@ Nic Hallam I'm looking forward to them fish for carp with par-boiled potato as bait. A major reason why these two lads are proficient at catching fish is their knowledge of watercraft. There's a lot to be said for a roving/stalking approach when it comes to fishing.

@fishseabass, completely agree with you mate. Good to see. Bite alarms are for lazy fishers, the excitement is in the watching float or rod. Competition fishing when sleeping fair enough bite alarm required. But I've always preferred falling asleep at night and my mind just sees a float on water as I've been staring all day.

That kind of fishing is exactly how I used to fish the Rivers Wreake and Soar when I was a kid aged 12. And 33 years later I assure you those tactics still work great on small rivers and streams in winter today. On really small streams a roving approach for a day is always a good idea and keeps you mobile in the cold. You'll also cover a lot of swims and different challenges. Good rod bending fun.☺ Good one Carl and Alex. Really great video.☺

Likewise when he looses a decent fish I feel all that pain. Last weekend he sat there with me all day, we tried all sorts bit not even a bite. then all of a sudden his float disappeared , he struck into it it and his clutch started screaming. He lost a 20lb plus carp so close to the net after a very long fight on 4lb line. He was so close to crying reminded me of when i was a kid and fishing was magical.

Hi guys without your vids I wouldn’t be nearly as excited to be on the bank. I’ve been fishing just over a year now. I started just after my 13th birthday in October last year. I caught my pb carp of 15lb 4oz which is the 3rd biggest fish out of the lake this year. Also a few weeks ago had my pb pike of 7lb 3oz. I had a Zander of 9lb 2oz aswell. So a jam packed year for me. I love it. But your vids fill the void when I can’t get on the bank so thank you very much.👍

These are quality contents. I feel like I've been spoiled by this video and can't look at other fishing video the same again. You set the bar a little bit higher and that's awesome.

Inspired me to get out on my local stream today. No idea there were even fish in there before today, when I caught perch, roach, gudgeon, dace, chub, and even a trout I was really in shock! Great video lads, keep it up your enthusiasm is contagious!

Growing up in Lincoln I can relate to this sort of fishing. So many tiny flood relief drains less than a rodlenght across that contained huge Roach and monsterous Pike.
A 20lb plus was very common, and no one else ever seemed to bother with them, 🤟

I love the peacefulness of these videos, and the simplicity of your fishing setups. There are too many fishing channels that open with cliche rock and roll and boat sounds followed by a 10 minute show-and-te... I mean "overview" of a $2k USD setup.
