Very good points! His all-encompassing view of what he’s doing is really inspiring. We hope to also catch Dame Mitsuko at some point. Thanks for watching, and for your feedback!
It's wonderful to hear a young pianist so devoted to Schubert. I've always felt that Schubert's piano compositions are the most terrifying to perform because they expose every flaw in a pianist's technique and musicality; but they are sublime when played by a pianist who is up to the task.
Jonathan Biss gave a similar interview, where he said that he has been hiding his nervousness. And he had to seek professional help as a result. Youn speaks realistically about Bashkirov.
Thanks so much for writing! We recently found an article about Jonathan Biss in which he talked about what you describe--completely amazing and fascinating, even if we are sorry he goes through that. I hope we can invite him to the series soon, when we film again in the US. Thanks so much for watching--zsolt
The way he talks reminds me of his music. How elegant! I really enjoyed this episode feeling like me sitting in front of him, having a talk.
We’re glad you enjoyed it and perceived it on the level of a table chat-we were going for that feel! 🙏✨
My feelings exactly. Thank you very much for sharing this inspiring artist.
@@pianoaddic1600 thanks so much-we’re very grateful for your feedback!
Ohhh my! Goosebumps! Thank you maestro
We’re so glad you enjoyed this to goosebumps level! ✨🥂
It's fascinating to see both the older musicians and the younger ones featured here. I like his approach to life and his view on playing at a competition (that often you have to play certain pieces to impress the judges). His humbleness and quest for perfection also reminds me of Dame Mitsuko, who loves Mozart and Schubert (and the contemporary). BIG THANKS forsharing this video.

Completely agreed! So exciting to see the emergence of a new generation of Schubertians~
