- Amaranthe is a Swedish/Danish power/melodic death metal band that originates from Sweden and Denmark. Formed by Jake E. Lundberg and Olof Morck, the project began taking shape when singers Elize Ryd and Andy Solvestrom signed on, as did drummer Morten Lowe. So far, the band has released on demo on their MySpace profile, titled "Leave Everything Behind". This 4-song demo was released in 2008.

@Rido29 i understand pretty well. Simply I can't think about a Death Metal with melodic part. this is for sure power metal, but not Death. Death Metal is the negation of the melody.

Funny! This polished poppy clubbish metal actually has a pretty catchy melody. I like them for a nonmusical genre/band.

Love this, but I just can't stand the screamo parts.
As death metal, it sucks. Badly
But as power metal, it's not half bad. Especially for Sonata or Stratovarius fans

I've always thought of this as English-language anime opening music; basically nonsense lyrics with heavy guitar and keys meant to pump you up for what's to come.
Nothing about this is death metal. There are no death metal vocals, just angsty metalcore shouting and overproduced clean vocals. There's also no actual death metal present in here, either.
Basically this is just really shitty power metal mixed with a lot of pop. If you like music like this, more power to you...but there's a lot more metal out there that's a helluva lot better.

its electronicore, metalcore with electronic music elements. if you compare this with regular metal you are not a musician but just a fanboy who like long hair and black clothes
