    Hi, Steve! very cool video and thanks for quoting me ;). I did the idea and structure of these templates and i have in mind more ideas to be developed. Now is time of using them and produce beatiful and interesting artworks like you. I did not create the texture used in the templates bacause i wanted to use default resources and make more it more accesible. you can import patterns and use your own patterns too, In your case you can use the Digital atelier patterns and see the possibilities. Krita now is working in lot of things and yes, support is always welcome so thanks for promoting Krita. Imagine what could be done with more donations or sponsors. And Krita will be always free.
    If you have any doubt about the templates or you have new ideas or wishlist, let me know.

      Ramon, hello. I can't seem to get this granulation effect. Is there a secret to this? Great work btw, I don't use Krita but I will switch as soon as I am able to create this granulation effect. Krita is extraordinary.

      Hi Faizan, not really sure what you mean by document dialogue. There is a link in the description to a video that gives detailed instruction on how to set up the templates

    This does present an interesting problem. That is, brushes meant to give not only a watercolor effect but also to evoke traditional cold/hot press paper texture. Couple that with the canvas texture/patterning and I wonder how well the two really play together without creating a bunch of noise, if you will.

    Sorry. please tell me how to set textures as a template in Krita. So that you can choose when you create a new canvas. Thank you.

      Hi Nik, open the texture file, then save as a template. The texture will then appear in your templates when creating a new file

    Can Krita "simulate" or show that colors flow into each other and also flow down the canvas in watercolor? If so, how?

    Hi Steve, great channel! Love your work! I recently downloaded the "smart canvas", but I can't find any instructions on how to install them into Krita. You mentioned you installed them as templates. When I go to manage resources, I don't see anything for importing templates, etc. Can you please advise me on how you did it? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your terrific channel. All the very best....... John C.

    Beautiful work Steve. This is exactly what I needed. Been trying to get this granulation effect in Rebelle 5 and Painter, but it just can't be done. Any ideas? Thank you!

    Thanks for this Master! I really love the music in your channel - takes me to Sherlock Holmes days! A quick question - why do you prefer a flat brush than a round one, any specific reason since brushes being digital...I am trying to understand your choice. Also, with water colour brush the problem I encounter is that first patch that comes on the paper/canvas which I struggle to soften or liquify unlike traditional water colour medium.

    • @SteveElliottArt
      @SteveElliottArt  4 года назад +1

      Hi Sanys, thanks. Glad you like the music. I try to vary it for each video, so if your watching my vids back to back the music doesn’t get too repetitive. I think the flat brush is psychological as I use flat brushes a lot when I’m painting in traditional media. You vs an soften that first mark you make with the water brush

      @@SteveElliottArt thank you and keep making your very useful videos. Best wishes. Need someone like you with background from traditional mediums. Cheers
