Bro, first of all, u should know the difference between idol and deity. An idol is called when there is no certain ritual performed to that or any praanaprathista has done to it. If the idol got consecrated in temple or home with certain mantras as per aagama shastra and rituals performed for consecration, then it should be called a deity, not idol. So in the temple, we called the vigraham as deity, not idol. Pls correct next time in ur vedios and let others know about this. Thank u all d best 😊
Some indian words actually don’t have right English translation, so it is better we use Indian original word like murthy or vigraha else it can be misunderstood by foreign cultures. Most of hindu traditions are misunderstood due to poor translation.
Modern education promote Abrahmic way of thinking. So all misconstrued translations are creating problems like word ‘ GOD ‘ has a very different concept in bible or quran, we don’t have this GOD concept in Sanathan. Brahman or paramatman is not the ‘ GOD ‘ defined in Abrahmic ideology. Again atman is translated as Soul from bible . Bro, first of all, u should know the difference between idol and deity. An idol is called when there is no certain ritual performed to that or any praanaprathista has done to it. If the idol got consecrated in temple or home with certain mantras as per aagama shastra and rituals performed for consecration, then it should be called a deity, not idol.
So in the temple, we called the vigraham as deity, not idol. Pls correct next time in ur vedios and let others know about this.

Idols are names given by abrhamic culture since they oppose idol worship.they see this as unholy
Some indian words actually don’t have right English translation, so it is better we use Indian original word like murthy or vigraha else it can be misunderstood by foreign cultures. Most of hindu traditions are misunderstood due to poor translation.
Modern education promote Abrahmic way of thinking. So all misconstrued translations are creating problems like word ‘ GOD ‘ has a very different concept in bible or quran, we don’t have this GOD concept in Sanathan. Brahman or paramatman is not the ‘ GOD ‘ defined in Abrahmic ideology.
Again atman is translated as Soul from bible . But they have a weird concept of soul & spirit in bible as i learn which doesn’t actually define ‘ atman ‘ we can better call it ‘true self ‘ or maybe just atman than ‘ soul’ as defined in bible .
Again by Abrahmic influence we keep saying RIP ( rest in peace )😢, in Christianity they believe the soul rests in grave until judgement day then body( youthful ) is restored & sent to heaven or hell for eternity. While in sanathani atman doesn’t rest in grave , body is decomposed atma moves on to another dimension and eventually into another body until moksha . Then why the hell we are wishing rest in peace 😅.rest where in a box in graveyard?

In thiruchengode (Namakkal district of Tamilnadu) lord Ardhanareeshwar (only temple dedicated for him in the world) idol also made up of Navabhasanam. That is very big and taller (6 feet) than palani murugan idol. This temple is 2000 years old, older than palani. But many are unaware of this.
According to texts by bogar in Palani temple , the idol was made 5000 years ago. Anga Bogar sanathila irukum bro .I read whenever I go there .
Actually पाषाण (paashana) also means for stone. But paashana means poison too. In Kannada we refer to rat poison as ಇಲಿ ಪಾಷಾಣ. The word Paashana means poison in south India languages were as stone in north India languages.
