October 1964.... I loved this song already when I was a child....and still find it so very beautiful....
I’m coming here every September for 3 years after the end of holidays to say goodbye to all this memories. Basically I use to cry every time I’m listening to this cause it’s so deep and painful saying goodbye 🥺

Smoooth. Just heard this on the "George Gently" BBC mystery series, episode "Gently with the Iinnocents".
Yeah I did as well. Then the same episode was repeated and I put it on to hear it again. But they'd changed the song. Was very disappointed. Wonder why they changed it?

Remember the sixties
Ta very much. Another brilliant Dusty performance I didn't know about. I have to say I prefer the Frank Ifield version, which is one of my all-time faves. The arrangement here is a bit plodding, especially the bass. However the overall effect reminds me a bit of her immortal version of Windmills of your mind. Best female singer of her era.

Yes it is Dusty but before she died (2004? 05?) she fell ill with cancer. In this picture it looks like she is wearing a wig. Such a loss. beautiful lady, fantastic voice.
Takes me back to the 60s. Also, Holland's first and best pirate broadcasting ship 'Veronica' used it when they were shut down by the Dutch government in early 70s. This song always gives me goose bumps. Thank you for posting this.

I had the same question. First thought it was an impersonator. But looks like her hands. She had large palms I think. Ha! She'd hate me saying that probably. At times she'd write cue words on her palms, she rarely needed to glance at them to cue her next verse. Do think it's Dusty upon closer examination. The hair style is unusual for her and the nose doesn't look right. But Dusty had a couple of nose jobs throughout her career I think. Think she really enjoyed 'disguising' herself over the years with different looks.
Yes, people in America don't think of Dusty when the think about the British Invasion but she was neck and neck in the charts with the Beatles throughout the 60's. So many big hits for so long. Many Americans think of Herman and Hermits and Gerry and the Pacemakers and not Dusty. Ridiculous really.
