What a beautiful system! Adding the minidisc would put it over the top though. :)

haha yes, it would be over the top... especially because the minidisc unit is not the same size as the rest... so it couldn't stack!

It's a pretty slick looking "mini" system! To your last point, at least in my opinion, soundbars are convenient, but there's no beating the physics of having a proper set of speakers :)

@@iiidiyYo thanks for watching my ramblings!! Yes, I was fairly disappointed by my soundbar despite all of the reviews and promises I was given on it. The soundstage is much better on something like this

What a great system, my father has that one but the speakers are the J720 I believe, it sounds great with an external DAC. I just have a little question. Is it worth nowadays? I mean, for me it sounds fantastic, but the one my father has needs to be fixed the laserdisc and the cassette, or is better to buy a new Hi-Fi system? Also, talking about how it looks, I prefer the Pioneer Private B7 or B9, is the AV70 better than the previously mentioned? Greetings from Peru!!!

@@Gabo-rd3ic Thanks for the comment! In Japan, a complete AV70 brings $200-$400USD. Over here in the US, you could get a bit more due to the market here and it not being a common model to this country. Being a LaserDisc unit makes it more valuable... but only to the right buyers. Not sure of the market in Peru, but depending on scarcity, demand, and condition, you should be able to find out given Japan/US/Europe pricing. Repairing the cassette would be easy, as the mechanisms themselves are very reliable and usually just need belts after 10 years or so of usage. LaserDisc is harder to repair, but with new lasers and perishable parts still available, it certainly is doable. I've never heard the B7, but the speaker drivers look similar in size and the specs are also similar to the AV70. The B7 is older so it will look more 80s and also not be so plastic looking.
