Thank you for so many great recipe ideas. I use buttermilk. It can be frozen in cubes in an ice tray for later use. Just take out what I need, and thaw. No throwing away unused buttermilk ever again!
I have been making biscuits very similar to yours for 35 years. I prefer buttermilk and I bake them in 8 inch cake pans. Biscuits like to be close to each other or the side of a 2 inch deep cake pan. You get a little more rise.
This recipe is very similar to the one I've been using since I came across it about a year ago. The only differences? The one I use also uses baking soda (not too much) and buttermilk vs the half and half. You can use that recipe to stuff your biscuits with homemade gravy (that recipe is yum, lol), make them as singles or do both. I never knew how easy it was to make biscuits and gravy from scratch. Once I made them I couldn't stop, lol. Sure, buying from takeout or premade is much easier but those biscuits are better than KFC's and the gravy? 😋
These biscuits are fantastic! I made my own biscuits for years and was never quite satisfied. So I made these biscuits the first time about six weeks ago and as we were eating and enjoying these outrageously wonderful biscuits, I told my husband I was using this recipe. He asked me where my recipe was and I told him it didn’t matter. Thank you for posting!
Ooooh, biscuits! They are seriously so good! You used them on your chicken pot pie casserole and your tiramisu cake, and that's even more mouth-watering. This reminds me of pocky sticks, a Japanese snack. I'm pretty sure you used an impressive technique to make them melt in your mouth. You are just amazing. I can't believe I'm with a professional. You literally brought me profound moments for the fall. Your cookbook has lots of great recipes like that. My mouth always waters when I glance through the pages. Good job, as always. P.S. stay tuned for a friend to say hi to
I made them with dinner for my husband and I and we loved them. I used buttermilk and added 2 teaspoon of sugar instead of one. They Were use a tad sweeter and still delicious. I love making your shrimp fettuccine and chicken Marsala. Thanks Natasha 🙏🏾!
I have tried to make biscuits several times and they have never been good. I tried your recipe using buttermilk and they were absolutely perfect!!!! Thank you Natasha!!!!!❤
I love your fast and easy recipes. Received your book yesterday, and loved that you included a bit of your life story. 🙂 Now I have to "devour" it by baking all that delicious food. Thank you. 😀
I need to find substitutions now, bc I’m newly diabetic type 2 and have to go on all carb diet strict so this stinks bc I always enjoyed your videos! I’ll still watch and support I just can’t eat any of it unless I find something that I can have. Love your videos, Natasha! Have a great week! 💜
When you mentioned strawberry, you reminded me of the strawberry biscuits from Popeyes. Speaking of which, I'm a bicycle courier for Uber Eats. My last customer was impressed at me for delivering her food on time, she not only gave me a tip but also one of the strawberry biscuits from her order. It was good but I'm definitely giving your recipe a try cause I want to do a classic fried chicken dinner.
The best biscuit recipe I ever made!! I’v made these several times now a they still never fail me!! It’s my go to recipe It’s amazing!! And my Mommy loves them too. Thank you so so much for this amazing recipe!! Love Brissa.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Your instructions are so precise and easy to follow! I can't stand the excessive talking with most food tutorials! You make it fun, and keep the mood light, but give all the info I need! Love your channel! New follower, new fan, and checking out your website now for more! ❤
Your biscuit recipe is sooo simple !!! I made these for my husband on Father’s Day, they were DELICIOUS! Extremely fluffy ! I paired it with homemade white sausage gravy !! You are my GO-TO for recipes !! I will definitely be getting your cook book.
I just finished telling a friend I'm done with making my own bread and biscuits that don't turn out as expected and then I saw this. They look so good I have to try yours. Thanks for sharing!
I've subscribed to a handful of helpful cooking channels over the past number of years, but noticed every time I come here my recipes seem to turn out better. Anymore, I always go here first. Thanks Natasha!
These biscuits were a hit on Thanksgiving, and it was my first time making biscuits!😅 This recipe is easy, fast and a great way to use half and half. Also, I love your cookbook.
I am of a certain age, and could not make delicious Biscuits. I went on a search for a tutorial to help me. I found yours I have made it twice now and I am so excited everyone loves them.. Thank you so much..
We like biscuits with butter and honey, sausage and gravy, anyway they come. I received your cookbook and can't wait to try some of the recipes. I did make the chicken pot pie and your pie crust, and it was heavenly. We ate every last bit of it. Love how you make cooking so much fun and delicious.
Thank you for another great recipe! Love how easily these are to make. We had them with sausage gravy for breakfast. Love your videos too. You are so fun to watch!
Don’t forget that 7th ingredient…love! Those look amazing and I have no doubt the taste matches the appearance. I know coworkers can’t leave Red Lobster without getting an order of biscuits to go. I’m not sure I understand the difference between a roll and a biscuit but biscuits seem to have more diversity. I just wish I knew the difference between stirring and whisking and the other things necessary to turn flour into a biscuit, but that’s why I still eat cereal. 😊 I watch your videos trying to learn but I’m on the Easy Bake Oven level and you’re writing cook books so I have a lot to learn! 😂
I absolutely love these Biscuits. I ate them as sliders. They are delicious. Do you know of any other type of flour to use with last carbs but taste just as good?
looks delicious !!! But I will need to buy those two kitchen tools to make this . Yesterday I made a cake chocolate and I scrap it ,so it was my first one baking it , hope will not scrap this yummy recipe !! Will buy your cookbook for sure
I followed the recipe exactly and these are the best biscuits ever. Very flaky and light. I thought finding aluminum free baking powder would be a problem but I found it at my local health food store. I will make these again!
I just made them and they came out great...but I didn't have that pastry blender so I grated my cold butter.. I put Chicken a la king 👑 over it (don't know who's recipe that was) but both came out great!!😁😊💪
Rather than cubing the butter and using a pastry blender, shred the very chilled butter using your coarsest box grater directly into the flour. Gently cover all the butter flakes with flour by hand. Then, squeeze the butter flakes between your thumb and forefinger until you have a coarse mixture. Then, proceed as Natasha directs. Those butter flakes, throughout the dough, create very soft, very flaky biscuits. You can briefly chill your fingers in a bowl of ice water as you squeeze the butter flakes in the flour.
Yum! I'm going to try this. Your recipes and instructions are easy to understand, and you make even complicated recipes seem like a breeze. Thank you so much for your amazing recipes. I'm really inspired, and I've tried the majority of them. I am waiting for more and more recipes from you! Could you please provide the link to the parchment sheets you use?
I don’t have an exact link for them, but you can purchase precut parchment sheets in different sizes from most local stores or online on Amazon, there are many options to choose from.
Really delicious with great recipe, Super! Natashas I really missed your videos for 3 days, Natashas😭 Have a nice day And I hope your entire book tour goes well 🎉❤
I have your new recipe book and it is absolutely wonderful on so many levels! I sat and spent the afternoon reading through it. Your heart comes through ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I have made so many of your recipes and plan to make more. I do have a request made some time ago. Could you some day have go at chicken cacciatore. Thank you Natasha with love from an 80 year old Canadian grandma! 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I used natashas recepie but use 12 oz of sourcream and 1/4 cup water mixed with sourcream and I place the buisciits together instead and they are delicious
Hello Coco thank you for the tip . The stores biscuits in a can are awful. I'm going to try your recipe. Does the sour cream has to be cold or at room temperature?
Hi! This recipe is written for a conventional oven on regular bake mode. I would say yes, they both should be heated but you may have to experiment with your oven.
I can't wait to give these a try, they look amazing, simple and easy to make! Thank you! I also saw you the GMA the other day a you looked great and seemed to have a lot of fun! Hope to see you again on GMA!
If all you have is whole milk, it works as well. Whole milk was all I had. Just pulled them out of the oven and I'm pretty impressed with the rise. Even when substituting whole milk!
Hi, Natasha. I'm from Sri Lanka. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for the amazing recipe. Can we make these with milk instead of using half and half here?
Sounds delicious ❤️ I want to say big thank you for your cookbook! Never had cookbook which would make me excited about 90% recipes (the only one I will probably not try is fish ones 🙈) it’s like the book just was made for me! ❤️❤️
Aaaw thank you! I hope you’ll love the recipes that you will try. I would love it if you could add a review on where you purchased the book. Those reviews help a ton!
Tammy from colored valley cooks taught me how to make biscuits on her video tutorials. I use the self-rising flour from white lily brand, baking soda (sift together) and she uses shortening but I prefer the palm alternative to make them a little healthier. I gradually knead in the buttermilk with pastry tool. After it looks like Natasha's dough I use the biscuit cutter and set the biscuits in a buttered cast iron skillet and I bake it for 20 minutes on 450. Of course I top it with butter like Natasha. You can serve these with literally anything. I like plain old butter and syrup❤ 🍪
Well, look who is back. Hope you had a great time. I was expecting something like Boston clam chowder (🤮) or Boston cream pie. I am really glad it will be biscuits. I like biscuits. Looks like I will be making sausage gravy this weekend. Just gotta wait to see if these biscuits get buttered or not.
These biscuits looks fluffy, airy and perfection !!!!! I can make these for tea time with a nice cup of iced royal red tea !!!!!!!!!! Can I use buttermilk to make biscuits too ?☕🍰🍮

I saw sharky on your hand spreading butter
I like them in a chicken pot pie. Wow, Natasha is an amazing cook
I was watching this and thinking "I'm sure she used these biscuits in another recipe!" 😄 I can't wait to try these!

Makes the bottoms slightly crunchy😊
