Hey Paul! Love your vids! Just a little tip for the ghost shrimp tank. You have to attach the anubias nana on a peice of hard scape because the roots take nutrients from the water column, not the substrate, so the plant will die if planted in substrate. This is called an epiphyte plant. Just a heads up! Great vid!👍👍

@@thomasambers9977 Its classic paul, he says he loves plants but knows nothing about them. Ive seen multiple people comment on a variety of different videos about java ferns and anubias yet video after video nothing changes. I dont even bother trying to help anymore, he doesnt even read them/doesnt care.

I believe the back sections were intended to be your filter sections with a sponge and bioballs along with a pump. It's not that hard to do there.

@@TheReggaesunshine Probably because it involves more than just laser cutting acrylic. You also need to deal with some of those parts (mainly the bioballs part) bouncing around while in transit and scratching the acrylic.
Buy a cheap sponge filter and cut it to fit in the first part, fill the second with some of the smaller bioballs or smaller garden lava rock pieces, and find a small pump to fit in the last part. It looks like there's room that you could even fit a pouch of carbon in if you wanted to

Hey Paul love your videos. 1 advice the Anubias nana the rizone must not be under soil, sand and or gravel but you can glue it on wood or rock. All in all love your videos keep up the good work.

It’s because it’s a fish divider/breeding thing, it ain’t a ”mini tank” even tho it was maybe labelled as one. That’s why it didn’t come with no filter or lid.

Paul you can put like alot of plants in the back part of the tank or you can put some small water lights in the back that would look really cool
Paul really inspired me to have and take care of loads of animals and now our house is like an aquarium . We have Betta fish, Catfish, Angelfish, Tilapia, and axolotls

Great video! For freshwater, make sure you remineralize the RO water. Pure RO water doesn’t have any minerals that help provide a PH buffer, and can be harmful to some species of fish and plants over time. You might know that already and just not show that part of the process but worth mentioning ☺️👍

You could breed them for feeding. May I mention, it is so cool to see them eat sinking pellets. Try it! They turn them around in their mouth and it is so cool

Pigs in general aren't hard, but there's no such thing as a "mini pig" unfortunately, all pigs, even the ones that they call mini pigs are going to grow into big, eating machines. So if you get a pig it wont be hard to look after but it *will* be expensive.

@@kadenharris2825 dude they are FEEDER SHRIMP! People feed their fish shrimp all of the time. In the past when he has done little fish tanks, he never kept them and if anything would put minnows in them just to see what it would look like!

Paul, it is a little bit funny that you had the tank with dividers and didn’t use that to get different color shrimp you could have done red white and blue. Cherry shrimp, blue velvet shrimp, and the ghost shrimp that you already have. Also that tank is set up with a fantastic sump on the rear, all you had to do was add some filter media and a very small pump. By not utilizing the rear some, you added that filter which takes up third of the whole tank

Paul, that Anubias Nana doesnt need to be planted, they get nutrients from the water, aquascapers usually use glue or thread to attach it to an hardscape

I recommend breeding the ghost shrimp, they lay a lot of eggs and they are so small and impossible to see. I had my baby shrimp in s breeder net and now they are half inch long. BTW I just ordered merch😀
You should put all the plants in the back area that you can't use for the pump as more interest since it's a hard area to utilize.

So paul!; There is very small pumps you can get! Use airline tubing or similar and make a sump. Fill the back with mechanical and bio media!

Anubias needs to be out of the substrate. Attach to a rock or driftwood. I learned this the hard way lol
Ya thats for breeding so the bettas can get use to the female to see if he is aggressive. Also a show tank for tanking pics. The anubius only roots in sand not the thick risezone or it will die. And jelly on the grass needs to be fully washed off.
Paul you can take that filter apart and it’s literally just a submersible little pump that I’m sure would fit in the back they literally just slide out and pop apart

Oh Paul, you just needed to get filter foam, pads, or bio media, & a nano water pump, just like a sump you get to choose what kind of media you want!
I like Paul’s point though…It all should have been included with a top!

Dwarf hair grass is a carpeting plant and once it grows in it will need to be trimmed regularly

The anubias nana like it's rhizome in the water coloum, if you Bury its roots and rhizome in the substrate it will rot, it needs to be tied/glued to wood or rock not buried in the substrate

Anubias are epiphytic plants, you put them on rocks or wood not in the substrate. In substrate the rhizome will rot.
