  • Fort Worth Police Sergeant Billy Randolph's death reminds us once again that one of the most dangerous places for a law enforcement officer to be is on a freeway.

Why would you standing outside this was hours after the accident

It’s called investigation. It’s also called securing the scene for hazmat cleanup. It takes hours to clean up a diesel spill on the highway and do it according to state law. The bottom line is that the woman that hit him should’ve never been behind the wheel but she was. I hope she spends the rest of her life in prison for it.

It puts citizens in danger as well. Stop the roadside racketeering. Stop filling quotas.

@@Demshavenobrains the newscast spoke of other statistics, including speed enforcement, I’m far more worried about 18wheelers trying to pass each other up causing traffic blockades, than some dude in sedan doing 82 on the interstate going about his business. But those 18wheelers doin 71-77 mph aren’t as good of a ticket. I’m all for police protecting and serving, and if they gotta get rough with crooks, absolutely. But when I see a chickenhawk sitting on side of the road with his little baseball radar. I’m filled with disdain. I also think common drivers licenses should be more difficult to obtain, and there should also be obtainable advanced level drivers licenses. And 18wheelers should all have governors capping at 65mph, and any truck carrying or towing construction materials or equipment should be a highway cops main focus. They sling rocks and debris everywhere, but sputtering along at 76, they don’t set off radar alarms. Those tickets aren’t bringing in as much money as the ticket for a sedan driver doing 82. It’s government funded highway robbery.
