    Great video! I wish we had seen this before Wednesday. Out of all the days we chose to drive through we picked Wednesday!
    Yes it was closed to vehicles. But since it was an hour off our route to get there we took the horse carriage tour with our amazing tour guide Sal!!
    Sal went above and beyond to help us see a bear! Yes he was successful!!
    As he mentioned, usually he spots a bear due to his quiet nature of the carriage.
    As a native Floridan, I went to Tennessee to see bears and I was fully satisfied!
    Thanks Sal and Cades Cove for your wildlife reserve.
    Candy.
    Oh yes thank you also Sal for changing our flat tire on my sisters big truck!!

      Thank you so much and really appreciate you watching. Oh wow, a horse carriage ride around the area would be amazing. Sorry to hear about you getting there on Wed. But looks like you guys made the best out of it. I bet the River Rat River Tube place ends up with a lot of folks on Wed. Also since people discover they can’t drive through. We loved the area and can’t wait to go back ourselves. Any other questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Sandals are perfect to wear the bears prefer it. It makes you easier to catch 😱😂

    When I was a kid and we visited Pigeon Forge, we would spend a day in Cades Cove. We only saw bears a few times. There are so many good hiking trails around there. I’m glad your mission was a success!

      Yea, we got lucky to be able to see the bear. We skipped the hiking because we didn't want to get eaten by a bear.

    Well glad you got to see some beer! I've never thought any of those old structures or cemeteries or creepy to me they feel like home. Extremely peaceful. That biggest mountain you filmed is the mountain we hiked a while back to Gregory's bald on our backpacking trip.
    Also you rode right by the hidden Pearl harbor tree it was just like 50 yd off the side of the road past that first Baptist Church on your right.

    • @SantosChronicles
      @SantosChronicles  Месяц назад

      Holy cow, you guys don't mess around. Dang it, hiden pearl harbor sounds so cool. The whole pigeon forge/gatlinburg area just had so much to do - it was a bit overwhelming. But we had so much fun and can't wait to go back.

    Love the good rule of "thumb" . . . i think I will use the "Pinky" method! Janis and I loved visited old cemeteries of older towns, a lot of history in them, we would try to find family members.

      @SantosChronicles  Месяц назад

      LOL, I'm changing it to the Ron's Pinky Rule for myself! I like to visit cemeteries but try to do it quickly. I don't want want to see one of those stories.

    We love Cades Cove! Such a beautiful - and historic - area. I loved walking through all the historic churches and houses along the drive. Your recreation of the Eminem photo was amazing! Nailed it. And you saw bears!! Thanks for taking us back to Cades Cove!

      Glad we had to check it out before we headed home. So pretty. We were a wimp trying the trails or even the waterfall. Even though we were looking for Bears, we didn't want to run into one outside of our car. Such a beautiful area for sure.

  • @DMSAdventures
    @DMSAdventures Месяц назад +1

    Ya as outdoorsy as we are I think we'd still prefer to see bears from the comfort of our car and not while out on the trail! Mister said we can skip the cemeteries if we ever go there! Could've been your creepy music that did him in! Actually, he said the stories were SCARY! That's funny cause he loves looking at Halloween displays and animatronics in the stores. That cabin was super cool. Imagine living there when horsies were your main method of transportation. Out there all on your own! Super cool adventure!

      We did so many touristy things that we had to reserve that morning to do something outdoorsy (from our car of course). It's crazy because after we got home, we found out a bear got into one of the Anakeesta food places and then lunged at a worker. I was going to add some clips on those scary stories that I have heard, but decided not to so I can get the video out.

    A place to see bears? That's cool.. I saw a few in the wild back when we went camping lol.. they were huge.. but we kept our distance. Spooky church. Glad you guys got to see the bears in the end.. Carl, you're smart, film from the car hehe.. 🐻🧸

      It's not a zoo so it's drive and hope you see one. We got lucky seeing a few right outside of cades cove. I think we should have gotten there right at 6 am to have a better chance. The close up bear shots came from Melissa.

    Cades Cove looks beautiful, wow it's huge! A beautiful spot for an adventure. I will gladly stay 50 yards away from the wildlife haha. So amazing to get to see the different animals. Love seeing the old Methodist church! Very cool inside. And wow - haunted is even more fun haha. Beautiful views for sure! Wow, love those mountains! Wow a home from the 1840s! And still standing, very cool to see. It really does look like the Eminem album hahaha! Love your recreation! Aweee a mama and her babies! So cool you got to see that before you wrapped up. I would be in the car too LOL! What a neat place to visit!

Hha such a good quote, " If you're in a hurry, this is not for you!" No truer words have been spoken lol You could be Em's double! lol You were so close to the bears!
