All types of costly branded sports, hiking shoes are useless at high altitude of Himalayas . only wear light weight shoes having good grip .

The real people of hill never used any of these crap ...till now.
High ankle support only? Can't it be mid ankle....
Went to India last year with the intention of trekking in himachal - never again...horrible experience!
What happened? Where did you trek?
@Indiahikes our worst experience was in shimla...but really the whole trip...my wife caught typhoid and I pneumonia - India has changed a LOT since my first visit forty years ago...sad
