Ah, just to clarify... We made another album called "Secret Gates", which was recorded in 1997, iirc. We did not make a new album in the recent years. The thing with Nephthys was a real great experience, as we were all really friends. For examlme Olli, the former singer on the first album.... and founder of the band,.... there was no singer fight, as someone may think. We both understood each other. I think that is pretty unique.
@@MindDoser That cassette was produced mainly for promotion only. We sent it to concert agencies, magazines and radio stations. And some were sold at concerts. I guess there were a few hundreds, maybe 200?
@@melissajade7717for me, as the singer, it was always like "dont listen to the lyrics while singing", cos it would bring me out of performance..... so on live stage I concentrated on the bass and the move of the song, while singing. The lyrics are too strong. But the more you train the easier it gets. You know, before you perform a song live or for a record for the first time you have trained it around 20 to 30 times. That helps a lot. Once I was asked to sing this song on a funeral. I couldnt do it, cos it would have touched me too much, even after 200 times singing it. 😎 And: The lyrics are from Oliver, the former singer. After me becoming the main singer Oliver put all control into my hands. Very cool move. I said, no, no change of the lyrics required. It's perfect and I can feel what you felt when writing. I got a similar experience. Of course, we had a deep talk what this is about. 😎

You could hear them pretty good on their attack. There're no hidden things. That sound is a fretless bass with flanger and reverb effects basically. Those nice slides are handmade.... thats why you need a fretless for it. 😎
