“So this is the power of the spiral, not bad not bad at all”
And at his final moments he freaking laughs.
    That’s so badass.

Someone already pointed this at in another video but when he said I see you soon you bozo’s he was referring to the people who sacrifice their lives already

I think it could be both ways and it's up to our interpretation. Either he's telling the crew that he'll be back in a show of bravado, or he's aware he won't be making it back so he's giving a preemptive greeting. Either way, it's fucking badass

Makes sense, they are both Bandai dubs from around the same time with a lot of the same cast. Sadly the bubble burst shortly after and the US Anime market took a dive for a few years.

Kittan Bachika felt the heat of the machine against his face as he charged towards it for the final time. The adrenaline was pumping through his veins, his heart racing as he prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice.
He knew that this was it, his final chance to save his comrades and protect the world. There was no turning back now, no second chances. He had to give it his all and hope that it was enough.
As he collided with the machine, he felt a surge of power course through his body. He could feel his life slipping away, but he pushed through the pain, his thoughts focused on the ones he loved and the world he was fighting to save.
As he took his last breath, he thought of his comrades, their strength and determination inspiring him to give everything he had. He thought of the love he had for Yoko and the hope that she would continue the fight in his absence.
In his final moments, he realized that his legacy would live on through his sacrifice, inspiring others to never give up in the face of adversity. He knew that the fight was far from over, but he had done his part and now it was up to others to carry on the battle.
With a final smile on his face, Kittan Bachika closed his eyes and slipped away, content in the knowledge that his sacrifice had not been in vain.

gotta disagree with you on the dub vs sub. The japanese actors bring a level of emotion and passion to thier performances that english VA's seem unable to acomplish anymore. If you actually listen to them and pick apart thier performances you can tell that English VAs are a little bit more stiff and controlled. They don't really let themselves get loose And its nothing on them. From what i hear alot of them dont want to ruin/strain thier voices. Christopher Sabat for example pretty much uses the same voice for every character nowadays because of this reason (and its sad because i really loved his early Vegeta, and Kuwabara) And thats ok. But the Japanese VA's really let go when they perform. And you can really HEAR it, You can feel them get into thier performances! in my opinion there is just no comparison.
I will say this however. I believe back in the days when anime was just getting popular in america. the Voice actors tried harder and were alot more on par with the japanese performances. When ever i hear English Dub now though... it always leaves me bemused and disappointed. The quality of what it once was has definitly deminished more and more as the decades pass. There is also this strange thing that ive noticed over recent years, where its the same 10 voices in 20 different animes. I think the industry needs new blood. People who are not afraid to let loose and put thier all into thier performances again. Not these guys that seem to just be reading the lines and going through the motions. Again just my opinion on the matter.

If you want to hear a great English dub you should check out the dub for Chainsaw Man. I honestly believe as a manga reader and someone who has watched sub and dub for Chainsaw Man multiple times that the dub adds a lot of extra character and personality to the roles that unless you can understand Japanese are just going to hit harder for English speaking viewers. Whoever was in charge for the English dub scriptwriting should win some award in my opinion, I consider Chainsaw Man definitely top 3 or top 2 English dub performances, and I can’t wait to see the new voice actors in season 2

Dude I feel you most of the time but gurren Lagann is one of the best English dubs out there, same with dragonball (after they got into character)

    • @milicenty

I disagree with damn near all of this, especially when you compare the dub and sub, because I get more out of the English performances past or present than the sub any day of the week. The only thing I agree with is the English voice acting back in the day had more heart of the characters than nowadays, though there are a lot of exceptions.
