That SCSU chant was the hottest thing that I have ever seen another band throw @NSU, and they impressed me as a Spartan. However, NSU is sound personified! That sound quality is hard to match bc that Damn Spartan Legion can straight play, and don't get me started on the song selection! They straight hot! DAT LEGION BABY!
Maybe some of you new folks are just starting to notice them, but SC STATE 101has always been a well known band, and yes outside of SC. They have always traveled. Travel has been a little less in these past couple of years because of tight budgets, but that's with all schools. Large bands like SCSU, FAMU, & BCU have to kind of pick and choose when and where to travel due to these tight budgets.

NSU was good but SCSU game to battle baby....! I listened to both crunk mixes...NSU had the home crowd advantage...this shit right here is blowing right along with theirs! SCSU should be proud of how long they've come...I remember seeing them in 2000 and wondered what happened to them..they are BACK and better. Props to both bands they brought it!
This is coming from a Rattler, NSU was the better band this day, but both bands had phenomenal sound. You all prove time and time again why the MEAC is the Conference for finer musicianship. As far as this mix goes, it sounded good although you all seemed to hold back until Bia Bia, the chant, and that bangin ass Vice Versa! Legion and 101 please come back to the Hill so the Marching 100 can give you your next lesson lol 5 star video

After watching footage of both bands and the game I may add SCSU to the MEAC (currently only BCU NCA&T FAMU & NSU) They have always had a good size just....Junky ya know? BUT NOT HERE at all. RABAKER663, exactly what level is that? The 1st time I saw NSU was in 04 in Orangeburg, SC. They were good. Since that time, they have done nothing to equal that performance. In 08 when they came to see the 101, they were nothing special in the stands or on the field. Weather could have played a part being it was rainy that time. Folks have been trash talking about the 101 since Mr. Ellis came from MBC so that says they are doing something right. So 101, keep making your haters your motivators.

SCSU sound is not a "Wall of Sound" like BCU & SCSU's t-pets sound like their scratching a chalkboard ceiling to hit dem high G's-->Also, BCU has a way more refined song than SCSU-->Another thing, BCU doesn't [TRY] to crank like SCSU [TRIES]--->One more thing, BCU almost [NEVER] sounds bad, but SCSU had too many rough spots, dry patches, split ends, and emptiness throughout the battle. BCU is like the father and SCSU is the infant. My Opinion! O_o

SCSU you guys need to getting more publicity for your band they sound great. The sound is clean crisp and full of energy.
Maybe some of you new folks are just starting to notice them, but SC STATE 101has always been a well known band, and yes outside of SC. They have always traveled. Travel has been a little less in these past couple of years because of tight budgets, but that's with all schools. Large bands like SCSU, FAMU, & BCU have to kind of pick and choose when and where to travel due to these tight budgets.
Great Point we need to find more ways to support and advertise our HBCU bands and dancers.
