You remind me of my son who got a master's in engineering, Magna cum loudi from Villanova University, where he started the Nova racing club about 15 years ago. There, they built a 3/4 scale formula 1 car. He developed the printed templates you are using for the angle cuts. I would strongly suggest rig instead of mug. Great job though!! Nicely done.
Im 14 yo and almost done with my kart, I didn't have the tools for it either but I got my grandpa to support my project as long as I will do his stopping(covid19) and he gave me all the tools, components and engine!
@@kiru7seven7 hey man I’m 14 too and I wanna build on of these carts. How did you get all the dimensions? Seems like al the software to do so is a lot of money...
@@Sikeslikescars oh lol, 90% of those are not my father's tools. My father has never bent, notched, or welded a tube in his life. He helped me a ton when I was younger, but when I moved to more complex stuff, I am self-taught. That's why it looks terrible haha
I just ran across this while trying to build my kart amd I cannot find the degrees needed for the front support bar that the steering forks connect to, does anyone have the degree of bend that is
i have a lifan cart kinda like yours and i need a steering wheel type clutch that you have. Would you be willing to sell a copy of your setup. i can do it i just dont have access to a mill
If I were to make that custom part, I would be charging around $300 for parts and labor. You are much better off buying a part that is mass-manufactured for much cheaper. The reason I machined this part from scratch for this gokart is because I wanted the entire kart to be built entirely from scratch. More like a challenge and got to make everything custom the way I like it. It is not economical to do it this way
Your spindle arms are backwards... the method you used is for the arms infront of the spindles... just flip them from side to side and flip your steering column and you should be good... great work so far though

What kind of engine is that?
Love this vid
Keren
Kalau di kasih kirim indonesia juga mau ❤
1:16 box of shame lmao
What would you recommend for a 14 year old who wants to build a go kart but doesn’t have the tools for it?

Save some money for tools!

can you put a link to the clutch design and to all the other parts you made
Your dad must be a badass
i dont understand these dad comments
@@PeterArmour because he’s got a ton of cool tools at home so people assume they are his dads tool and that his dad is where he’s learned a lot from.
