Actually if you would of gotten a Good pair of SLOTTED AND DRILLED rotors, and good Brake Pads, EBC what I use, you will QUICKLY see that a big break kit is not necessary. It is the heat dissipation which increases stopping power, flat rotors and half assed pads will give you mediocre stopping power, drilled and slotted rotors with good pads will ALWAYS increase stopping power. I only know this because I've been a master tech half my life, on big trucks, cars whatever. I've done the comparison to many times, I'm keeping my stock calipers when I get the jeep, they have PLENTY of clamping power, new rotors and pads is all that's needed. Good video anyway.
@@josiahschaffer9652 yes I will, as I had a 2017 charger 392 , the brand you want to get is Power Stop I think it was Z26 , These will also damn near eliminate brake dust 👍 also, Very important...........MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE PAD BREAK IN PROCESS, power stop is all I use, and you can stop on a dime. I've got a 392 jeep now, and I've got power stop, and I stop on a dime. Hope that helped you.
Looks like nobody has these in stock anywhere. Most are saying they're backordered until the end of February. I found 1 set for the front that's in stock. Seeing the front does most of the work stopping the vehicle, wouldn't front be enough, keeping the back stock?
Do you know what rotors can be used for replacement or are you stuck buying from the same manufacturer? In other words, are they rebuildable with say wilwood rotors?
Lot's of Kudo's for the old school approach! My kinda tribe... My Rubi 392 arrived last week and want to see everything the two of you do before proceeding. Your wife is adorable!!!
Did you notice any vibration from these at all before fully breaking them in? I just got the front and rear gold ceramic JL 392 APBs and it’s got a bit of vibration.
Hey Paul, I just saw your email too. My dad has this 392 now and it only has 2500 miles on it so it has not seen much use. So far no leaks or issues at all, we just can’t speak for putting many miles on them unfortunately.
@@shockerracing no worries. Thank you for responding. Think I will go with these on my Gladiator with a 5.7 hemi and 38's. The torque and gearing of 4.88 really likes push through the brakes in 4 low
Would love to kno who the clown was that gave this hard work and dedication type of video a thumbs down! There’s is no video on RUclips or anywhere on the internet with this kind of content and information. I bet anything the person that left a thumbs down on this masterpiece drives a bronco🤣
Ok ok good job. Quick question does the temp on the concrete help as well? 🤔 sunny was setting I believe after the swap. Just curious, once again great vid! Thumbs up!
Either way it was a good video. I lost my father to covid in December and I inherited his 2012 Jeep Wrangler so now I’m just trying to get to know more about them. So far no complaints. Once again thx for the video 👍🏽

Care to share what you went with for rotors and pads? I have softer brakes now after my upgrades on the 392.

@@williamh6547 Thanks so much. Not sure what the brake code is for my 392 though?
@@josiahschaffer9652 it's BR4 👍 Z36 power stop brake rotor and pad kit is what you need, same as mine.

The apb on the JT has definitely increased my stopping power
Love the video you guys! Super informative too! May just have to add APB Brakes to my wish list!
Thank you!
Thanks!!! You definitely should.
Can stop on a dime now, great install!
Thanks bro for amazing vedio but I have question regarding
There is any difference between stock tires and 37" terms of performance?
I’m sure it’s slightly slower, but with all the power from the 392 it’s not very noticeable.
What about the gear? Any issues or it's fine on the highway no need to do programming
@@salemkhalifa19 you need a Tazer programmer to adjust the tire size.
Love love love your videos I finally got my 392 wrangler and I’ll be watching to see how to add more mods thanks so much for sharing tips
Thank you!

Will you need to replace the wheels? Also, will the stock master brake cylinder have enough pressure for the new calipers?
With the spacers, the stock wheels work. And there should be no issue with the master cylinder.
Love your videos
I have a 2021 JL rubicon 3.0 diesel
I have a question where did you order those brakes from?
The link is in the description but it’s www.apbbrake.com
@Blue Toad here is the video for the spacers, they are from Teraflex: ruclips.net/video/yPL_33o2uio/видео.html
GREAT BRAKES! WELL DONE!

Sorry if you already mentioned this, but did you install these front and rear or front only? Thanks!
👍👍

Exactly! It was scary before

Planning to get front and rear, will this fit with 392XR wheels?

Do you do work on Jeeps other than yours?
No, we don’t.
Wrangler looks awesome on 37’s. Have you entertained installing wider wheels to get rid of the spacers?
We would have preferred to do that, but we love the factory 392 wheels
