A tip that once learned - hold the frame upside down while brushing it so that none of the debris gets brushed deeper into the gun but instead falls down onto the cleaning mat
Generation 3 G19 is legendary . Owned Glocks since the 90s & have gen4 & 5 but gen3 is my favorite just for simplicity & available parts . I use Dawn dishwashing liquid & hot water with a brush to clean my frames then air dry . Johnny Glock has several vids on cleaning.
Nice vid. Not to judge, but you're over-lubricating a bit. Glocks don't need much lubrication. I follow the 3-2-1 method of Glock lubrication: 3 drops to the slide part- 1 drop under the slide where the barrel hood rides, 1 drop to each of the slide rails (make the oil spread up and down the rails). 2 drops to the barrel- 1 drop to the front half of the barrel, smear it around and 1 drop to the locking lug area and finally, 1 drop to the top part of the trigger connector (top rear right part of the frame). I suggest installing some trigger upgrades. You can do them yourself: a Double Diamond Black Yikes 3 pound connector or a Ghost Rocket 3.5 pound connector, an Apex Tactical polished safety plunger and an Apex Tactical flat-faced trigger. With all those parts, it will make the trigger pull lighter, decrease trigger pre-travel, over-travel and reset. Besides those things, don't mess with anything else internally or your Glock won't run right and be reliable. Try to also invest in a set of metal night sights. If you have the budget, Trijicon tritium night sights are nice. If you dont, there are other brands out there too like Meprolight, Ameri-Glo and eBay ones. You can find all these parts I mentioned on eBay and online. Have fun and shoot safe
Glock is the only gun I own that gets a little wipe down when it comes to cleaning. Clean the barrel and that’s pretty much it. I’ll give it a more detailed clean about every thousand rounds.
Get the deltac extended slide release. It’ll make it super easy to remove the slide. FYI u might not want ur coffee with lead n carbon, brother. Jus lookin out. I always enjoy a Glock post
i heard the hoppes #9 lube is just mineral oil? i doubt its true but i ended up switching to lucas extreme heavy duty. I also ordered some Eezox for rust protection. but YOOOOOOOOO your wire brush has me GEEKED that shit is spent.
Thanks for the info I seen the Lucas oil but I wasn’t to sure about it so I got the hoppes. I’ll grab me a bottle next time. Yea that brush is spent 😂 that just shows how much I clean my guns 😂 I’ll grab another one of those to 😂
Do all new glocks slide won’t go in, Only if you put the trigger forward to put the slide back to the frame? And also is it a breaking in issue for the slide to go back in the frame without putting the trigger forward?
oh you dont pull the pins out? if u dont know how to do it, i'll make a vid for ya that shows how to do it. strange but true, the trigger group, block, and slide lock all need to get cleaned up. great thing about glocks is they are super easy to completely take apart (the thing only has 43 total parts after all). oh...mag well also does get some dirt on it after a while. what i would do is go over that as well....just make sure you take it completely apart so you only have a bare frame...it makes it easier
Be careful cleaning a glock they are notorious for going off even with no ammunition in it. My brother God rest his soul was killed cleaning his glock.
@@Transbullshit2024 damn. Yea it’s good to implement safety protocols no matter how trained you are. Just like carrying appendix I think that’s probably the most dangerously thing you can do. Especially if you have one in the chamber.
@@Transbullshit2024 how can it go off with no ammunition in it ? Make zero sense sorry about your brother but it sounds like your brother didn’t take the proper steps to be safe while cleaning a firearm.

I was contemplating on the G17 but went with the G19 for carrying purposes. I agree, Glocks are reliable. Thanks for the comment.

I probably did over lub it I was tired 😂
My uncle had this glock but died cleaning it like you showed. He forgot too clear gun
Have switched over the years to non toxic cleaners like Breakthrough and Gun Werkz and Weapon Shield for a lubricant and most have little to no odor.
Ok thanks for the info I’ll check it out soon.
I love ballistol 💪😎

I plan on doing the same once I put one thousand through it.
