Thank you so much for this video! You saved me a lot of time! Easy to follow instructions, and I loved the notes that you had to add! Thank you, again.

Rifshy RnS I recently bought this one and started as you showed after 2 weeks i got lilly pipe as my tank is small like 45 20 21 And just switched off the power closed the valves and replaced with nee likly pipes but started the power but it didn't worked I removed the whole water from canister and tried its still didn't worked what would its not taking the water now
I'm redoing my aquarium and have been using the 250 for years but I'm curious why you have the tube with all the little holes removed? Is there a benefit to this or purely aesthetics?
Please help I have the EHEIM Pickup 160 in my axolotl tank . Could you please give me some advice on I could make the current less powerful because axolotls do not like current strong .
Yes can but it would be challenging to install and maneuver the hose. It is advisable to place it below tank level, typically inside the tank stand/cabinet.
Hello there, You can clean it every 2 months, depending on the bio load. If it’s a planted tank with less fish, you may go up to 3-4 months. Make sure to clean the filter with the aquarium water itself, in order to retain the beneficial bacteria. If you wash it with direct tap water, you may kill most of the beneficial bacteria, and it will take 3-4 weeks for the bacteria to establish.
Hi guy, nice video ! I'm french, sorry for my language. I have two questions for you. Does this external pump make noise? I have an 80L aquarium, I hesitate between the Eheim Classic 150 pump and the Eheim Classic 250 pump (the one you present in your video). Which one do you recommend and why ? Thank you
Does not emit any sound, the noise that you hear in my video when I turn the filter on: is the impeller startup at first, that's it, its pretty silent thereafter. Classic 150 is sufficient for an 80L tank depending on the stocking and hardscape structures that do not block the flow and create dead spots.
Sir, should i use the double tab connector for flow rate control Actually i have purchased eheim 350 classic for my 40x30x30 cm tank but the flow rate is too high for this dimension. please confirm should i half close the lever of outflow side to control the flow.
@@RifshyRnS No, you can't control the flow. the double tap connectors are not designed to reduce flow. if you try to reduce flow by closing the valves by a quarter or half, the double tap connectors will leak. Best to keep at 100% open, 100% flow.
I need your help deeply please, i bought used 250 filter but without o ring , can you please give me the details for the o ring size thickness diameter etc . Orginal o ring 12$ so i need to search for cheaper alternative o ring.
my eheim 150 makes a sound "o o o o", if i lightly touch the lid of the filter, it decreases, do you know why, please guide me how to fix this problem, thanks
I'm trying to prime mine and it won't work. It's filled canister just over half full but won't fill it anymore and I keep getting mouthfulls of tank water 🤮
Would there be any concern to turning off the filter on a daily basis? (then back on after some hours) Would it do harm to the motor long term or create some concerns on the media if it just sat around 8-12 hours with no flow? I'm considering turning off the filter overnight that's why (let's leave out why I would do that lol)
Why would you turn off the filter? Flow is essential for the beneficial bacteria in the filter media to thrive and do the job. Moreover, the circulation within the tank water column is important too.
Hello, beautiful tank. So is this how you prime?. Canister is empty, you suck on outlet hose, which creates a vacuum. Canister fills up. So you wait till water runs out of outlet pipe before switch it on?
Do not follow step by step like I did. I’m dyslexic so I struggle with my left and rights but telling people the wrong inlet and outlet is absolute joke you deserved to get banned from RUclips
These are called classic for a reason, they are built very simply and because of that they will run for years.
A great all round filter!
Thank you. Your fish tank is so beautiful and all videos very helpful!
Wow oooh that works so well! Love watching your amazing video's.

I am glad that my video helped you mate, good luck.
Thinking about getting one of these for my 44 gallon goldfish tank.
At 3.38 the words should read "remove the outlet hose, while the inlet hose is in the tanks, not the other way around.

Thanks for the helpfull vid!!! But be very sure what is your inlet and outlet 😉😉
Nice and clear review ! great tank you got too.

This is a 64-litre tank, for a 100-litre tank I suggest Eheim 350

Tank size is 60x30x36 cm

is eheim 250 enough for 60x30x36cm tank? doesnt require additional equipment to increase the flow rate?
250 is perfect for a tank of that size 👌🏻
Nice setup
Thanks Mate 🙌🏻
What do you suggest for a 280ltr tank
Eheim 250 or 350?
350 for sure bro
Great, with this Good video I did the same in my client THANKS!
I am glad 💙
did you rinse the bio balls before priming? i was told they are dusty and should be rinsed before finalizing setup...
Yes, I did rinse.
Thanks man
Can this filter be placed at the same height as aquarium?
Yes can but it would be challenging to install and maneuver the hose. It is advisable to place it below tank level, typically inside the tank stand/cabinet.
Do you have live plants in that tank? It looks great!
All plants are natural, nothing artificial.

350 is way too over-rated for that tank, better to buy a 150.
Cutting down 50% flow is not a good idea
Kasa clean karta ho planted tank, make a vedio on it
Sure will do, stay tuned.
Thanks ✌🏻
Is the flow alright for a 60 cm tank? And will the Classic 350 be too much for a ADA 60p?
350 is too much for a 60p
@@RifshyRnS Thanks a lot for clarifying
Thanks for answer. 250 is is then.
Do you have to prime by sucking on the hose?
Yes
Hello can I use in 2.5 ft tank this canister 250...
This filter is under rated for a 2.5 ft tank, use classic 350
Do you have to fill the cannister with water before priming?
No, it should be empty.
@@RifshyRnS oke thank you
Is it sturdy given that it has threaded intake ??
Indeed it is strong.
@@RifshyRnS You are still using this filter ? Have to faced any leakage issues ??
@@rahulroshan3990 Yes, I am still using it without any problem.
Is it possible to control the flow from the inlet? I bought the filter but not set up yet. Worried it might be too much flow for my 60cm tank

Where can I purchase the tubes and valves
It’s a package, comes with the filter. Alternatively, you can find online or check with your local dealer.
whats the function of those 2 grey valves
To turn the flow off for filter maintenance.

very nice video

Does it come with the filter medium?
Yes

Sorry mate, I don’t have that information.
I highly suggest you buy the original o ring.
had no clue it had to be sphinon... thought mine came broken! lol
does it make a loud sound ?
No, that sound is when you start up at the first time. Thereafter it is quiet.
How long do you prime it for ?
Until the canister is fully filled.
@@RifshyRnS water is also going the wrong way. When I syphoned the water only a little came out, not much. What am I doing wrong ?

Is Eheim 250 to big for 30cm*30cm*30cm tank?
