How about any gen with only a team of rt 1 pokemon. You can only use 1 of each so you can't have 6 of any 1. I think it would be most interesting in gen 2 because a sentrite and hoothoot only team would be super weierd
Please do an emerald run next with only a slugma , it would be close to impossible without double team And it also gets an terrible typing after evolution because hoenn is full of water types and ground attacks would just anhilate magcargo
Someone in the comments has suggested this many times but I would love to see Emerald with only a Macargo. It’s super slow and is 4x weak to water in a region with tons of water types to fight.
@@c.o7993 yeah, if you didn't know, pseudos categorically must be part of a three stage evolutionary line, have a BST of 600 when fully evolved, and be in the slow experience group. Milotic, being fully evolved as a first evolution, having a very respectable BST of 540 but is unfortunately quite shy of 600, and being in the erratic experience group, actually fits none of the categories. If you did know that, well...sorry for repeating it to you lol. There's also normally only one per region, other than Hoenn which has both Metagross and Salamence for whatever reason, for a total of 9. The others are Dragonite, Tyranitar, Garchomp, Hydreigon, Goodra, Kommo-o, and Dragapult. Though I agree that Milotic fits the vibe of a powerful, rare, majestic Pokemon that Psuedos fit, and applies to other Pokemon like Volcarona, Snorlax, Gyarados, Arcanine, and Flygon. I, unofficially, call them Pseudo Pseudo Legendaries lol.
I personally would’ve named Beautifly and Dustox as “Rose” and “Deville” referencing Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Beautifly being Rose as Mandy is pretty known for being, well, beautiful. Dustox being Deville since Sonya, especially as a heel, was quite a lot like a poison type Pokemon.
As a fan of Gen 5, I'll try to promote this challenge once more: Can you beat B2/W2 with only an “Assisted” Purrloin/Liepard? Rules: 1) Play on Black 2 or White 2. The challenge is considered completed after defeating the first round of Elite Four & Champion battles. It'd be nice if you manage to defeat other important post-game trainer battles as well, as a bonus. 2) You may only use a Purrloin for every battle in the game. Replace one of the starter choice with a Purrloin. (Alternatively, for this challenge, you may evolve this Purrloin into Liepard, so that you don't have to excessively grind for levels during late game.) You are free to bring any number and any variety of Pokemon in your party, but only the Purrloin/Liepard may fight for you in battles. 3) No item usage during battle (only held items are allowed). 4) Once Purrloin learns Assist on level 6 and you have access to catching wild Pokemon, you may only use Assist as your source of damaging move against the opponent. Your Purrloin/Liepard may use any other status moves it learns from level up or TMs, but none of them may be a directly damaging move*. *) Preferably, no spamming toxic/protect/double team, as this is a rather uninteresting strategy to overcome battles, and doesn't encourage team-moveset building for Assist usage. Addendum/Tips: - To make this less frustrating, you may choose to give yourself a PP Max in the beginning to max out the Assist PP.
Question: Are you allowed to swap what your other pokemon are/change their moves? If I remember correctly, assist is a move that uses a move from another pokemon in your party so if you were fighting against the normal gym, could you fill out your other pokemon with fighting moves then swap them after the gym or do you have to keep the pokemon you use the whole run?
Challenge Idea: Pokemon Emerald with Only One Snorunt It has low base stats and struggles against gyms 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, while also struggling against both team magma and aqua. It also has a hard time in the water areas and against Norman, Glacia, Wallace, and Steven. However, it has a wide movepool with water pulse, crunch, and shadow ball. It also has some nice gimmicks like hail + blizzard, double team, or headbutt flinches. Lastly, Snorunt gets good level up moves early like powder snow and bite at levels 1 and 10 respectively. Would be fun to see if it's possible, especially against Steven.
Maybe, the AI has a hidden "pity-program" that comes into action after trying and failing a certain number of times...I mean, the game is made for children, originally

One suggestion might be trying a Pokemon game (or Oblivion for that matter!) in a language you don't speak. I'm currently playing through gen 1 but in German, a language I only have a rudimentary understanding of and without looking online to remind myself of movesets, tm loadouts etc. I also implemented a "No take backs" rule where if I decided to replace/not replace a move by level up or tm, I couldn't just reload if I made a bad decision. So the next one is Skyrim. This should be fun. Repeat until smithing is high enough for you.
I use the transmute spell to turn iron ore into silver then silver to gold, then I duplicate the gold ingots and make rings, with about three hundred ingots i leveled my smithing to 60,(use the rings for enchanting and boom, op character)
Excited for the Skyrim Challenge curious what you mean be no magic though, like if that includes Shouts I'm not even sure if that's possible which honestly makes me even more excited to see what you do :)
It's really not a hard challenge I play a with a stealth character and all I need is light armor, a bow and daggers. If you have good enough smiting you don't need enchanted items. I hope he doesn't use potions at all to make things more interesting.
I have a suggestion: Gen 4 with only igglybuff, cleffa, and happiny (or gen 2 with only igglybuff and clefa). I chose this, because the lines the Pokémon are from are similar, pink things that get big. The typings are normal, normal fairy, fairy (or tripple normal in this case)
Look, I beat Emerald with a Dustox solo, without fainting. You've got this. Though it did take a considerable amount of grinding and luck to get past Roxanne. EDIT: And I did allow one item used per battle so I guess it's not entirely comparable, but still.
@@KieranDurand He won't have issues with Roxanne because beautifly has a strong special attack and learns absorb at level 10. Also dustox is lowkey tanky and learns confusion at level 10. I predict an easy win.

Pokemon fire red with only normal type moves. Use odor sleuth or foresight for ghost Pokemon. All tariners with rock and steel Pokemon are gonna be tough

Big League MDB: "you might have to remind me" Me having just watched the Pokemon x episode where you talk about baiting comments: You're not gonna trick me into commenting that easily.
An idea just hit me for Steven. Why not burn all of Dustox’s PP till you only got Silver Wind and (some of) Moonlight left. Then in the fight proper, spam Silver Wind to fish for omni boosts, use Moonlight as needed in between, and then Struggle like your life depends on it since the typeless, damage-neutral masochism is basically the only hope you got for consistently good damage.
You should try to do Pokémon white with one solosis I imagine this would be easy because of solosis’s high special attack star of 105 but it may be hard because of his base speed being 20 also make it big cell as a reference to your Pokémon fire red dragon ball z team training rom hack

@@juniorjedi2563 Just in battle. Partners outside of battle are basically the equivalent of hms in that game so you only cant use them in battle by skipping their turn manually
GEN3 holds a special place in my heart for this reason. Dust ox was the first Pokémon that I caught, and it was really starting to decline in usefulness ( I actually nearly took it off my team altogether after flannery,) but then I discovered that using protect was a shoo-in against norman’s slakings.
Skyrim with no magical equipment? Ouch. I use enchanting for basically all of my playthroughs. Mage, warrior, thief, boxer, captain America, anything. It's probably the most powerful skill in the game. More than even smithing.
Tactical analysis of the run. Almost as good as picking the Root fossil: 1/ For Flannery, you had protect on the Dustox. I'm not 100% of this, but you could try and predict the Overheats with Protect to drop its SpA. Granted, it has a White Herb, so would have to do it twice, but maybe it could make the Torkoal easier at lower levels. Also, when you got there with Toxic later, Toxic + Protect (+ Moonlight) stall is a viable way to rack up so damage (maybe with a Sitrus Berry). 1a/ Generally if you are going for Toxic stall, Protect is very useful. 2/ Aerial Ace of Beautifly seems like a no brainer. Would have helped against Kingdra also. 3/ Hidden Power test to see if anyone has Ground/Fire/Fighting? 4/ Both your bugs learn Shadow Ball, like you said. After getting the shell bell, the coverage is probably more valuable then morning sun on Chuck, although this is somewhat debatable. Good run! Keep up the good work!
That luck against Roxanne is what saved me in my Magnemite Only challenge against Wallace. Got just enough luck with only 3hp after I’ve only taken down Wailord which somehow got me to champion. Oh and my hundred attempts on Tate and Liza literally made me go insane. Somehow got past them but never really should have won.
Mah-Dry-Bread u should totally do some pokemon sword and shield challenges :D would love to see something like "Pokemon Shield: Using only an Orbeetle/Chewtle etc.". LoveloveLOVE ur content man, keep up the great work!! < 3
One thing I was wondering if you'd try was going for the hidden power TM from slateport and seeing what type it is. You can buy an unlimited amount of them, so you can replace the TM and add it back later if need be, and it has potential to be really good type coverage - either physical or special. Might be worth trying out in other runs :]

Reload, talk to the seller again (Make sure to see what they’re selling) and the invisible chest should be restocked.
Repeat until smithing is high enough for you.
I use the transmute spell to turn iron ore into silver then silver to gold, then I duplicate the gold ingots and make rings, with about three hundred ingots i leveled my smithing to 60,(use the rings for enchanting and boom, op character)
pokemon challenge: jessie and james. ekans and koffing (meowth didn't really fight in battles)
Do pokemon fire red with butfree and beedrill.
Excited for the Skyrim Challenge curious what you mean be no magic though, like if that includes Shouts I'm not even sure if that's possible which honestly makes me even more excited to see what you do :)
“Bow-chickada-bow-chickada-bow-chickada-bow-chicka BEST FRIENDS”
Not nearly enough half-hearted thumbs ups on this comment.
My man
Thank you for doing these pokemon challenges! Also, I've been enjoying the Age of Empires series. It takes me back to my high school days.
17:23 Considering I beat Skyrim with nothing but one handed axes and heavy armor the first time I played, yeah I think it is doable.
Nice.
It's really not a hard challenge I play a with a stealth character and all I need is light armor, a bow and daggers. If you have good enough smiting you don't need enchanted items. I hope he doesn't use potions at all to make things more interesting.
I guess that depends on what difficulty you‘re playing. Though my initial thoughts were „that doesn‘t sound hard or challenging at all“
He would honestly have a harder time using only magic
It baffles me to think you still have the patience to do these challenges but I love them a lot and keep doing the great work
Commenting for that sweet RUclips Algorithm! I wonder how this run will go...
These videos are great to listen to and watch in the background while shiny hunting, probably some of the best videos to watch
Love your videos man. I play your pokemon playthroughs all the time. Your voice is oddly soothing.
Look, I beat Emerald with a Dustox solo, without fainting. You've got this.
Though it did take a considerable amount of grinding and luck to get past Roxanne.
EDIT: And I did allow one item used per battle so I guess it's not entirely comparable, but still.
Oh my God, I *love* The Best Friends. Great names
Do gen 3 with only an dunsparce, I don't have a good reason, its just my favorite Pokemon :v
What about dunsparce in pokemon uranium because it has an evolution?
I know it might be very long to do, but I love shiny pokémon only runs. They're a blast to watch. Seeing other peoples' luck is always fun.
I’m expecting only Steven and the twins to be hard
Roxanne too because bug is week to rock
@@KieranDurand He won't have issues with Roxanne because beautifly has a strong special attack and learns absorb at level 10. Also dustox is lowkey tanky and learns confusion at level 10. I predict an easy win.
@kpd dog1 no beautifly learns absorb immediately
@@cliffjumpercc3261 Yes and it evolves from silcoon at level 10 lmao.
@@ty-hr7jg well yes cause it took 2 tries but no
I’m just very happy you actually had to rely on Dustox a lot this run. I’ve seen a lot of people try runs with Beautifly and Dustox, only to use mostly Beautifly because it was more powerful. Dustox is my fav regional Bug-type, next to Venipede and Sewaddle, so I’m glad it got its time to shine!
Pokemon Emerald with only one Luvdisc. It's painful if you don't use attract or double team.
Thank you so much for all videos you made. You are one of my absolutely best youtubers ever. :)
Jsi borec. Mám moc rád tvoji tvorbu.
Pokemon fire red with only normal type moves. Use odor sleuth or foresight for ghost Pokemon.
All tariners with rock and steel Pokemon are gonna be tough
I absolutely love these challenges!! Please don’t stop making them!!
Welcome back to the poor person chat
Haha, so true. :)
Automatic texting is hilarious. Two minutes in and Wurmple has already been both Worm Pole and Whirlpool 🤣
Your fossil records are getting kind of ancient
Get it
No?
I’m gonna leave
I get it. It ain't making me laugh, but I get it.
Make more eof these tag team challenges I really enjoy them
I really really want emerald with magcargo.... It's a fire and rock type and therefore have problems with the rock, fighting, flannerys numel and camerupt, winonas altaria, juan, all the water routes..... Glacia since she has water types, Stevens earthquake users and Wallaces entire team
You had that one! Try again thousands of times at level 100.
Big League MDB: "you might have to remind me"
Me having just watched the Pokemon x episode where you talk about baiting comments: You're not gonna trick me into commenting that easily.
You have already commented.
@@cingkrayz1959 Woosh
@@kylekinsey2624 I meant to parody the YOU ARE ALREADY DEAD meme.
It always stuns me how far you go for these challenges. You have an unparalleled determination my friend!
Idea for next week: Pokemon Sun with only Gumshoos. Just in honour of the chaos known as US elections.
MDB lives in canada
@@Unknown-yp2dt And I live in Ireland. Yet I can still feel the chaos from an entire sea away so I can imagine he can feel it 1 border away.
He's never played gen 7 and he said he wants to play through it casually first
@@aidanredding8058 He has played it before. He has a short playthrough on this channel from about a year ago of him playing Pokemon Sun. Not sure if it means he’s finished it but he has played it.
@@masterofchaos7282 Oh, well I think he wants to finish it. Or least do a gen 6 challenge first.
5:03 That's some serious cheese. If I were Roxanne, I'd be upset. She's a Pokemon school teacher! What do you say to a challenger who won through such a blatant & long string of lopsided luck? XD
6:38 Lol, nice AI, Maxie.
Good run! Good luck with next week's run!
I wonder if checking Hidden Power types would've helped here....
“Roxanne is a rock trainer”
Wow who knew
Another fun run. Great vid MDB
i feel like he spelled beautifly at 1:14 wrong so he could get comments correcting him.
They literally talked about this in pokemon X last week.

Steven really went as expected. Great run. I love team challenges.
Ledian HGSS
Paper Mario 64 no partners
Do you mean no partners in battle, or overall?
I have watched a lot of Stryder7x, and I don't think no partners in the overworld is possible because of the water room in Bowser's Castle. (Also: frame perfect inputs)
Can I beat "insert pokemon game here" with only fossil pokemon?
I'm so happy for the Trent and Chuck reference!!! Got to give the people what they want!
Nothing to say here just here for the RUclips Algorithm.
I love a man that can do a Pokémon Challenge with such grace.
Got to give the people what they want! 💛 I could never do this if I tried, Love your videos~💛
Where is Orange?
C'mon! You've got to give the people what they want!
Pokemon Challange :: Gen 3 with Butterfree or Beedrill ....
RUclips asked me what I thought of this video. So I told RUclips that it was truly life changing, never will I look at dustox the same.
Skyrim with no magical equipment? Ouch. I use enchanting for basically all of my playthroughs. Mage, warrior, thief, boxer, captain America, anything. It's probably the most powerful skill in the game. More than even smithing.
Here's a dumb challenge, Pokemon Ruby Emerald with only Seedot and Lotad?
Tactical analysis of the run. Almost as good as picking the Root fossil:
1/ For Flannery, you had protect on the Dustox.
Pokemon Emerald with only one snorunt.
I love the jabs for comments too! That's why I always have to. Aha. 😀 Always learn here too!
Watched!! 😀😀 liked!! 👍👍
Best friends reference for a tag team challenge. I approve... Unfortunately no room for fruit.
They must be BEST FRIENDS after fighting that long together =D
That luck against Roxanne is what saved me in my Magnemite Only challenge against Wallace. Got just enough luck with only 3hp after I’ve only taken down Wailord which somehow got me to champion.
Oh and my hundred attempts on Tate and Liza literally made me go insane. Somehow got past them but never really should have won.
Your Beautifly and Dustox complimented each other very well, it's almost like they could be Best Friends or something
When I saw Chuck I thought you were rolling with Billy & Chuck. But now I see they’re Best Friends. I like the way you think, MDB
Mah-Dry-Bread u should totally do some pokemon sword and shield challenges :D would love to see something like "Pokemon Shield: Using only an Orbeetle/Chewtle etc.". LoveloveLOVE ur content man, keep up the great work!! < 3
Chingling only run in Platinum would be a great one!!!
It's good to see Chuck and Trent and still best friends even in pokemon :)
