I think these are great tips. But please people get what you can afford, there is no reason to go bankrupt or not being able to pay your bills over some hair. I have seen people do it so it happens.
Just remember quality is not all about price. A lot of expensive hair can hold traits of lower priced hair and vice versa. Always do your research, go for known & reputable companies rather than pop up companies.
more expensive hair is not always better. I have spend hundreds on virgin hair that was horrible and I have bought hair on aliexpress that was gorgeous and amazing and lasted me over a year with maintenance. It depends what you are sent. I purchase from Westkiss Raw hair and Her Human Hair on aliexpress and the hair that I have received over the past yr or so has been beautiful, low maintenance and minimal shedding. All hair sheds but its the amount that counts when dealing with virgin hair. So I'm not paying ridiculous money just because I think if its more expensive its better because that is so not true.

Hey great topic. Definitely want to look for strings and oddly colored strands in your hair if you find either of these LOW QUALITY. High quality hair is going to have more of a natural curl not a straight out the box rollerset/barrel iron and spritz curl. The Jet BLACK hair is almost always a sure sign of low quality unless you're buying Chinese hair in which case refer to all other tell tell signs to determine.Lastly any hair with a waxy shine... If all the bundles look exactly the same it's usually low quality. Think as if you were cutting hair from different people everybody usually had different textures of hair when the curl pattern isn't uniform even a little unhealthy looking that's usually the best hair IMO

also the wefts tell alot about the quality of the hair as well. I just did a review on some aliexpress hair that the wefts were so poorly constructed. 😞
the level of shininess indicates if keratin has been added or not. Cheap Asian weaves are full of keratin (multi layers, keratin dipping ) . This is why when you wash the extensions the hair gets worst. If your weave is jet black then it has been dyed. Natural hair may seem black but up close you realize its just a very dark brown. Black is not a natural color. Always pic natural color when you purchase, even if you want to dye it and be blond. Your weave will last you longer if it's not already processed before you start processing it.. If you know what I mean.

I have 3 that are now natted up, the first one I bought is the worst and the ends are frizzy.. any tips on how to prevent the rest from getting like that?
You can't really do much with synthetic hair...it's best to invest in good quality wigs which are more expensive then synthetic or simply make or have a wig made
Synthetics are known to get very tangly & don't usually last more than 1month of you wear it everyday. I have a few synthetics that I bought over the summer bc I wanted to experiment with wigs & weaves since I haven't worn them before. I haven't bought any specific products for them but I guess a wig spray would help. Tbh, after I wash them with regular dish soap I soak them in fabric softener. It's just plastic fibers so I wouldn't waste my good shampoos & conditioners on them. If you want the wigs to last longer I would go ahead & take the plunge into human hair. I've had them since May & im just now about to start cutting the length off of a red one I have bc the ends don't look good anymore (I've worn it the most). Also store them back in the net & bag they came out of when you're not using them. The more the hair is free the more it will tangle. HTH!

Great Tips But I Buy 9A Grade Hair From The Beauty Supply and It Was $74 and Its Came With 3 lengths 16,18,20 they are amazing to sight and touch... they get to a very pleasing blonde color and i seen ppl spend $250 & Up on hair and soon as they bleach it the hair falls apart. So beauty supply bundles are great too just ask to touch the hair and if they say they can't allow u to touch it then go to another beauty supply that will it works im tellin you

I've purchased hair from Ali express once & the hair was ok. I could tell that it really was human hair bc a couple of bundles had lice 😱. Also the patterns weren't exactly identical to each other so I could tell it wasn't processed. Honestly most hair boutiques just buy in bulk from a place like that, repackage it, then hike up the sticker price. It wouldn't hurt to try it

I was a distributor for a hair company in California and they are gone now. It's sad because they had such great quality hair, but everyone wanted to buy cheap hair. Now some people are starting to understand that the investment is worth it. Mines use to last for 2 years, maybe longer if I didn't cut it so much.

You can steam or boil it. There are some videos on it

I think one way is when they have different grades for the hair, like 5 grades, or 6 stars. Real virgin hair is just that raw unprocessed.
