Getting to be rarer and rarer for this big birds. A couple weeks ago, we had both a FDX and UDP MD11 depart a minute from each other
Impressive takeoff for a heavy. That thing took off shorter than the 757-300 that was ahead of it. Must’ve been a light day in the shipping business.
If I’m not mistaken those MDs bring in more cargo than they take out. This takeoff roll was honestly longer than usual.
Which airports are most common to find a MD-11/DC-10 ?
SDF and MEM for the MD11s, no airport in the US has a regular DC10 anymore.
Been on a 757 out from Hamiton NZ Kiwi Air. Been on a DC 10 Air New Zealand out of Auckland, Both those types of planes are absolute Gunters,
