One of the best episodes ever, not the best ending, but Momma Cherri will forever live in the hearts of KN fans everywhere as arguably the best owner in the shows history. Also Catfish is one of the hardest fish to cook, because it feeds on complete crew. The fact GR likes it says a lot about the recipe.

Honestly the few times he gets those good dishes he lets them know. I remember he went into a Soul Food restaurant and the way every but the dessert was made he said problems. But he asked who made the cake and the grandma raised her had, he gave praise and asked how she did it and she said home cooked. At times the answers are right there in front of peoples faces they just have to be willing to see it.
If there is one thing in life you can be proud of, even if you're struggling financially, its that you can cook food so good that Gordon ducking Ramsay finishes his plate. I hope she succeeds

When she said that she hopes he likes her main dish, you can tell the pressure was on full bore. However, she heard him say that he enjoyed the first dish, so you think she would feel a little confident in presenting the main dish. Still, all in all, she was definitely one of the better cooks that chef Ramsay encountered.
I would love to see the entire episode to see what Gordon thought was the problem. It seems like the food was good she just needed help with advertising and marketing her business.

WOW! Very interesting, I always had a feeling that Gordon usually says that he doesn't like the food (even when it's good) for the cameras but here we see that he will admit when the food is good. It's is crazy scary to see how many restaurants have bad tasting food and how in denial the people are that run the establishments! Glad to see a time when the food was actually palatable, it's even crazier because I'm sure that he is expecting the food to taste terribly so his mind is already geared in that direction. So to have him say otherwise shows that the food must have been perfect and spot on, mate!

Sometimes it's nicer to watch the more wholesome moments of Gordon interacting with aspiring chefs and restaurateurs who have the skill and kindness that deserve nothing but compliments and praise. We don't get to see this warm and fuzzy side of him as often beyond stuff like Masterchef Junior, or at least this isn't what elicits the most social buzz just because it's not a display of ranting, raving, and swearing at incompetence or overinflated egos like so many other dimwits evoke from Ramsay.
I swear, I went to this place as a teen. In Brighton, England, it’s a hole in the wall soul food restaurant. I was the only one out of my group to go because I was craving American food. It was absolutely incredible, and they were the only restaurant in England that gave me ice and free refills on my soda. Despite being mostly empty, everyone was absolutely delightful and accommodating. If it’s still around, I would absolutely go back 😊
Saddest part is: she still went under. 1. If you don't have a decent location, people won't be able to find you. 2. If your business doesn't have the right cost/income ratios, your business won't make enough money to survive. 3. If your presentation isn't great, your food could be great but it'll only ever be ok to the customers. 4. If your food isn't fresh, customers will be able to tell and it'll turn them off (the speed depends on how unfresh it is). 5. If your employees are too buddy buddy with the manager/owner, or that person isn't a leader, your business will fail. (lack of managerial/employee get-it-done drive, seriousness)
