I could listen to the beautiful music all night. My best friend used to teach Hawaiian dance and had a small Troup and they performed for seniors in nursing homes. I did a little dancing with them 😊🌺 This video brought me some nice memories.
Mahalo for sharing your adventures! Even though I've lived in Hawaii all my life, I still love to watch people try out experiences here. You two have a positivity that is infectious - will be watching more of your stuff.
Your first attempt at popoki was right on Kitra! So just a little background since I commented before, the musician who shaka'd at you is Kamuela Kimokeo, and he's a music teacher at University if Hawaii. The older gentleman is Jerry Santos and he's a well known recording artist here, has had multiple albums released on his own and with his group 'Olomana since the 70's :)
Dreams come true in Blue Hawaii, The Olelo Room ,Turquoise tasty beverages in Pineapples and smooth Hawaiian voices under the Hawaiian moon, I remember and I thankyou for sharing.
I hope the two of you got to hear Jerry Santos sing Ku'u Home O Kahalu'u that night. It's his most famous song and is so beautiful with his haunting voice and the picking on the acoustic guitar tracks.
I enjoyed this one brought me and my wife back to our honeymoon! We sat outside and had drinks and it was very peaceful. We also really enjoyed the little shopping center across the street with the ABC store. We would get poke and spam masubi!
Another great video!!! On our first trip, we had the most magical night at the Olelo room- they had a band who turned out to have a very famous Hawaiian musician (Kawika Kahiapo), playing beautiful music. It was the most beautiful evening under the stars that we have kept in our hearts since that day.
I think Kitra is lucky that Peter is wearing glasses 'cause sometimes I think Peter's eyes might pop out of his head when he tastes something really good and accidentally hit Kitra! Also love how Peter, on a whim, decides to change the rating system. 4/4 Peters! The mistakes and the claims of "We don't know what we are doing" is what keeps me coming back to watch Ordinary Adventures! You guys are great and the content is exceptional! Thanks for inviting us on your adventures!
It’s so nice to see Aulani featuring local rum in their drinks (KōHana from Oʻahu just a half hour’s drive from the resort and Old Lahaina from Maui)! And the menu is definitely upgraded with many tasty options! Those fries!! 🤤🤤🤤
I play music here in Hawaii - Kamuela and Jerry Santos are two of our very best musicians with tons of history. Glad you had a good time here, please return soon!
You need to do a scale on how high Peter’s eyebrows go because when you really like it they go all over but when your intrigued they go right up😄 love the vid it looked amazing with the music and fountains. 🤙🏻
The one thing I loved and respected about Disney’s Aulani resort, was how Polynesian traditional the architecture and decor was! Hawaiian with just a sprinkle of Disney magic to highlight the vacation experience
Awe! That was so relaxing! The music is wonderful. Now, our 16 yo son asks daily, "is there a new Hawaii Ordinary Adventures?" We had to wait until after online school and work was done tonight, so we could all watch together and reminisce over our own time in Hawaii. THANK YOU!! We really enjoy you guys! ❤️
So happy to know that you enjoyed The ʻŌlelo Room and got to see Jerry Santos perform!! Spending an evening with drinks and yummies listening to live Hawaiian music is one of our favorite things to do at Aulani. Like you said, night time at Aulani is sooo beautiful and magical! p.s. The tiki torches around the resort depict kukui nuts (aka candle nuts) skewered on sticks and lit (using the nuts’ natural oils) to provide light - a great tribute to traditional Hawaiian culture! 🌺
We didn’t realize he was a Hawaiian music legend. So cool we got to listen to him play, he was great. Oh and that’s a cool detail about the tiki torches

Oh this is a great question. My first thought it more lazy rivers as part of hotel resorts. Shave ice should be a thing at the Polynesian or animal kingdom. I’d love more hidden adventures like the hidden menehune or the adventure trail.
I love your videos of your travel to Aulani, I grew up on Kauai and now live in California. Grew up listening to Jerry Santos from a group called Olomana. In the first Jurasic, part of the movie was filmed not far from where we lived on Kauai, Right on Brah, missing home now. "Mahalo nui loa"
