corolla for 12 months and never did over 5mph over the limit during that time... felt like I was dying a slow death as grandma's gave me the look while passing me.
Oh, man. I feel bad for you. After I took two traffic schools in three years I set that chime in my Tesla so it would beep every time I go +10 miles/hour. Now I at least can be informed that I’m going too close to getting a point on my DL and can make a decision (slow down or not).

It does. The Accord is the smart choice as an every day machine - low on maintenance, cheap to buy and with enough power to get you from A to B. Sure, the ZR1 is nice - Fun - a dream .. But it eventually kills you physically or financially. Better to spend the difference on something you can enjoy more.

In a time like this, it's cool to see a video of a cop being awesome just because he's a cool person. Nice of him to be so understanding, and honestly good on you for getting rid of the car in the end because of the temptation.
Cops are rarely jerks, unless you pull a gun on them. Now they can't even defend themselves from that.

Turning 27 and going from a ridiculously awesome to ridiculously sensible car is such an officer thing to do! I remember seeing my buddy and his new O2 buddies road tripping in his Prius, because their giant trucks go terrible gas mileage.
This story just took me back to 2005. I had just got home from Basic Training and AIT (15P), I was National Guard and late to my first drill weekend my FIRST morning formation. Got clocked doing 122 in a 35. Cop walks up to my window, (i guess he saw my uniform) said "soldier, where the hell are you going in such a hurry". I said "officer I'm SOOOO sorry, but I'm late to my first formation with my unit"... he sighed heavily, didnt even ask for my license and registration and escorted me the last 2 miles to base....
I got out of a ticket in Utah going south on I-15 after my 2nd deployment because the state trooper had just gotten out of the Marine Corps about a year beforehand, and KNEW my immediate supervisor. He said “I’m gonna call your Sgt. by close of business Monday, if he doesn’t already know this story before I start telling him, you’re gonna have a bench warrant in Utah on Tuesday.” He clocked me at 148 in a 70.
I was going to comment about you doing the "Boot" thing about blowing your money on a high end sports car, but the "I just got back from deployment" line killed me! Works like a charm every time! Thankfully I don't drive like that anymore 😂

The guy deserves 145mph ticket. No one made him go 145mph. He's very lucky that officer dropped it down to 99mph. He might not have much of a military career with a felony charge. I'm sure he was more than happy seeing he dropped it down to 99mph. Sure it might still be considered a reckless driving charge but he could have ended up being hand cuffed, spent a few nights in jail, car towed, and have a felony charge. I'll take the 99mph ticket all day long for being stupid.

Actually I did say that once, before I immediately crashed into the side of a bridge. Lesson learned. Drove like an old lady for years after that. Nobody was hurt, thank God. The worst part? It wasn’t even my car.

Reminds me of getting stopped for 90 in a 55 by a cop that legit tried to warn me before he had to stop me. Dead of night, like, 3AM, just haulin ass to get home because I'm tired. Car in oncoming flashes high beams at me. I flash back because my highs aren't on. They flash me again. Whatever man. As we pass my headlights catch aaaaaall the reflective markings down the side of the car and I immediately knew I was fucked. Watched rear view and before he's even turned around, I'm pulled over and parked. Told the officer the truth, was honest and as chill as I could be in the situation. "Do you know how fast I clocked you at?" "About 85, I'd guess?" "90, but close enough" Takes my information, and I sit there for what feels like an eternity. Comes back "Alright, I'm writing you up for a five over and a waivable failure to provide proof of insurance for this expired card. No need to drive that fast, alright? There's deer out and about. Drive safe."
Going from a ZL1 to an accord (specially if it was a 4-cyl) is like going from flying a F-16 down to a Cessna.. But I understand its not easy to control/discipline your self with all that power at your disposal, so I understand him going to an Accord.. Thank you as well for your service!

I just got a 2017 Camaro 2SS last week. It's an incredible platform. Used to have a Trans Am WS6 with an LS1. All I can say is, the LT1 is a torque monster compared to the LS1.
99 in a 65 is still a pretty serious ticket, I wouldn’t really say that’s getting out of it. Nice of him to cut you a break though.
What a nice officer. Although from my recollection 20 over is felony speeding and dont think any of our roads go above 75. However, everyone here goes at least 15 over. I now have a straight piped ex cop car. When I bought the car I got my license plate and giggled, the DMV guy asked me whats so funny but I said ahhh nothing. My license plate started with G and I havent been pulled over lmao. I also have a KOA-789 plate cover and a PHX motor wing sticker so that definitely helps.

As a car guy, who knows what is required to have a safe handling car at speed, I’m terrified at the idea my daughter will get in the car with some D bag who thinks he’s skilled but in reality knows nothing and has no skill, who is probably driving a crap box with all sorts of problems.
I've been pulled over many, many times in my driving career, and I've been cut breaks due to simply stopping and waiting on the cop. One cop literally thanked me for stopping and waiting, and another told me that there was no way he would have caught me if I didn't stop.

Past also you can easily use most of the power legally. Not the top speed but you can put all 650hp down in 1-2 gear

I bought a brand new '05 chevy cobalt sport and had an ECU issue that went thru lemon law then into arbitration for refund.
I was married at the time and it was a headache to both me and my wife.
I got out of a 21 over by saying I was on supervision and almost late for work and out of gas. Still got a ticket but it’s a village ticket for not having a front plate.

I live in S. AZ, its well known about the speed traps around Wilcox, AZ. I guess this guy has never seen video of the Gumball coming through there back in the early 2000's. A few people got arrested in that area.

Two words I said to a girl once was "hold on." Had just bought a modified AWD Talon. The driver side was in primer from body work. A 99(ish) Mercury Cougar pulls up next to me at the light and starts revving. I think he saw the primer and thought it was just another POS. I looked at my girl in the passenger side and just said "hold on." I watched the other light to time the launch, held the revs around 5k and ate that car alive. I probably only took it to 90 (after the light was open road), but he so far behind it wasn't even fair. My gf, just looked over and said "Okay, that's enough." and I slowed back to the speed limit and continued on to our destination.

I had the same issue as this guy...bought a BRAND NEW 2016 C7 z51 and proceeded to lose my license 3 times in 6 months for speeding. Ended up having to sell the car because my insurance went up to $1000 a month. Dont get a fast car as your first new car or unless you live close to a track where you can go crazy with it anytime you want.
