It makes me mad because so many people don’t like her. She’s truly a vital character. She tried her best not to get in the way of John and Sherlock. She knew that it was important that they stayed together. She was an amazing wife to John and an incredible friend to Sherlock. She will be missed. I’m sad that she died. I do ship johnlock, but Mary was good for John.
Ah yes, the amazing wife that shot the main character in the chest after she saw what his death had done to her husband beforehand. Sherlock flatlined. Btw she also convinced Sherlock to kill himself in s4, which is fine and dandy. Don’t get me wrong,I love her character too, but I don’t think she was a particularly ‘good’ wife, or even person..... so I get why people would dislike her for that reason
@@rachelmcgahey6302 I agree, even tho I like her as a character I probably wouldn't like her as a person, and I think her actions would give everyone a reason to dislike her. She wasn't a villain, but she definitely was no hero either.
As an ultimate JohnLock shipper, I love Mary from the bottom of my heart. She's beautiful and clever and such an interesting person. Her past haunted her and yet she still can find a way out. She could turn to a monster but love and the friendship between her and Sherlock keep her being a human. Don't understand and still don't care whatever people said about Mary. I cried when she died and I would cry again if I rewatch the series.
She was really such an important character in the series. Gonna be honest that I’m scared too at first that she was gonna ruin the Sherlock and John chemistry but she turned out to be the perfect addition and such a complex and amazing character. Mary is really beautifully portrayed by Amanda.
I wasn't happy with it at first, but I ended up absolutely loving Mary's story arc. it was so intriguing, and she and John were perfect for each other 💔
@@jellyfishi_ i agree with you somewhat but at the same i think it showed how far she had come from her old life. She died saving a dear friend. I don’t think the old Mary (cant remember her actual name) would have done that.
@@Cassian2506 Neither Mary nor Sherlock are sociopaths. And it's stated by Steven Moffat in an interview a few years ago that the remark of the "high functioning sociopath" was never meant serious, only sarcastic. Noone can define himself about ASPD, even not Sherlock. Even specialists on this area have problems to recognize sociopathy on someone. And, by the way, I have never really believed in the whole sociopath crap, because it never was true. But when you think that a sociopath is someone who will always put the life of his friends above his own, who will do anything to protect them, in the worst case sacrifice himself, who will always stand on the side of the angels, because he want to punish the offenders of crimes and help the victims, then he is of course a "sociopath." But when you want to know who is a psychopath or sociopath then look at Moriarty and Eurus. Both are perfect examples for this very special kind of human being. Please think about that.
@@alderaan1931 I repeat for you: Eurus is a psychopath. You looked at their whole behavior, like she played with people, manipulate them, even her own brothers and John, let them went through a mental hell, killed coldblooded innocent people like Victor Trevor, the Governor's wife and the Garrideb brothers, fired up her parents house, killed almost John like she killed Victor as a child because she was obsessed with her brother and is it still today? Don't want to share him with anyone? Is this all normal behavior? In her own sick logic she thought: "When I don't have a best friend you also don't need one?" Even Mycroft said: "She was different from the beginning." Yes, she was always so alone, but had she ever asked herself, if her brother also felt alone after she took his best friend at such a cruel way away from him? It's her own guilt she is prisoned. And all what she needed was a hug from her brother and forgiveness for all she did to him? Of course Sherlock must forgave his sister, because he had to save John, and only through Eurus' help he could do it. He is much too good for the world. Noone should feel sorry for her, she also don't felt sorry for her victims. Eurus felt at no time either honest regret, compassion or guilt for the evil things she did, it was all "fun" for her, a bloody game. Yes, killing people don't make you a psychopath, because psychopaths are not made. They are born this way. I don't feel sorry for her. And don't tell me she is a good person. She clearly isn't. You will never know if her tears were real or simply a manipulation to make Sherlock forgive her. Please do your research about psychopathy like I did and think about what I said. Have a nice day.
What happened on Christmas, stays in Christmas. That was my least favourite scene in the whole series. "Liar" "I am dead" "ROSAMUND" "Miss me?" "Friend and enemy" "She wasn't supposed to be like that" John sitting in the wheelchair, not Sherlock Mary's face when she realizes it's John John's face when the light turns on "I will murder you while you sleep" Sherlock's eyes when he says "You chose her" like "It was supposed to be me!" "I'm sorry Sherlock" "Mary?" HIS FACE!
I played this video and I don't know how ...but from the other tab... reflection (Mulan) started playing ...and the blend of the music and this video was so mesmerizing ....
The problems of your past, are your business. The problems of your future, are my privilege. That's all I have to say, that's all I need to know. My heart ❤🥺
I dont know why but after finding margot robbie and samara weaving to be the 2 most beautiful women in the world since i first saw them on screen, I suddenly saw this actress and now she is at the top spot. I dont have BBC so can anybody recommend some of her other roles? Please 😍 haha
Sure, she really loved John, and redeemed herself for shooting Sherlock when she got in her way and got that bullet. But seriously ... she was intruding on the cases and disrupting the dynamics of my favorite pair. They didn't look happy with her there. Mary was nice, but glad she was gone. There is no room for a third person.
@@doublelightangel so you didn't follow the show right. Compare John and Sherlock's life before and after their marriage. They weren't as happy as they were.
@@sell8789 Exactly. Mary doesn't liked Sherlock. She mocked him by saying that he doesn't know about human nature, that he's very slow, she threatened him not to say a word to John who shot him, she drugged hiim and simply ran away without to care about him. She wanted to bring the boys apart, not together. She did nothing else than lying, from the beginning. And her advice on this DVD where she actually told Sherlock to kill himself to save John was actually her posthumous revenge on them. Sherlock would have really died, when he didn't watched the video together with Mrs Hudson. This literally saved his life.
@Christina Beyer It was John's self-loathing that almost cost Sherlock his life. He cheated on Mary via text messages. He fell into the trap that caught many young families. When young children come into the picture, romance takes a back seat. Some men can deal with that, others look at outside sources to flatter their ego. John looked to outside sources, and when Mary was killed, even though Sherlock had promised to keep her safe, he let his self resentment and bitterness be transferred onto Sherlock. That was obvious when he deliberately decided he wanted nothing to do with Sherlock. When he was backed into a corner again, having Sherlock in his life, he beat his badly. John turned his back on Sherlock long before Sherlock went after Culverton.
