i must say that i even crack myself up from time to time when i play this back....LOL...I sure hope that you got what you were looking for out of the video.
Great intro! We don't have a black tank flush. I use a garden hose with a sprayer attached. Putting a screen on the bumper cap is a great idea! Thanks for the info. ~Lucy
That's good you have a black tank flush for cleaning. Our indicator is not always accurate either, so thanks for that tip about the dishwasher detergent. I guess any debris on the indicator can give a bad reading. Thanks for the info...well explained as usual. Debbie - BluWave Odyssey
Funny video buddy in the UK most vans use a cassette mainly due to smaller roads we have smaller vans mines 22ft and in some parts of Scotland that's a struggle. Our roads were built for horse and carts lol
I have always been interested in the RV van type of camping. I think that they are so amazingly built. We are to large of a family with the big dogs and all but i would love to try one day
Thank you. I found that idea from another RVer and it really worked. You have to be careful though so that you dont get suds in your camper while driving down the road
I had the same issue. Take a look at this video and see if it my issue and resolve may be something that would help you. ruclips.net/video/EBnlHmPTVQM/видео.html
With my new nitro,,it has 2 bathrooms Do I treat them separately, #1 tank... drain 1ST then flush.then #2tank..drain 1ST. Then flush. Do they run together,so you just flush the main black tank, are there 2 black tanks, To be done individually.
Hi there great video. I’m a new owner and my girls used the restroom on the 3 state drive back to our home and we haven’t flushed the Black tank flush. It’s been about 2 months now and I’m afraid it molded up in there or something. Can I pour bleach down the toilet and fill it with water to sanitize the tank and let it sit for a while before I use the black tank flush system? It’s a 2020 keystone passport 239ml if that helps. Thank you.
Victoria M Do not use bleach. That will make things a ton worse and create dangerous gases. You need to use waste tank treatment. Fill your black tank by using the toilet, to the half way mark. Put in Aqua-Kem per it’s recommendation. Let it sit for a day or so and then drive to a dump station, empty the black tank and then use the black tank flush to finish rinsing out. This will clean the tank and the chemical will dissolve any yucky waste that may still be in the tank. To find the chemical, go to my website, click on shopping, then click on general rv accessories and you should see the chemical at the top of the page. Hope this helps.
Imagine Your Odyssey thanks will do. I appreciate so much the tips. I was going to use bleach tomorrow. Lol i won’t be doing that. I’m glad you responded in time. Have a great night.
Add about 5 gallons of water and a black tank treatment. I use piranha. It eats everything. I also use it in my gray tanks just to make sure things are taken care of especially in the kitchen sink where food sometimes goes down the drain.
What do you mean about not opening the 2 valves at the same time at the 1:30 mark? When you're dumping it into a waste station what does it matter if you mix toilet water with dirty sink water? They are both waste. It's not like it's going back into the system if you open both at the same time. That has me confused. Can someone please explain?
Buy a flush wand and connect it to a hose push peddle or what ever and blast it clean nothing cleans it better in my experience no soap or any thing needed all your level indicators will work if you clean it that way once in a while
After watching so many sewage videos came across this one and I got to say, “I needed this laugh”. Thanks

@@HowToRV sure did. Newbie here, got a camper a week ago. Can’t wait to take the family on it to the park
Thanks for the info. I feel flushed and ready to go.
I see what you did there...ROFL

This is the first time that we got to use one as well. It works very well i must say.
All very good information , Black tank can be a big problem if you don't know how to deal with it thanks for sharing your experience
I agree. There would be nothing worse than having back up issues with a black tank.

As always thank you for your feedback. I hope you and Bob are doing well and glad to see that you are able to get back on the road

Question.. using the black tank flush, do i need to use a pressure regulator ? Great video !
I would have to say yes.
Man, you had me hooked from the beginning...hahaha! Great info! Thanx for sharing! :)
The beginning of the video was amazingly fun and had me laughing as i was making it.
Very nicely done. Good tip on troubleshooting the indicator.

I was cracking myself up the whole time while editing the beginning
Whenever I use mine I have a leak coming from the black tank flush.

I only have one tank but I would have tosay that if you have multiple dump valves to do all of them individually.

😂😂😂😂 dude you got me right at the beginning
Bobs AdVanture yeah. I made myself laugh on that one.
Very informative and great Intro haha
Yeah i kept giggling while editing the intro..Thanks
Does it only flush the black tank, not the gray tank right? Thanks.
That is correct, it only flushes the black tank.
Should I fill black tank up with some water before we use it for the first time at the campsite?
We put about 2 gallons of water in ours plus the sell good stuff. We have been stinky free for years now.
Add about 5 gallons of water and a black tank treatment. I use piranha. It eats everything. I also use it in my gray tanks just to make sure things are taken care of especially in the kitchen sink where food sometimes goes down the drain.
How do you fill the tank with water? From the toilet ?
That is correct. I usually do mine by holding down the toilet flush.
At the 2:30 mark you mentioned the part on the other side of your rv's black tank but you never did cover that. ???
The part that i mentioned at 2:30 was the black tank flush that came up at 2:39 to 2:40. Sorry if there was any confusion.

The main reason is to have some gray water to flush out the stinky slinky after dumping the black tank goo.
@@HowToRV ahh ok makes sense! Thanks!
@@JonathanLozada It’s my pleasure. This kind of community conversations are what I really want this channel to grow to. Thank you too.

I have often wondered how those systems work and if they are better or not. I just might have to give one a try.
Do a dump station at a gas station have to pay?
I have not seen one but i would have to guess that it is up to the gas station
Sometimes it's like 6 bucks
Spectacular and crappy but mostly spectacular. 🙂
Thanks. Love the pun. I was laughing at myself while editing the beginning the whole time.
Haha! I bet! that was hilarious and I know with editing, you probably watched it 30 times
Scott Jacobs in Appreciation oh that I did.
Mi have city water is the the same is black water tank
I would like to help. Can you reword the comment.
You never showed the valves
I can look into that for a future video.
Stinky slinky 😂
LOL> You're right
