I thought my oven was broke in some way thank you so much! After 1 month of trying to find a video to show me how to get the oven going you finally explained it the best way! Thank you so much ❤
Very good video! Another thing people need to know is that Propane stays low to the ground or in this case, low near the floor. It isn't like other gases that rise. Opening a roof vent won't be nearly as effective to dissipate the propane in the RV as an open door and a portable fan on the floor will. That's why propane detectors in RV's are placed close to the floor.
BAM!!!! HE is at it again.. so many important tips and tutorials to keep your RVing safe.. Jason the way you are able to explain the tips out so they are not like stereo instructions is phenomenal.. Please keep us all safe and I never thought of using the cooking heat as an additional source of heat.. but I will keep and eye out for that smell!!!! Keep this videos coming!!!
@@HowToRV I honestly can’t think of anything that you have missing from this fantastic video!!! Could have maybe cooked a pizza in there to show how well the oven works.. then ate that delicious slice right on the video..

I sure appreciate all the feedback. I have seen your channel grow so fast and to hear that means a lot. Its taken me a while to grow. Also, this coming thursday i have a video giving a small highlight of getting to 1000 subscribers. Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by. Jason
That was excellently done! We just bought a new trailer and it has a gas oven. Our old trailer didn’t have one. Thanks for all the good tips on operating the stove and oven!
@@cvd127 that is awesome. The wife and I have been looking at some Artic Wolf 5th wheels. We love the 3770. It won’t be anytime soon but love the layout.
Great Video!! I was a little bored only because I am well versed in appliances. But I must say ye did a much better job than I would explaining to our novice friends what the real deal is here along with important safety issues!! Thank Ye !!
I have never ever used our stovetop or oven in our RV. I have been afraid of gas stoves. I need to get over that fear. Cause our new Fifth Wheel is going to have a amazing stove or oven. And there's going to be times that we can't cook outside on the Blackstone Grill. Our new Fifth Wheel has a amazing kitchen with lots of room to cook. But it's top secret on what Fifth Wheel that we bought. Big reveal in 2 weeks. Amazing filming and editing there my friend. You have come a long way and are doing some amazing filming and editing. I need to take lessons from Pros like you.
We cook mostly outside but i would have to admit, we like to do a lot of winter camping and the heat coming from the stove keeps us warm. We do open the roof vent to help keep the moisture down though.
We have lived full time in our fifth wheel for a year and three months. Suddenly we couldn't start it. Watched this and we must have gotten lucky before but now we are good to go. Thanks for getting to the point! 🤩
Great video with great information. You did a really great job explaining everything. I haven't lit a pilot light in awhile...eek! Lol! Loved the bloopers!! LOL!! 😂🤣
I'm looking to use the propane stove in my home. I'm hoping your guidelines will work for that. There aren't any vids (that I could find) that explain anything other propane grills.
Thanks for all the info and tips on your RV gas oven and stove. We don't have an oven in our trailer, but we do have a gas stove. Also, some nice editing and focusing there on those oven knobs, very smooth :) Congrats on monetization, I saw some ads :) Happy Holidays! Debbie - BluWave Odyssey
Happy holidays to you as well. Thank you for the kind feedback on the editing. Please keep the comments coming. You are one of my biggest commenters. I have gotten to look forward to see what you are going to comment next. Peace out and God Bless.
My camper's stove seems to be working good but I noticed when using the oven I get a strong gas smell. But my carbon monoxide detector is not reading anything. Is this normal for it to stink when using the oven?
We rarely use the oven but when we have, I did not notice any kind of gas smell coming from it. The wife has not said anything either. I know that some are more sensitive to certain smells but we have not noticed anything. Is the flame burning all the way down the heating tube? I would make sure that it there is a flame from fron to back of that tube to make sure that you are burning evenly.
@@HowToRV Yes the flame is burning across the entire thing. I have a nice counter top convection oven I might just use instead of the gas oven until I can get someone to look at it. The smell is a bit much for me.
I have not ran into this issue myself but if your propane tanks are full, on and the right tank selected, I would say that there is probably air in the system and it needs more time for the propane to get to the stove. I would suggest to have the dealer/repair shop look at it if needed. Propane gases can be really dangerous.
Is it safe to keep the oven pilot light on after your done with the oven for that meal, or should I blow it out and re-light any time I want to use it?
If you are going to leave your RV or be somewhere you cant keep an eye on it, I would have to suggest to play it safe and have the pilot light out. On my oven, when I am done cooking and turn the heat off, the pilot light goes out every time. Interesting that yours stays on. In addition to the above statment, if the pilot light stays on, you are using up propane that may be useful down the line.
You would be surprised. Most think that subscribing means that they have to pay for something. I have also found that if there is not a reminder, a lot of folks don’t think about it. Your thoughts?
Awesome video my friend i miss you we haven't talked in awhile we need to change that. Keep up the great work BIG thumbs up and rang bell please do same. We have a lot of new videos that I just know you will love, leave me a comment let me how your doing and have a great week.

Very good add in. Your right, propane can be deadly and needs to be managed with care.

Should the glass top that sits on the burners should it be up or down when using the oven
You have to keep it up and out of the way of the burners. If not, the glass will explode.

sent you an email, figured I would let you know here in case you didnt check your email a lot.
I got your email and responded. Good to hear from you. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I am curious to know what would actually fit in there to do any baking.
i can fit a small pizza and medium side cookie sheet. you would not be able to do a whole turkey sized meal.
Spark igniter won't light the gas.
If I am trying to start mine, it does take a little while for all the air to get out. I keep trying every 10 to 15 seconds until it lights.

How do you know when your oven has reached a temperature you want?
On mine, the heating element in the stove will reduce in flame size
What is wrong if doing these steps it still doesn't turn on?

Does it work without electricity?
If your is like mine and not part of the 12v system, it should. My has a manual clicker on the stove that ignites the flame.
Is it safe to keep the oven pilot light on after your done with the oven for that meal, or should I blow it out and re-light any time I want to use it?

Has anyone figured out how to clean under the black bottom? Had pieces of food drop under the burners.... 😅
Mine did too. I took it apart and cleaned it. Just have to be careful and not bend the sheet metal.
Ok so mine didn’t cook on top anything and burnt on the bottom. So I bought pizza stone didn’t try yet.
I have heard that so many times. Please let me know how the pizza stone works out for you.
Using a pizza stone helps to disperse the heat more evenly. The bottom of the biscuits don’t burn anymore. It’s a game changer.
