My father passed away 2 years ago and i grew up in the church as well since before i was born. I do admit i have lost my connection with God and I’m trying to get back but it’s hard! I lost my godfather last year suddenly to cancer. He was diagnosed and then passed away 4months later and I know exactly how you feel. He was a dad to me and I was his daughter, and I was also going through a domestic violence issue at the time so I was being very tested. I’m still trying to get over the disappointment of feeling like God didn’t hear my prayers or why would he take basically my pops from me. I love by myself and I honestly haven’t dated or anything since all of this because I’m trying to understand my emotions before dealing with someone else. Thank you for sharing this ❤

Not me crying when you started talking about your disappointment with God. I really felt that and still do. My aunt passed away 2 months ago and I still don’t feel steadfast in my faith like I was, I feel so let down. I just don’t know how I can ever get back to my relationship being the way it was with him. I’m really trying but my heart is broken 😢
That’s a WORD you just spoke! Disappointment! I was raised Catholic in Washington DC and I attended a church on eastern avenue . I mainly attended because I lived with my grandma and there was no choice in the matter ! Then I started going for myself once I became a teenager , I joined the choir and some other groups where I was able to travel with the church! When my mother was diagnosed with cancer I thought that my faith and hers was strong enough to surpass all things through Christ and I prayed faithfully! On the day my mom was about to transition she called for the priest for her last rights ,she asked him was there a heaven and he answered No! I was devastated and very soon after gave up on church and God! Now that I am an adult I understand that God did answer my prayers…I asked him to cover her and take away her pain! Amen and though I wanted my mother god delivered her! I am back at church and standing in my faith because God never promised me no pain or no troubles, he promised me that if I have faith in him and his word he would never give me more than I can bare and I truly believe that I am stronger because he carries me and covers me! I am still healing and understanding that even God was disappointed and he created us! 😂 I hope you don’t mind me saying that I will keep you in my prayers ! I know that everybody is into the crystals and everything now, but I encourage you to really look into the spiritual aspect of the crystals from a Christian standpoint and pray about them. Just like you I was so distant and angry at God but once God spoke to me and told me why she had to go. My heart was healed. Now don't get me wrong, yes I still feel sad here and there.. That's a human thing but being able to accept why she passed it helped me significantly.. Anyways,, I'm just here to say you're not alone❤ keep in prayer and God will heal your heart❤

Catching up on your vlogs so I’m super late but I just had to still comment on this 15:10. I so appreciate the strength you show in your vulnerability first off! After experiencing life changing trauma I had this same issue with wanting to get back to where and who I was and I just want to say that I started to find my way when I let go of that mindset. When I accepted that who I was before, that mindset that heart I had is gone and I had to actively choose to move forward with who I am now and grieve who I was before the pain and hurt. I feel you on so many levels. My mom passed in May 2019 and I felt so let down by my faith and it was hard for me to reconcile. Then a friend introduced me to Union Church November 2021 and I finally felt both renewed in my faith and real with myself. It’s hard to explain but just know you touched me & i understand every word you said.❤
Whew i haven’t been able to pinpoint spiritually what was missing after my brother passed away but the DISAPPOINTMENT is so real omg. God is using you and your struggles thank you so much for that

Me and my husband was the same way when I lost my daughter but I learned during that time just to be real and raw with God. 🤧 during our grief we cried , screamed I went and got a bat and let my anger out in the yard. And prayed and just told him how we felt and how angry, hurt sad mad in rage we was it was so therapeutic 😩

God is faithful and just Sunny sometimes we ask God why things happen such as death, illness etc. but we never ask God why do good things happen you are so very blessed. I have watched you the last few years you have come so far and that's with God. I understand death is so difficult I'm someone who struggles with their health daily for the last 20 years. You know, in regards to your faith and having been wavered after your dad passed. The Bible speaks on being on one accord. We tend to die with our dead but forget how if we are not in agreement, the prayer request falls void. An also, praying his will be done and not our own. I’m new here so not sure you’ve ever spoke on your dad and his time of transition but it’s very possible that he was ready. Continue to pray for understanding….💋

Me and my husband was the same way when I lost my daughter but I learned during that time just to be real and raw with God. 🤧 during our grief we cried , screamed I went and got a bat and let my anger out in the yard. And prayed and just told him how we felt and how angry, hurt sad mad in rage we was it was so therapeutic 😩
THAT PART! I havent let my anger out yet. I think i wanna go to a rage room and let off some steam.

You know, in regards to your faith and having been wavered after your dad passed. The Bible speaks on being on one accord. We tend to die with our dead but forget how if we are not in agreement, the prayer request falls void. An also, praying his will be done and not our own. I’m new here so not sure you’ve ever spoke on your dad and his time of transition but it’s very possible that he was ready. Continue to pray for understanding….💋
No i havent spoke on that. I probably wont because its such a sensitive subject. But yes i knew he was ready and i think thats where my disappointment is because i wasnt. So thats the hurt i am working on letting go this year. And that is definitely a prayer i need to declare more.
