  • Here is a cold start of my Srt4. It has a big turbo, full 3inch exhaust, a cutout, and of course many supporting mods.
    If there are any videos you would like to see of this specific car please let me know down in the comments, as this one is mine and I would be happy to make more.

    Sounds exactly what it would if the coil pack wires were installed wrong, or the cams are for a non ngc 2.0 dohc and the fuel timing is off from the cam magnet being 90 degrees off from NGC cam magnet position.

      She leaks a little oil from the vavle cover that i need to replace but makes about 400hp with the butt dyno. I have a nova that weighs about the same and makes 320hp, so i would say 400 is within 20hp based on that. However it was not tuned by me but a reputable tuner. I don't think there were any issues when i made this video minus the fact that the wires for the tps were shot so the idle would hang, but I feel confident that everything has been done correctly or else the tuner would have brought something up

      Venom is right. The way the rpm falls is crazy..plus sounds like its missing when it revs.

      It's built! Stock compression w/ stronger pistons and rods. Stock crank. Oversized valves, ported head and stage 2 cams.

    Man really got me thinking about doing a cut out for mine now. Performance increase noticeable?

    • @NoTraction
      @NoTraction  5 лет назад +2

      3inch exhaust makes a HUGE difference. Cutout, not as much, but mightso more if you have a smaller exhaust as it will let exhaust out faster/ more effienctly.
      Honestly, it just sounds great with it for a 4 cylinder lol. $$$ well spent

    Uh. Its missing. Did you take 1 spark plug out. A cam is only choppy at idle not through the whole rev.

    • @NoTraction
      @NoTraction  3 года назад +1

      Good ear! I fixed this the following spring from when this video was made actually. What is weird is that my A/F was never off, and it never seemed to be down on power. I actually found out that the intake manifold had a super small hairline crack in it. I need to update this video lol. It still sounds the same at idle basically, just slightly less like choppy. But no longer breaks up under acceleration.

    We’re the cams simple to install? Notice any gains?

    • @NoTraction
      @NoTraction  3 года назад +2

      It's not bad! I think there's a write up on the srt forums of how to do it. Basically it just shifts the powerband up a bit so you make a bit more peak at the cost of power downlow.
      Imo not worth it unless youre running a big turbo. There are better gains to be made for the $ if your car is closer to stock.

      @@NoTraction i agree. I have 50 trim big turbo, 1000cc FIC, 255 walboro, wotbox and up pipe/ hood exit. Just ordered the stage 2 BC cams. I appreciate the advice brother

    • @NoTraction
      @NoTraction  3 года назад

      @@thatjunkieant6599 NP Man! Sounds like a good upgrade with what you have. Don't forget to get it retuned, it's the only way you'll actually be able to take full advantage of the cams. Also a good time to upgrade air intake (if you haven't) or any other "smaller items" you've been thinking about since you'll already be paying for a retune.
      PS jealous of the hood exit, I've always liked my stuff to look a bit "ratty", and I think that is the perfect look on a srt4. I just can't commit to it on this car, it's just a little to clean to do it, but at the same time not the cleanest out there. Idk, maybe someday haha

    What's the best wheel fitment??? Like numbers

    • @NoTraction
      @NoTraction  4 года назад

      It depends on the wheel size, offset, and if youre lowered etc. I would suggest searching this topic on the srtforums. I read a great article on it a few years back, I assume it's still there
