No not at all, trust me I lived in LA and yeah Compton is not in the city of Los Angeles but it's apart of LA county it's own separate community and Long Beach is it's own city too and has nothing to do with LA/South Central at all, only thing they have in common is they share the same county, I have been to Long Beach and it has a nice downtown and port area that is safe for tourists to walk around, you would have a much better chance surviving in Long Beach compared to Compton Watts and south Central.
South Central,Compton Inglewood, Long Beach etc are all a different worlds apart despite all be so close together.
