I like the ND minis. Its a good way to try the brand plus 5 shadows is all you really need in certain color stories. It fleshes out the brand, offers a cheaper way to try the shadows, plus minis are just fun and convenient.
This may have been mentioned already but the brand LYS stands for Love Yourself. There's also an interesting reason all of there packaging is triangular. I think I remember it having a relationship to the greek delta symbol.
As someone who is a HUGE fan of nostalgia & collects childhood/vintage toys & who is also a part of the LGBTQI+ community (teletubbies are v loved in the community) I absolutely LOVE the teletubbies collab!! It just fits so perfectly and is done so well imo! The packaging is pretty bulky but I feel like it kinda just makes sense to create colourful liners for each teletubby! I would pass away if any make up brand bought out a Tweenies collab of some kind.. they were my fav as a kid 😭

ole henrikson lip goo is some of the best lip goo. i have it in strawberry sorbet, and it’s a really great color for my fair skin (slightly peachy pink, but the right kind of coral, IMO). I would try it. Great formula, long wearing, no grit.
The hourglass blush is REALLY pretty… almost like a watercolour type blush that is pretty buildable. I want a couple but only bought one since they are kind of expensive. Maybe not for everyone but I think it is the kind of thing I can wear everyday which is nice since it costs so much.
Those colour shifting lip glosses remind me of the frosty coloured lip smackers! I remember being 6 and putting on so much of that shit to pretend I was an alien 👽😫
There are actually no new shades in that Natasha Denona rose palette. One (Flesh) can be found in the 28 pan brown/green palette and Golden Rose was in the 28 pan purple blue palette an also in one of her original five pans (and I happen to have that palette and the 28 pan so no need for me to buy this). I think the only difference is that the creamy mattes are powder in the mini palette.
Can we talk about concealer lips. I didn’t like the trend the first time round, they wash out faces. That said, I’m seeing Erin Parsons and others talk about the trend so decided to play. It’s difficult to find the super pale lipsticks at the moment and I wanted to use what I already owned, so I’ve recreated the look with a cream eye pencil and clear gloss. Washed me out but then I played with a darker outline, blended and I sorta guilty like it. Pair it with a taupe eyeshadow and a bit of bronzer and it’s a fun look. Love my red lipsticks but sometimes it’s fun to play.
I'm cheap. Planning on letting my concealer dry on my lips and use a lip liner and balm. I already mixed my Laura Mercier powder with a powder blush from Bare Minerals to get the pink powder no one is talking about anymore. 😂

What you’re missing about the Natasha Denona palette is that the vast majority of people who buy makeup only own one or two palettes in either earthy neutral or soft pink tones. They have only one or two makeup “looks,” one for everyday and one for dressing up. It’s why the Naked palettes (and the maybelline nude palettes, the colourpop neutrals, etc) make up a HUGE percentage of a brand’s sales. They make the more colorful palettes for the 20% of customers who are diehard members of the beauty community, enthusiasts, or artists. But those soft mauve & pink palettes are for the 80% who just want something pretty, reliable, and neutral. It’s for the 30 yo woman who just got her first promotion and wants something that’s better quality than maybelline so she can look polished at work. Or the mom who needs something simple that works for drop off, PTA meetings, and her partner’s work events. It’s the 50-something who has never worn much makeup but is trying dating again after getting divorced. That is the perfect palette for the vast majority of Millennial and Gen X women. And there are millions more of them than there are people who want to wear a green and gold eye one day and a lavender duochrome cat eye the next. I’m definitely NOT in that 80%, but almost all of the women I know are. And everytime I hear a beauty influencer or content creator dismiss these kinds of palettes, it reminds me how easily the “beauty community” loses touch with the vast majority of cosmetic customers. Flashy palettes drive press, but reliable neutrals & rose tones drive sales and profits.
Got the Mario blushes in at work last week. They are absolutely gorgeous. Also with the ND mini palettes, I quite like them. I like that they are basically the 5 shades of the midi palette that I will actually use anyway. Saves me buying the bigger palette.
Model o sells. They aren’t after the market that cares about originality, their market is the bargain hunters. They are affordable, accessible and perfect for those with limited budgets who just want a couple of things to wear. I own some things from the brand, it’s ok, not the greatest but I can make them work and that’s ok.
I bought the Master Matte Nuetrals by Mario palette on a whim a few months ago when it released and I’m so impressed! I would definitely try more from the brand. That orange is sooo pretty.
I've given up on NDs midi palettes - they are so one note. I sold the glam and bronze palletes and went off buying the I need a nude after watching Kat's and others videos. This mini rose to me is what the mini startlette was advertised to be. The promo pictures of that were pink/mauve and the bloody thing was brown.
Love the twinning with the jumpers. You both never cease to make me laugh. I brought the Made By Mitchell lipstick in the shade the favourite, was hoping for it to be a mid toned rosey pink (looked that way on the picture) more of a peachy coral. It lasted really well on completly bare lips about 9 hours started fading and looking patchy apund the 8 hour mark. Not too drying on me.
The shoe comment about silicon sponges reminded me about a video by two polish beauty youtubers who compared the clear silicon sponge and a silicon fake boob. They worked the same it was hilarious 😂

But if the shades are already in other palettes, what's the point of buying the bigger one? Just for more shades? I might get another mini without duplicates. And also, if you already have eyeshadow palettes, you might be duplicating the shades anyway.

I brought the citrus Ole Henrickson gloss because said the chocolate one and another tasted gross and it seems this is no better. My citrus one to me smells like orange essential oil toilet cleaner and it's got a weird bitter taste that lingers for hours. But the texture is great, creamy plush smooth balm.
I have five blushes, and two of them are those Makeup by Mario cream pans. Love them. Really wish that summer collection had a lavender.... Or maybe that's coming in North America's winter. I love the bright.

I bought the Fenty body milk on a whim...its so freaking nice and absorbs quickly, doesnt leave you sticky but soft and glowy.

I am the same age as your sister and I recall seeing previews for the Chucky movie around Kindy age. At the time I was convinced my toys came alive at night and then I saw THAT. So yeah, I am also terrified of that little effer, too.

I brought the citrus Ole Henrickson gloss because said the chocolate one and another tasted gross and it seems this is no better. My citrus one to me smells like orange essential oil toilet cleaner and it's got a weird bitter taste that lingers for hours. But the texture is great, creamy plush smooth balm.
I have five blushes, and two of them are those Makeup by Mario cream pans. Love them. Really wish that summer collection had a lavender.... Or maybe that's coming in North America's winter. I love the bright.
