Very good! Thank you. Our local church is currently going through an 11 week sermon series on The Holy Spirit. This ties in well to what we just went through on Sunday morning.
I never realized how off base so many so called preachers are. I knew that most cared only about money but not only that they say things that actually make no sense and sound wordless... If that's a word. So with that thank you for teaching us with truth and sense.
Is it gonna be off-topic but I saw a video of John MacArthur where he said that Mary is not God’s. Mother and in the video he also said that Jesus blood is not God’s blood that’s a heresy someone please show it to him. I’m worried about him.
I listened to your video, and I respect your point, but I can't entirely agree with it. I, too, believe you must test everything against the Scriptures, just as the men of Berea did in Acts. I went to the scriptures and found three passages from the New Testament and one from the Old Testament: 1 Corinthians 12:7-13 (LSB), Acts 2:17-18 (LSB), James 5: 14-16, and Joel 2:28-29 (LSB). I do not see how you can put the Holy Spirit in a box. It seems in my mind that you are defining his place in this world when you say there is no supernatural appearance of the Holy Spirit in these latter days. The passages I chose clearly contradict you. Just taking the passage from James would make it void. James 5:14-16 (LSB Strong's) 14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. That whole passage could not be accurate. If I understood your position. The Holy Spirit IS working in my life, and it is experiential. Last week, I was healed by the Holy Spirit, just as described in James 5. I will discuss it with my Neurologist at the end of the week. He is a nonbeliever, so I will likely have to have some tests run to put him at ease. But that's fine. I have had too many strokes, so I see it as due diligence. Both of my knees are bone on bone. They have been for at least 20 years. I suffered for a long time, but a few years ago, a sister in Christ saw me struggling and prayed over my knees, and I am good again. They are still bone on bone, but they do not hurt. Two strokes disabled me. I could no longer do math, but what the Spirit did for me was impressive. I could not move much more than from the couch to the bathroom or bed. I received a 12-week bible study with 12 videos, and I slept, watched, and studied until my wife got home from work every day except for 2 days of PT. I finished the study in 14 days. About 2 days into the study, I realized the wonder of Romans 8:28. I could go on, but the list is long, and in my heart, it is not the physical healing that is the particular part of the Spirit's blessings. It is the spiritual. I find peace in every action I recognize, and I am certain I miss many. The joy that comes is so incredible, and it is not the actions of the spirit that bring that joy. It is knowing that I am not alone. I am still disabled, and there are days when Migrraines will take me out... they came with the first stroke... but I remember Ephesians 6, Psalm 23, Psalm 121, Romans 12:1-2 and hundreds of other passages. And I know that the Holy Spirit brings these passages to mind, and the encouragement and support of other believers strengthen me. I have to paraphrase sometimes and struggle with spoken words, but my brothers and sisters in Christ help and support me. This is longer than I intended, but the Spirit just gave me the words. I know some people talk about experiences or project things that are dubious, but I encourage everyone to test those situations against the scriptures. The funny thing is, I am pretty sure the scriptures would not help me a lot without the help of the Holy Spirit and my faith.
*Calvinism is an HERESSY.* Jesus died for all of us (John 3:16), (2 Corinthians 5:14, 15) (Romans 5:18)... etc Because He is a loving and merciful God! He paid for all our sins! (Isaiah 53:6), (1 John 2:2). A sovereign God that has chosen the most of humanity to be suffering infinite torment in hell for trillions, and trillions, and trillions of years, without any opportunity to choose, *is NOT a loving God,* *is NOT a merciful God,* it’s a god with a corrupt heart, exactly like yours! *Once saved, always saved, no matter what you do, is one of the best lies of the devil.* The Spirit of God would never speak nonsense! All the New Testament is full of warnings, from Jesus and Paul, against the apostasy. To warn somebody when there is no danger, is stupid. The Spirit of God would never do such a thing. Open your eyes!! We need to study the Bible more! but *we need to take off Calvino's glasses* first.
@@EL_FIN_ESTÁ_CERCAso why are people going to hell if Jesus died for everyone’s sins? Oh and fyi, John 3:16 (as well as the other scriptures you cited) DOES NOT say that Christ died for everyone
Thanks for the teaching! Very insightful.
Thank you so much for this. It has helped me considerably.
God bless you.
