Underrated? She's been at the top of the charts, she's got success, she's being in The Voice, this video has more than 24.000 likes, she's got more than 18.000.000 likes in Facebook. She's not underrated, I think she's the best example of a case when pop music had really appreciated a good artist, which happens hardly ever. In the world of shit that's commercial music nowadays, I'm glad at least people listen to her.

I know she does not lip- sync ... BUT every artist while they are filming a video HAVE to lip- sync .... I repeat ... DURING A VIDEO
doing something acoustic and not lip synching are not the same thing. Acoustic(which is the video) means that it isn't electronically altered(which is true, this is her actual voice the way it would sound if it was live), but she is lip synching in the specific video, its not altered sound, but she isn't singing during the filming of the video.
people think its altered, but they don't realize she's in a building with an ECHO! and those who think its still altered you should listen to her singing "who you are" in the subway. even with the noise she sang JUST like this.

I heard this version first, and when I heard the cd version I literally got mad lol her raw voice is so amazing. I love how it sounds and the emotion in it. Her vocals are not perfect in the "technical sense" and I LOVE that. Wouldn't want to hear her any other way. They need to stop auto tuning her and completely changing her sound.

That's exactly what I thought when I listen to the album. The studio version sounds flimsy to compare to her live version we got before the album came out. Im pretty sad about it, though.

I think not only the soulfulness of the song trespasses much better through the acoustic version, but also, what makes this covers so amazing, is the freedom that Jessie shows.
With that freedom, not only she gives the raw emotion of the song much more clearly, but also she show how talented she is. She has total freedom to do whatever she wants with her songs, cause her voice is crazy in many terms:
- She has control like no one else does. Can we just appreciate her rifs/runs? I mean...
- The technique and the experience she has make her able to know what she can/can not do (which I doubt there is, really) and, even more, empower her voice even more. She can do runs of like 20secs and not get tired.
- She has love over what she does. You can clearly see that she doesn't do it "for the price tag" (lolz, sorry, had to do it xD).
She is fabulous, marvelous and an over all beautiful human being inside and out. Ly Jessie =)
