全ハガレンアニメの中で1番好きなED。
ハガレンの世界観を最も分かりやすく表現してると思う。
初期ハガレンの暗い感じ好き
The part where Eddie holds his hands out and the snowflakes don’t melt on his metal hand. My favorite part.
Man just called him Eddie Na bro that’s violation
And right after that we see alphonse and the snow doesn't melt on his body at all. Kind of symbolizes what ed thinks, his pain is nothing compared to his brother's and he feels responsible because he blames himself for what happened. Then he flips his hair and i think that part is supposed to show his determination and his will to keep moving forward to get their bodies back.

@@josquefoit’s also the fact that the more snow on Al is also from the fact Ed believes his pain isn’t as comparable to Al’s since he doesn’t have a body anymore
2023 and it still hurts this ending it just hits the heart in so many different ways. Can't believe its been 2 decades from the 1st FMA.

Its sad that there are people who skip 2003 because "It doesn't follow the manga" they miss out on a beautiful song like this and a wonderful story all on its own
I feel both series need to stop being compared to one another and be seen as a beautiful half of a whole

@@joncook7510 before this God like quality version surfaced when you searched for this ending there was a popular version where it skipped a second or two right when he was gonna flip his hair. Can’t find it anymore though lol.

エドが両手で雪をすくう。
片方は溶け、片方は結晶のまま。
機械となった右手と、自分の体温（温もり）が残っている左手。
そして次のシーンには、雪が溶けることなく積もり続ける体温も表情も失くしたアル。
歌は勿論、兄弟の哀しみと決意が見事に演出された名シーンだと、今観ても感動する。
yeah. when any of my friends tells me that they wanna watch the series i always recomend them to see the 2003 anime first, at least until episode 21 where you know what happens . Watching brotherhood is clear the creators intnended it for people who had already seen the 2003 anime and thats why so many things are so rushed at the beggining and it basically skips to the new content, Maes Hughes appears like twice and all of the Nina arc its a single episode so you dont even develop any emotion for the characters, theres no real Alchemist exams for the series named Full metal alchemist where Ed gets that title and some characters like Barry the chopper and Yoki aint even introduced, they just appear, so yeah.

i love how this ending theme would begin playing while the show was still going on and then it would cut to the visuals for the theme

I just never got into the opening and ending themes for Brotherhood the way I did with FMA 2003. The Brotherhood ones are cool, but 2003 just hits so good.
Same with the OST; Brotherhood definitely has a quality soundtrack, but 2003 tracks are all just iconic. Let's not even get started on "Brothers."

Unpopular opinion
This is my favorite FMA ending/opening ever.
Both from the original and Brotherhood. Most people like Again, Rain or Rewrite better, and those are definitely up there too, but this song (and also the visuals, especially the part showing Ed and Al in the snow) reminds me of when I was in high school in 2008, and FMA was one of the first anime I had ever watched. I wasn't even into anime back then, I had only watched DBZ and Digimon as a kid.
I recently re-watched Brotherhood and I'm considering re-watching the original too just because of the nostalgia.
It’s my favorite too - out of all of them. I think it captures the somber but hopeful tone of the story perfectly.
I think is a pretty popular opinion jajaj 🤭 I don't know anybody who doesn't love this song, it's amazing!

Unpopular opinion ? Personally, it's one of my favorites. I love the openings 1 and 4 and endings 1 and 2 for FMA and openings 4 and 5 and ending 4 for Brotherhood.

Tbh, this is probably my favorite ending theme in all of FMA. Brotherhood included. It never fails to give me chills.
Everytime I get a new mp3 player or started a new school semester the next day (even in my last year as an undergrad), I always played this. Something great & new however also sad & beautiful too.
