Sorry to say that, but it was only a relationship on the same intellectual mutual level, may be respect and admiration, but never love.

You described it exactly. It seems to me that there will always be a lot of drama in their relationship. Whatever happened between them all these years after "Scandal" and before season 4, it must have been very dramatic. Even avoiding contact with Irene, Sherlock lives through this drama, constantly remembering her, trying to forget, but failing. It must be very hard for him to love her. Not only because of his principles, but also because of who she is. Irene is headstrong and cruel. She can break his heart and not even notice. But if she wasn't who she is, Sherlock wouldn't have fallen in love with her. I really like this moment.

Also i think later doesnt sherlock admit that he in fact does text her back & meet with her?
Sherlock/irene do end up with a son named nero in the books. Im hoping they are going to mention him…& the bees…& the REAL sherrinford, brother older than mycroft some day.

I'm Just A Girl But he did not said towards Eurus that Irene and he did it. He answered only with the counter question "Why do you ask?" It's only a speculation. May be or not. But of course was Sherlock attracted to Irene, but I think he was more impressed to her intellect and cleverness, than physically. He founds himself in her, but more at the mental level. She was equal to him.
May be that he played for this reason her theme.
And not forget, Sherlock composed the music already after Irene's "death" some time before he saved her life.

(lol imma be honest but don't judge me) So, I do Sherlock roleplay on instagram (it's actually really fun) and I roleplay as Irene Adler. But, it's really sad because EVERYONE in the roleplay community is 100% a Johnlock shipper. Lol so everyone just gets mad at me but hellooooo there is no proof of Johnlock but there are actual photoshoots that Moftiss had regarding Adlock like honey look it up :) But yeah it's really sad lmao
No judgment here... I used to roleplay as Irene Adler on Twitter last 2012... Adlock was big at the time so I got to flirt with a lot of Sherlocks but then TJLC happened... and I got attacked a lot.
@@OneAllysa lol i know right? there are alot of sherlock rp's on instagram but not ONE supports/ships adlock. they just pot edits of John and Sherlock kissing or something and it makes me really sad lmao :,)
Adlock's shippers are outsiders of the whole fandom (But Steven Moffat is on our side, and this is the main thing😅
