i can never understand why rouge doesn't get more praise, it's an amazing game, and was the last game to have that combat system that was just all too perfict (3, black flag, and rouge). Shey is also a very good protagonist, it's not even that hard to imagine someone like ezio or connor agreeing with him, he might have even gone back to the assassins if he had met connor... or he'd of died because connor is a unit.

I do like the ship combat in Rogue more than that in Black Flag (using the Morgan is a more fun than using the Jackdaw). I also like the location but mainly because I just like “Cold” more than “Hot”. The first two maybe just personal choices, but I also think there are a few gameplay improvements too. Like when ya use the whistle there is actually a ring around the character to help ya indicate who is able to actually hear ya (unlike in Black Flag where ya had to guess to whether or not they were too far). I also really like the grenade launcher and dart gun over just the blow tube. Lastly, the whole renovation system did help me make shit tons of credits during the play throughs. I just wish there was a new game plus feature that allows the player to do the game again but with the same weapons and Morgan upgrades. Also, it’s a bit of a side thing but I like how Shay is helping with the 7 Years War (like he’s actually a commander in the battlefront of the War and it is just really cool). I just wish that more people who played the game would try to lay off killing so many British soldiers after they become Templars (like, they are suppose to be your ally’s), but that isn’t too important in the long run though.
To be honest, Rogue was the first I ever played, then black flag, Brotherhood etc. But to this day, every time I play it, it gives me nostalgia and I love it!
This was my first main Assassin's Creed, imagine my absolute confusion about the present day and Lisboa. Also the way in how it doesn't spoil anything from the previous games but it teases you that for you it's a mistery unless you have played the rest of the games. This game is a great starter for any AC fan tbh.
I think Rouge was actually not too bad. It really did have a great story and beautifully connects the other games to each other. The most painful part in Rouge for me was having to kill Adewale because he had a good heart with what he went through but served under a corrupt brotherhood with Achillies.
I started playing it yesterday as my first assassin's creed game and I played it for 10 hours straight from how much I enjoyed it. I love how many ways you can kill people and it makes most fights feel different. After I finish it, I am going to try black flag because apparently it is similar
It makes sense why Achilles said no at first when Connor came to him, he either was tired of the life after Shay or maybe he was afraid that Connor would end up like Shay
AC rogue was the first ac game I played and I loved it, I don't really care if its a solid copy of black flag. Playing as templars was also a lot of fun
Many fans out there cryticise Shay's motif for betraying Assassins, but i think they done a good job portraying so. The whole reason was just a misunderstanding between Shay and Achilles. If Achilles explained to Shay what happened and how powerful the artifacts were, if he wasnt depressed after his sonvs death things would turn out different
Man I absolutely love this game ac3 is my hands down favorite but I love this setting and I love the way the controls feel and the way the game plays. I thoroughly enjoyed this story line a lot more than I think most people did I wish these new AC games hit like this but maybe it's just nostalgia of being a kid who knows
I loved Rogue I played it for hours when I first got it basically black flag but better in some ways but what hurt me the most in the game was the mission where you kill Adewale cause I loved him in black flag
Man I am playing AC games for the first time, barely making my way to start AC3 and your content really makes me look forward each and everyone of them.. Until origins of course xD
Assassin's Creed Rogue is definitely a game from this franchise I consider high on my list. Not only did it take the moral ambiguity of the Templars from Assassin's Creed 3 and further built upon it, but it also shed a light on the Assassins and revealed that they're not always the good guys like what we're led to believe. Sure, the overall goal of the Assassins may be more desirable, but that doesn't make all of the actions they take to reach that goal good, and this is superbly illustrated by the Colonial Brotherhood like Achilles, Chevalier, Hope, etc. Stuff like that makes the world of AC feel more believable, and I love that.
When I first found the theme before playing Rogue I imagined what Rogue could've been about and I wasn't wrong. I thought it will be sad and Shay will be someone left behind or smth like that. Unity is really far from this and Syndicate in gameplay.
I appreciate that they tried to bring back most of the old stuff from the exit trilogy I wish the kept brothels tho, it definitely fits Shay’s character
I loved AC Rogue from launch and found the plot, character and story very intriguing! Rogue kind of show you some of what Haytham tried to tell Connor about the difference between the Templars and the Assassins. I really like that this game shows that both sides are wrong and right. Both sides are trying to achieve in many ways the same goal, only that their approach, or way towards the goal, is very different.
Great game and great video! When Unity and Rogue came out I didn’t have a current console yet so I definitely had time to give Rogue the proper attention. Although 4 does have a better looking world, I have always liked the time period/location in Rogue. Be cool if there was some kind of follow up or conclusion to Shay’s story.
Although assassin's under Achilles in rogue did a lot of mistakes don't meet with their heroic style as Ezio But the Templars still the eternal villains
I am a major assassin‘s creed fan. I always choose the assassin’s over the Templars any day, but I didn’t really like rogue that much because I didn’t want to see the perspective of a Templar that was the former assassin but after seeing it, I started liking it, because intern, it really shows your different perspectives on either the assassins or Templars yet neither side is good or bad, but I know like rogue an amazing game incisors much I haven’t seen yet
I remember just not having many problems with unity. I loved it from the start, even with some annoying bugs. So for that reason i only started playing rogue a couple months later. I loved rogue just as much. 2014 might have been the best year ac has had.
tbh, i have been playing rogue recently, and i don't understand why people hate it so much, the game is fun and has a very interesting story, playing as an ex assassin that turned templar showing there are no true good guys was an awesome concept and it was well executed
I would like to see what do you think about an AC game with karma system similiar to Dishonored with Arno as the protagonist and depending on your karma Connor/Shay will be your final target.
With knowledge of assassin stealth, Shay would also know how to counter it. It makes sense for him to easily be able to scout out assassins hiding in the bushes. Edit: Like Hope's last words to Shay, Rogue had so much potential.
I love rogue it’s my top three, the setting worked better for parkour than ac4, the stalker system was amazing raiding gang hideouts was so strategic and fun and seeing Shay change as a character and be able to see the Templars perspective in a better way than what ac3 presented us with made me love the game so much to the point where I can just hop on ac rogue one day and free roam the map and have fun

The templar side was done so well in AC3, i actually never really thought i wasnt playing as an Assassin when i played as Haytham. I noticed that something was off for sure, no mentions of the order at all, just some talk of "building an organisation" or something along those lines but I thought well maybe they call it that because its all fresh in America. I havent played much further as connor because it kinda got boring then but I#d really have loved to keep playing as Haytham, hes such a great character and its a shame we didnt get to see more of him except as a villain of course. This ship scene was epic as hell and i loved his personality and implied intelligence so much, but when the bad stuff started happening they probably thought people wouldnt like to do that in a game and switched back to being an assassin i guess. We should really have a game where we can run around doing really bad stuff GTA like and then dealing with the consequences (a bit like Odyssey, but better-crafted), being hunted, not being able to buy stuff or walk around freely because people know your face or something like that, so people wont just mass murder everyone but stay focussed on certain tasks or targets (unlike in Odyssey where you can just pay off the bounty hunters or whatever theyre called and be done with it instead of everyone being more afraid of you since youre rich and trained in combat so nobody can get do you).

AC Unity should be been delayed to 2015 instead of getting Syndicate
Those assassin interception missions used to scare the crap outta me hearing those whispers, knowing I was being hunted
The number one reason I was more hyped for this than Unity was more Haytham.
Seeing him next to you on the ship in the first trailer was all I needed.
I'm actually looking forward for another Templar game but with completely different mechanics that shows how they operate in the world with a story centered around the Order's views on society. That in my opinion would be a nice change of pace from what we usually get from AC.
I’m playing the remaster for the first time in like 7 years and I’m honestly having so much fun, especially with how much I thought people clowned on it, it’s such a fun and familiar experience
He is the most complex Assassin. This was the first AC game I played and I saw my brother looking at AC Unity and back at Rogue. I told him to get Rogue because my friend played both and hated Unity.
Finally someone who gave rogue a chance, honestly I love it and guess what i intend buying it on 2022
Honestly one of my more favourite games due to the change of perspective, Makes you see that templars vs assassins there's not really a "good" side, Just depends on which side you are seeing through their eyes..
Just started watching the video and noticed you said the same
Honestly would love a rogue 2, It's a spinoff yes but it's just a change of perspective & It's much better than the ah.. *You know what*
@@rrjthrjetu854 If it would be exist, it is better for Ubi to give a story about how Templar grows bigger in modern times. Visiting how Abstergo was built throughout history would be something interesting.
@@alamo134 an modern day assassins creed game I've always thought would be interesting, Imagine climbing one of the skyscrapers in practically every city! Or using proper guns while still having a hidden blade.. It would be very interesting and a real change of pace lol
Bro i have Amd r5 m330
I7 6500u
16gb ddr3 ram
What settings will i be able run ac 2 and ac revalations at?
When i launched the game for the first time and heard the main theme... i knew it's gonna be an awesome adventure.
I even take some time to enjoy the main theme before starting the game.
Sir Dovak I remember changing my controlls to my old AC4 controlls and hearing the theme. It's like Ezip's Family, but it belongs to Shay
I started playing AC Rogue today lol
Have fun mate i started about a week ago and it's amazing
My piece of advice is to make sure you get lots of metal for your ship
But have funmate and enjoy your day
i can never understand why rouge doesn't get more praise, it's an amazing game, and was the last game to have that combat system that was just all too perfict (3, black flag, and rouge). Shey is also a very good protagonist, it's not even that hard to imagine someone like ezio or connor agreeing with him, he might have even gone back to the assassins if he had met connor... or he'd of died because connor is a unit.
Rogue was my entry into Assassins Creed and I was glued to it from beginning to end, great memories 🙌🏾
It's just good. I'm playing it now after knowing that in development of this game.... Rdr2 team (some members) also work before leaving ubisoft.
Dude I just Started playing AC rogue today
I love it and optimization is great for low end PC
And you made a video on it
Damn!!!!!!!!
yeah it has great optimization
ac black flag runs like shit on my pc
but rouge is just fine
@@somethingsomething2685 true....I installed AC black flag on my pc
Even in 800x400 res and lowest graphics it runs like shit
But AC rogue restored my faith in my PC
I played it with max graphics no lags
The soundtrack of this game though 😭😭
It did a lot of things right in my opinion
I got Rogue the year it released for Christmas and I had no idea it existed till that day. Love the game and none of my friends had heard of it either
I remember not having next gen at the time so I found out this game came out and grabbed it. One of my most favorite games to this day.
Just discovered this channel and I already love it 👍
2:50 the way you describe him actually reminds me of Revan from Star Wars lmao, looking forward to playing the game now a bit more ngl
Dude and its ost track is so good like probably my most favourite so far
I started playing it yesterday as my first assassin's creed game and I played it for 10 hours straight from how much I enjoyed it. I love how many ways you can kill people and it makes most fights feel different. After I finish it, I am going to try black flag because apparently it is similar
I especially like the little detail that is his haircut being called the rogue hairstyle irl
I recently played rogue and loved it. Shay is now one of my favourite ac character.
Your editing skills are significantly improving
Really enjoyed rogue alot, and it's still one of my fav AC games.
Man I am playing AC games for the first time, barely making my way to start AC3 and your content really makes me look forward each and everyone of them.. Until origins of course xD
Assassin‘s creed rogue was the first game I’ve ever played in the series and it is my favorite
The osts are the greatest in videogame history imo
You forgot about the soundtrack. The ezio's family colonial music with a Japanese flute in background. Man it gave me chills
I like underrated or overshadowed games because if you search far enough you'd find some hidden gems like AC Rogue, Overlord, etc
When I first found the theme before playing Rogue I imagined what Rogue could've been about and I wasn't wrong. I thought it will be sad and Shay will be someone left behind or smth like that. Unity is really far from this and Syndicate in gameplay.
Thanks man I really wanted your take on rogue, this was such an under-rated ac game
AC "I make my own luck" is an underrated gem
I appreciate that they tried to bring back most of the old stuff from the exit trilogy I wish the kept brothels tho, it definitely fits Shay’s character
I loved AC Rogue from launch and found the plot, character and story very intriguing!
Rogue kind of show you some of what Haytham tried to tell Connor about the difference between the Templars and the Assassins.
I really like that this game shows that both sides are wrong and right. Both sides are trying to achieve in many ways the same goal, only that their approach, or way towards the goal, is very different.
I love how we have to kill adawlae because we all love him but seeing him fight for a side that don’t if is good or bad is amazing
Although assassin's under Achilles in rogue did a lot of mistakes don't meet with their heroic style as Ezio
But the Templars still the eternal villains
Having to stay alerted for assassins made it interesting for me.
Rogue was one of my first ac games and i love it
I am a major assassin‘s creed fan.
I really love your content man
Keep it up
Bro does not miss with his AC opinions
On my opinion Rogue is God tier one of the best ❤ very good game
I remember just not having many problems with unity. I loved it from the start, even with some annoying bugs. So for that reason i only started playing rogue a couple months later. I loved rogue just as much. 2014 might have been the best year ac has had.
Finally someone who I can relate to.
tbh, i have been playing rogue recently, and i don't understand why people hate it so much, the game is fun and has a very interesting story, playing as an ex assassin that turned templar showing there are no true good guys was an awesome concept and it was well executed
I loved Rogue, it challenged everything we knew. For the past 6 games we saw Templars as evil without question left us wondering who was good or evil.
I would like to see what do you think about an AC game with karma system similiar to Dishonored with Arno as the protagonist and depending on your karma Connor/Shay will be your final target.
I love that you just keep ripping at new AC games. Especially Odyssey. We cannot forget Odyssey.
A series call Templar order and we could have all the games from the point of the templars
U could play as haytham or Idk some new Templar character
2:42 Assassin Mentor, please don't forget what was the first mission of Edward Kenway
Well it didn't feel that wrong killing an assassinos
I felt the same way, killing the assassins didn't feel comfortable to me. But it felt good after while 😢
It did not felt good, but it felt understandable why Shay is doing that...he was saving the world from Assassins who though that theyre saving the world. And I love that "mindset"
@@punkimet5934 yeah it just I wonder why shay didn't do it on his own and take over the Brotherhood like ALTAÏR did and show them the proper way instead murdering them all, Achilles understood at the end and so did Liam. Oh well
@@triton5336 Well, he was young and not that skilled. He needed some support like : financial, psyhical, physical etc.
Altaïr Ibn-LaʼAhad was strong already and wise and etc. you know where Iam going. And he was supported from the beggining by the rebels and had respect of brotherhood
Shay betreyed them and they did not believed him and he had no Assasins as friends...so what should he do? Walk right into theyrs homes and say "Hey homies I know that I took your book but, youre doing it wrong, trust me" he could have done that and they would kill him or lough him off af. He had no other joice than just join the templars and stop what he believed that is good
@@punkimet5934 YEAH, but a modern spin on Altaïrs story of Rebellion would have been cool but a templar one is probably better.
@@triton5336 YEAH
Ac rogue is my favorite ac game. I don't understand why more people didn't give it a chance. Everything about it was perfect. Also thank god that they didn't put that many collectibles as they did in black flag.
Rogue music is the best on the franchise
Rogue is the only old time AC I haven't played. Kinda skipped it and went from 4 to Unity. But this video is making me consider it
I still love AC Rogue to this day
I love Rogue it real has a special place in my heart, my only problem with the game is that it’s too short
