- In my arrangement of the Twelve Days of Christmas, I play a different instrument on each day, but not ordinary instruments. Xaphoon, cello banjo, double ocarina, dan moi jawharp, solicaster, qanun, chordomonica, bass harmonica, sitar, bombard, tongue drum, guzheng, pipa, claviola and burdola. It was a fun challenge figuring out how to make this strange ensemble into fun, listenable music.

Wow these sound almost exactly like uillean pipes. I might have to get one
1:11 I can just imagine coming home after a rough day at work, melting into my couch, turning on the tv, and then someone upstairs in 2D starts blasting 'Amazing Grace' out of tune... 🤣
Bro dope sounds !!! I love your channel !!
Your channel is so cool!
Hey Rory....if you like the sound of Bagpipe, you might also like the hulusi, a Chinese blown instrument that also has a similar sound.
However, this Burdola is awesome !
I love the sound of that instrument. Copperhead Road was especially good. It would be great to hear a longer version.
You should give uillean pipes a shot. They're still damned expensive but they're not nearly as loud as highland pipes and they have a great sound
I love old instruments, and this channel was fantastic.
Burdola is basically a zhaleika (ancient Russian hornpipe), but without a horn and with a drone pipe.
It's basically a Mijwiz or Arghul from the Middle East
Amazing . Thanks for the video
This really has quite a spectacular sound to it!
Ciao, io vivo in Italia, tu sai che nell'isola di Sardegna esiste uno strumento simile che si chiama "launeddas"?Ha un suono molto interessante e molto arcaico, complimenti per la tua bravura artistica.
Almost sounds like the Irish Uuleen bag pipe where they use bellows you control under your arm.
Cool instrument rory! Lovely playing.
It really does sounds like a bagpipe, pretty neat !
I play bagpipe and am learning. Very close to a bagpipe with out the loud droning.
Wow there you are again this great it sounds drone like bagpipes...you have found some very interesting instruments and amazingly play. So we'll...thank you Rory
Very cool series! Love learning about new instruments.
WOW what an amazing instrument
Nice Dude! Stay as you are❤️
Sounds a lot like the Sardinian Launnedas. Generally, you're supposed to learn to circular breath with these. I think that's why people invented the bagpipes so they didn't have to learn circular breathing!
wow this thing sounds a lot bigger than I thought it would.
Too awesome! I'd love to have one of these for president meditation and encantation works. Thank you foe Sharing!
wonderful!!
How ppl can play a lesser known instrument without youtube tutorial 👀
Reed woodwinds are very easy to play with just sheet music and a fingering chart. Any sheet music, especially if it's a reed instrument in the key of c. Great first instruments!
@@mcshaggyswildadventures3952 I played tenor sax in middle school, it was pretty easy to start learning 🎷 that's an alto sax close enough
HEY we have something in common! We both went to RUclips University 🎓(does the secret handshake)
Amazing instrument!! I can't understand where can I buy on internet😂😂it seems impossibile

Mr. Hoffman - Were may one purchase a burdola like you are playing? Thanks!
Reminds me more of Uillian pipes rather than Scottish pipes
How can I find this instrument?
why not learn one of the 160+ other types of bagpipes from around the world?
Because he wanted this sound
@@yeezet4592 There are many bagpipes with pretty much this exact sound (same reeds and key/scale) for exemple the swedish sackpipa but hey, the burdola is waaaay cheaper
