This is without question the best video we've ever produced. We've spent more than 2 weeks working on this, with the whole team putting in some crazy hours, and it's cost us a fortune. This is the direction the channel is going to be going in, more travel, much higher production quality and less frequent videos. I hope you like it - we've already got Episode 2 booked in for a few weeks - the Best Thing From Barcelona!
Yes lads, The Mumbles is Swansea, Swansea City council. What you were calling 'Swansea' is the 'City centre'!! There are many many areas of Swansea, and just one of them is mumbles.... glad you enjoyed our City and glad you visited... ...ps, you went to the old original marina, there's a few more marina's further along, one attached to another. Joe's ice-cream best in Britain... Best wishes
This is a great direction for the channel, Kev. We still get to enjoy the ramblings of you being you without impacting your family's privacy - the hard work and effort really shows. Can't wait for episode 2!
I found your channel after listening to the Best Thing From podcast and I’ve checked in on you every now and then since. I’ve been wishing it’d come back since the last episode so I love how you’ve completely reimagined everything
Swansea man, living in Brunei for the last 13 years here: great to see my old home town but by god, its changed a bit since I last saw the place. FYI: Lavabread should be eaten very hot, sprinkled with pepper and joined with a nice bit of bacon and sausage! Those Cockles are not from the area I'm afraid: they're shipped in from Belgium, as the local coastline has been severely contaminated and the food is now not safe to eat. Joe's Ice Cream is good, but not the best. There are many Ice Cream parlours across all of southg Wales, run by old Italian families (there was a large influx in the 19th century) and these old traditional parlours make the best Ice-Cream in the world, period! May I recommend you return in High Summer? There will be a lot more to see and experience but make an effort to explore the beaches - there's a pathway from the Mumbles Pier, covers All of the Gower Peninsular, covering dozens of golden beaches such as Langland, Caswell, Oxwich, Port Eynon and many more. I am certain you will enjoy the place a lot more in the sunshine!
You've been away from Swansea to long Mucka, 13 14 years you wouldn't know the place now then, so much on going development. By the way, Joe's ice cream is the best tasting ice cream around 😊
As a frequent visitor to Swansea, really enjoyed the video but the laver break really should have been cooked first, preferably in bacon fat and if you had on walking in the marina, you would eventually have the promenade, with breath taking views of the coast. I agree Joe's ice cream second to none!
I am welsh blooded born in Stockton California same town as the Diaz brothers. Ufc. Anyhow my small town had a mummy at a museum. I hope this helps. Lol cheers with a fake beer, sober almost 2 months
Bit of background on Plantasia - it's been there as long as I can remember. Everything around it has changed i.e. Aldi used to be a massive toys r us. Loved this vid though. Proud that my home city was worthy of a Kev visit, before you've ever managed them on NL2L I might add
So so so good! The opening is amazing. Absolutely class content on so many levels. Really hope this is what sees this channel explode. I think the dynamic between you and Sheepdog ensures this kind of thing (and other stuff you've worked on exclusively with sheepdog in the past) is the best content you've got. Looking forward to the podcast. My only feedback (and I don't have 112k subs on RUclips so take my RUclips advice with a bag of salt) is that some extra bells and whistles on the editing would bring it in line with more modern videos like this. Overlays with how much things cost, ratings of each 'thing' - with a final rating ranking at the end of the video - and information on key items (a bit like came up for the Dylan Thomas statute. But needed less text and more visual clarity) would really, in my humble opinion, add a dimension to the video beyond just a bunch of footage spliced together.
I love all your videos but this was incredible can see the effort that's been put into it - never commented before but needed to for this hopefully help the algorithm
I want you to visit Sheringham, North Norfolk, they have Cromer Crab, which is very tasty, Ronaldo's Ices (best Ice cream in the area, not to mention, the museum, not to mention some really good chip shops and a cafe called Streat Boss which we go to everytime we are there, all their food is really nice and not to mention, the steam train ride, and Craft bakery, it's a nice vibe, friendly people, lovely food and beaches and a a round great time
Really great video Kev, cant wait for the Barcelona one, I loved that city, and when I was there I also went to Barcelona v Valencia (The 7-0 Gary Neville one!)
Decent vid, think you showed my city off well. Walk down Swansea beach and eating at the top floor of the tallest building in Wales would have been good contenders
What a great first episode, Kev! I've been following your channel since 2017 and I can already tell this will be a fantastic series! My favourite type of content on this channel through the years has been your travel vlogs, whether it's Centre Parks, Disneyland or Alton Towers, they've always been the stand-out videos for me, so I can just tell this will be a series I'll love! Keep up the great work :)
Joe's ice cream is really good, one of the best. But just a couple of miles away from Swansea is a village called Skewen and it has Cresci's ice cream which is the best ice cream in the world.
Good video. Granted it's the first episode but it would be neat to have this series find it's own style over time as it didn't feel massively removed from a normal vlog you'd do when you're visiting somewhere. More of the voiceover type stuff from the start would help break up the different segments, maybe giving a bit of background on the town/city or on the individual shop/bar/restaurant etc.
You should visit Rochester. A truly ancient city, an early cathedral and technically, not a city since 1999, due to a bureaucratic mistake in 1999 when Rochester City Council was merged with Gillingham Borough Council to make Medway unitary authority
The reason why you should go to Glasgow is because they have an underground station with 15 stations inner circle anticlockwise outer circle clock wise try to go during the week 6:30 am is when the Glasgow underground opens.
Great video lads, made a good account of Swansea - as I saw you walking into that pub I was waiting for the grab on the shoulder, not the best place. Quality shone through with this video, what audio equipment are you using? Watch a lot of vlogs and this sounded great, even in windy Swansea
Do bristol next theres lots of historic stuff and its got a lot of good things to try plus Wallis and gormet are from bristol and you can find them all over the city
I am from swansea I work at b and m by that zoo . I think have to have a look around it 😆 . For me I enjoy runnning along the bay the best from swansea from me is the joe ice cream 🍦 good video
Everyone in Swansea has been to Denny's once. But no-one has been twice. Joe's is awesome. Wind Street is legend. But you should also have gone to the beach on the Thumbnail. We got amazing beaches.
Just a Swansea native here, trying not to be offended by the addition of subtitles for what sounds (to me!) like clear English conversation!! Mumbles is definitely Swansea, but it's also definitely the start of Gower. Gower is stunning! And whoever this Sheepdog fellow is, cherry in your Welsh cake? Don't be gross!
I’m from Swansea and have always lived here. For most of my life I’ve thought of Swansea as a “meh” city; no one really knows it (outside of Wales), there’s A LOT of druggies and winos and just crime in general, The buildings are (mostly) really old and rotting, and overall there’s “nothing special about it”. As proven by this video, we have a few good things, though saying we have “the best market in Britain” is a bit of a stretch. We have an interesting history and even an interesting present, thank you for making me Re-Realise that Swansea is pretty alright, much appreciated!
Your not a true Jack then speaking like that. Us Swansea people are the salt of the earth. Never leave your doo darr on your own doorstep... Swansea is well known along the ranks of premiership and championship football. Enzo maccarinelli was a world championship boxer, not to mention another son of Swansea, Dylan Thomas,, who was known worldwide for his way with words his wonderful poetics.....not forgetting the elite rugby team based at Swansea, namely the Swansea Ospreys.....ETC
I had my first Knickerbocker glory In Joe's ice cream parlour they moved the shop about ten years later to the present site, the ice cream was the best thing i had ever had but then in 1955 and still in the shadow of WW II desolation, all sweets and treats tasted the best back then. Went back 15 years later but i got drunk instead, boy do I love welsh beer!! iechyd da.

I remember you doing something similar when you made podcasts! Can’t wait for this video!
Sounds good will be herr for the premiere
Awesome really enjoyed it great job 👏
I live up the road Kev sorry I missed you
Been searching the comments for Anna commenting, did she find out? 😅
I have lived 10 minutes from swansea my entire life and you have done more in 1 video than I have in 22 years. Loved this!
Best wishes
There’s a music venue called The BunkHouse and Hanger 18
This is a great direction for the channel, Kev. We still get to enjoy the ramblings of you being you without impacting your family's privacy - the hard work and effort really shows. Can't wait for episode 2!
Swansea girl here. 🏴 I’ve never eaten laverbread cold, was yours cold? You should try it hot with thick salty bacon.
I found your channel after listening to the Best Thing From podcast and I’ve checked in on you every now and then since. I’ve been wishing it’d come back since the last episode so I love how you’ve completely reimagined everything

From Swansea myself so cool to see the city from your view.
I live in Swansea and mumbles is apart of Swansea 😊, mumbles is a great place, especially in the summer
As a frequent visitor to Swansea, really enjoyed the video but the laver break really should have been cooked first, preferably in bacon fat and if you had on walking in the marina, you would eventually have the promenade, with breath taking views of the coast. I agree Joe's ice cream second to none!
calling a Welsh cake a "Scone" hurt my lil welsh heart 😂
i moved here from bedfordshire 4 years ago and i love living here
Really enjoyed this first episode Kev! Looking forward to more in the future!
I am welsh blooded born in Stockton California same town as the Diaz brothers. Ufc.
Anyhow my small town had a mummy at a museum. I hope this helps. Lol cheers with a fake beer, sober almost 2 months
Outstanding video Kev and team.
Just watched it, and thought was great look forward to next 1

Great work from all involved. Keep them coming. Thumbs 👍
Brilliant content. Loved the foreshadowing of you saying Sheepdog was going to end up in a&e after drinking the milk! Looking forward to the next one.
this video was so good cant wait for episode 2
It’s already out! The Barcelona video is episode 2 of this series!
So so so good! The opening is amazing. Absolutely class content on so many levels. Really hope this is what sees this channel explode. 19:22 dude thought jack Murphy was a chippy😂 it’s a club like
A lot of fun. Looking forward to the next one.
Best thing from Swansea is Joe’s ice cream. And there used to be a Joe’s ice cream parlour by plantasia, which did combine your two favourite things.
I love all your videos but this was incredible can see the effort that's been put into it - never commented before but needed to for this hopefully help the algorithm
Loved this keep it up 🙂
This is great, way better than just a vlog- the fact is has the direction of finding the best thing gives it that edge as content
Love that this is back. This is how I found out you guys existed
Looking forward to all the videos in this series cracking 1st episode.
Would definatly like to see a best thing from Peterborough one.
From Swansea. Can confirm Joe's is the best thing we have xD
Commenting for the lovely algorithm to shine bright on kev
Enjoyed this one Kev ❤
Great clog. Really enjoyed it. Nice to see sheep dog off his phone
That intro is amazing
We went there in the summer and it's great seeing some of the places and things we did again. That retail park was so confusing!
Wong part of the Marina, over the Sail Bridge you wanna go!
Absolutely beautiful series idea.
Brilliant 1st episode I really hope this continues.
Maybe consider trying to find anything good from Medway 😂
I want you to visit Sheringham, North Norfolk, they have Cromer Crab, which is very tasty, Ronaldo's Ices (best Ice cream in the area, not to mention, the museum, not to mention some really good chip shops and a cafe called Streat Boss which we go to everytime we are there, all their food is really nice and not to mention, the steam train ride, and Craft bakery, it's a nice vibe, friendly people, lovely food and beaches and a a round great time
Really great video Kev, cant wait for the Barcelona one, I loved that city, and when I was there I also went to Barcelona v Valencia (The 7-0 Gary Neville one!)
the security dude is pete 😂 and yeahhhhhh joes.... best around
Well this is new Kev 😃 I like it, keep up the great work
Decent vid, think you showed my city off well. Walk down Swansea beach and eating at the top floor of the tallest building in Wales would have been good contenders
Amazing video Kev, hopefully do Blackpool one day 🤞🏽
Love it!!
Awesome video! Can't wait to see the next one! Also well done on the edit Chris!
What a great first episode, Kev!

I really enjoyed this one. Can’t wait for the podcast
Nice vid. I loved it
This was great :D
Joe's ice cream is really good, one of the best. But just a couple of miles away from Swansea is a village called Skewen and it has Cresci's ice cream which is the best ice cream in the world.
Wonderful video, Kev! If I hadn't wanted to go to Swansea before, I would want to go there now. :D
You two make such a great duo 😂
You’ve come to the right place, fella. I don’t live far from Swansea. But I mainly prefer Cardiff.
Love the series. Maybe one day I’ll make it over to your side of the planet. I’d use these as a guide!
Ahhh this is wonderful!
Jack ere' .....Swansea's best feature is the train station, which allows you to leave Swansea @ speeds up to 125mph.
Stefsngriffin3688 - And we can’t wait for you to leave.
@@alanc286 ditto x
@@alanc286 PENLAn? tOWNHILL ...JUS GUESSING LOL

Love coming across a video about my home town and better yet someone with the same surname as me
I live no far from town where you guys filmed this video surprised I didn’t see you guys
Good video. Granted it's the first episode but it would be neat to have this series find it's own style over time as it didn't feel massively removed from a normal vlog you'd do when you're visiting somewhere. Should definitely consider splitting London into boroughs - there's a lot of hidden gems outside of the centre everyone knows
i agree!!!
Deffo, great shout!
You should visit Rochester. A truly ancient city, an early cathedral and technically, not a city since 1999, due to a bureaucratic mistake in 1999 when Rochester City Council was merged with Gillingham Borough Council to make Medway unitary authority
Great vlog
That is the neatest thing a vending for milk😂
😂 what sort of milk though?
Wind street is pronounced , wind (the clock ) rather than a weather feature. nice vid🍦🍦
Great new series, best video for a while, you should go to Winchester
The reason why you should go to Glasgow is because they have an underground station with 15 stations inner circle anticlockwise outer circle clock wise try to go during the week 6:30 am is when the Glasgow underground opens.
Brilliant!!!
Hmm thought you could of gone to visit Swansea Museum and Dylan Thomas's old home in the uplands as well.
NEWCASTLE !!!
Superb video, I think you've come to the right conclusion, looking forward to more of this series
Good work kev
I love this thank u
Solid. Now sell your format to Amazon.
Nice to see people checking out my home and enjoying themselves. It was always gonna be Joe's 😂
My best thing from Bristol would be za za bazaar.
Great Vid
Lovely 💯
Visiting my city 🖤
Don't send Mumbles to VAR Kev they will award it to Cardiff.
that milk vending machine is my life now.
Best video ever
Milton Keynes, Bletchley Park, Xscape, Willen Lake, Costco lol 😂
Your best video ever

Ow Luv, we'z posh year rite!!!
Newcastle!!
Kev had a Denny's....confirmation of what caused the hospital visit....
Everyone in Swansea has been to Denny's once. But no-one has been twice.
Joe's is awesome. Wind Street is legend. But you should also have gone to the beach on the Thumbnail. We got amazing beaches.
Walked past Denny’s when it was first opening , you didn’t need to go in to decide nope .
Really enjoyed this. Just one thing wrong, it's not wind street as in weather. It is wind as in wind up the clock 😂
🎉 Jo's ice-cream is the best
Try coming to Glasgow
I grew up there. Left in 2008 no regrets.
Go to the Granite City, Aberdeen! See if you can find anything interesting haha
But Joes being the winner gets a wholehearted seal of approval from me, loved the video Kev.
Hi, I edited this. The subtitles weren't due to the person being Welsh, it was purely because it was a bit harder to hear them in the video!
You should come to Cornwall
I’m from Swansea and have always lived here.
