I've gotten a 06 crf450 since my post. It does have A LOT of power. I do sometimes get discouraged because it's a little harder to handle, but I'm still glad I got it. I might turn it into a supermoto bike for the summer.

Road cycling is the hardest sport in the world.... 5 hours climbing the alps... crashing at up to 70mph on your bare skin... BUT Motocross is fucking amazing too!!!!

I also recall watching (on TV) some time ago where Ricky Carmichael was announcing (?) a race that Bubba was in and he very excitedly stated that Bubba had shot off the starting line doing a wheelie all the way through some whoop tee doos, and so THAT said a lot.
he already owned everybody, he makes all the "pros" look slow, he is like a super pro all alone in his own level that is above everybody else, this guy is a fucking beast.
a supercross race is about the race.... a championship is about points. win it or crash is how james does it, reed does it by making sure every week, if he doesnt win, hes second but its not a win or crash deal with him. Raw brutal speed, james, hands down. But Reeds saving grace, he CAN go fast enough to push james, or even ricky, to the point that they get ragged and there are multiple examples.

He's not racing in nationals because HIS CONTRACT IS A SUPERCROSS-ONLY CONTRACT. Professional supercross/motocross isn't like amateur motocross. They don't just go out there and ride when they feel like it. They have contracts that pretty much say when and where they're gonna ride, when and where they're gonna eat, which bathrooms to shit in, etc. To sign on with L&M Racing he had to sign a supercross-only deal. James tried to talk them into letting him race outdoors and they wouldn't.
Kawasaki did not even offer Stewart a deal, he held off for awhile waiting so he took up L&M on the deal... He's happy he made the change, let the fastest rider in the world be happy I say. I LOVE the fact hes now on the best bike and only brand I will ever ride, but I loved to watch him on kawis... hes DA MAN!! Kawi is gunna regret letting him go, they put all there eggs in RV's basket... not smart. Remember in the 80's when Honda had the top 5 riders? who won all the time... no briner.

Mcrath changed the sport bottom line. He made it looked @ as a real sport & brought in so many outside sponsors & mainstream media that it is practically what you see today on TV & why. RC came along &stepped it up another notch & just went a little bit faster &MC couldn't match his speed. JS has RC speed & MC swagger. Yes he does crash @ times but he is 3rd on the all time list & closing.He may not win the SX title this year, but there is still outdoors!!!
Totally agree about Reed he's bad arse but theres no such thing as trying to hard Stewart pushes him self to the limit how many times have you seen Reed go down two or three times in a race and still come back to qualify or win!!!
reed is up in points at the moment but stewart is faster overall and always was, when stewart does not crash he wins and the only reason reed is up in points is because bubba has had bad luckwith crashing, but dont get me wrong i love reed too and i think he is insanly fast but im just sayin bubba is a lil faster.. james and chad are my two favorite riders i cant wait till Vegas
