Installing Universal foot Pegs on the Sur Ron

- Hey guys! In this video I install wider foot pegs. My boots kept slipping off the pegs while riding so I decided it was time to do something about it.
Although these Foot Pegs look nice they were hard to install and needed modifications.
This may be my last upgrade besides changing tires.

4:46 they don't go all the way up, and if you force them, the little spring will be deformed and after it is way weaker, I leave it like this and cuted the extra length. 5:52 I PUT A HASTELLOY C22 TIG weld wire all arround here so it stays flat.
I have the same foot pegs and there's a way to make them work without a shim. You need to switch them, and the right side that looks good needs the mount flipped .
I will give it a try.

I have to make sure I use boots and long pants because I keep getting cut.
got the same pegs with the same damm springs! couldnt get the springs to fit in so i just ran the pegs without the springs! lol.. oh well.. it works.

Would you happen to have the measurements to your mud flap? The one that protects the rear shock.
Hi Jeff, it's about 12 inch by 5 inch round figure. Measured on the bike.

Confident that I can do it too. One day we can meet up at Kahuku when it reopens. I’m waiting on my new tapered head bearings to come in so I can upgrade what I have now. It’s already making a crunching clicking noise. I’m a little scared to do it, but ah..... shoots Brahdah. Catch you soon and thanks for the reply.

I have the same and i cant get the bolt through the spring.. any tips?

I had a very difficult time putting it in.
I had to do a lot of wiggling . Also had to stick something on the other side to help line it up.
I hope you get them installed soon, If not try and see if you could return them and purchase something better.
